KKS includes difficulties hearing speech in background noise although results from pure toneaudiometry are normal. The condition is also called ?Obscure Audiotory Dysfunction? and?Auditory disability with normal hearing?. KKS affects a heterogeneous group. We believethere is a need for synthesis of existing studies to acknowledge the condition in Sweden toimprove rehabilitation for the affected individuals.

Följande uppsats tar avstamp i den kritik som har riktats mot traditionella studier av nyhetsproduktion, kritik som till mångt och mycket bottnar i att skapandet av nyheter inte är en autonom institution utan snarare en process som berörs av många intressenter, i vilken PR-konsulter utgör en vital, outforskad del. Syftet med denna studie är att söka svara på vilka ekonomiska, etiska, organisatoriska och journalistrelaterade grundvalar PR-konsulter deltar i den nyhetsskapande processen, och genom att göra det bidra till det diskursteoretiska perspektivet och utöka förståelsen för hur nyheter skapas. Uppsatsens teoretiska ramverk består dels av teorier som berör produktionen av affärsnyheter och dels teorier som behandlar själva PR-området. För att kunna svara på uppsatsens frågeställning - På vilka ekonomiska, etiska, organisatoriska och journalistrelaterade grundvalar deltar PR-konsulter i den nyhetsskapande processen? - genomfördes en respondentintervjustudie med sju PR-konsulter, för att på så vis fånga föreställningar och uppfattningar om deras del i den nyhetsskapande processen. Studiens resultat underbygger och stärker dess teoretiska ramverk och visar tydligt på att PR-konsulterna idag arbetar närmare nyhetsorganisationer och utgör en större och tydligare del i skapandet av affärsnyheter. Resultatet visar även det till stor del är pekuniära intressen som styr deras arbete, vilket till viss del beror på vår tids teknologiska konvergens. En slutsats man kan dra av resultatet ? att PR-konsulter idag är en tydligare del i produktionen av affärsnyheter ? är att nyhetsredaktioner i större utsträckning tar in kommersiellt material på redaktionell plats vilket tyder på att nyhetsredaktionerna håller på att utarmas, något som på sikt skulle kunna ses som ett hot mot demokratin.

The internet has become an increasingly part of everyday life with digital artefacts like smartphones and tablets. We?re looking at the usage of social networks and how the usage relates to traditional addiction. We conducted a quantitative research where 84 poeple finished our web survey. Our research focused on addiction, time spent on social networks, normal and non-normal usage and general user patterns.

SAMMANDRAGHistorisk Simulation, Delta-Normal och RiskMetrics prestation utvärderas med hjälp av Kupiecs Backtest. Value at Risk (VaR) beräknas med tre olika konfidensnivåer utifrån Affärsvärldens Generalindex och HSBC kopparindex. Utifrån överträdelser från verkligt utfall undersöks vilken VaR-modell som estimerar marknadsrisken bäst. VaR-modellernas prestation jämförs, och i analysen utreds hur konfidensnivå och tillgångars egenskaper påverkar VaR-modellernas prestation. Resultaten visar att Historisk Simulation presterar bättre än Delta-Normal och RiskMetrics på den högsta konfidensnivån vilket troligtvis beror på att RiskMetrics och Delta-Normal antar normalfördelning.

?Between normal and abnormal? is a qualitative literature study about adults with Aspergers syndrom. The study aims to understand how a person with Asperger syndrome understand himself. The study is built around two issues. These are; how does a person with Aspergers syndrom describe himself and how does the diagnos influence the self-image.

The purpose of this study was to compare normal electroretinographies (ERGs) from three different canine breeds in order to evaluate if there were any marked similarities or differences between these breeds as to ERG responses. It is known that healthy dogs from different breeds but also dogs within the same breed but in different age categories may have different appearances of their ERG responses. This may be a problem when evaluating if an ERG is normal or not from a dog within a breed not previously examined. Because of this it is important to obtain normal values for each breed and age group in order to be able to use these for later comparisons of ERGs obtained from individuals affected with various retinal diseases. In this study we have chosen to examine dogs within the three breeds: Labrador Retriever (LR), English Springer Spaniel (ESS) and Chinese Crested Dog (CCD). All of these breeds may be affected with hereditary retinal diseases such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). It is possible that ERG-responses vary due to a number of different factors.

Sömn är ett grundläggande behov som bland annat är viktigt för kroppens återhämtning och för att människan ska må bra både fysiskt och psykiskt. När människor blir svårt sjuka och hamnar på en intensivvårdsavdelning blir sömnmönstret ofta stört. Själva sjukdomen påverkar sömnen samtidigt som det finns många olika faktorer i intensivvårdsmiljön som bidrar till en störd sömn och dygnsrytm. Det är viktigt att som sjuksköterska förstå vikten av sömn och arbeta för att främja en god sömn och normal dygnsrytm. Tidigare litteratur har visat på en kunskapsbrist inom detta område hos vårdpersonal och att området inte skulle vara så högt prioriterat.

There are only a few published studies on the normal variation in ovary size in bitches. All of the previous studies have been made on the beagle breed. This study was performed on indian street dogs with the objective to measure ovaries and structures in the ovaries after ovariehysterectomy to decide if smaller dogs have smaller ovaries and how small and big they can be in the normal dog. The structures (follicle and corpus luteum) where also measured to get a maximum size for normal structures in the bitch. This information can be valuable when examining the ovaries of the bitch with ulstrasound.

My purpose in this essay is to show how the staff in an institution for young women with a drug addiction, are looking at themselves as "normal" and the young women as "abnormal", and to analyse how sex and gender are made, in interaction with sexuality and class.The essay is based on interviews and a participating observation. The study is made on a compulsory institutional care institution for young women with a drug addict. To analyse the material I use theories by Beverly Skeggs and Judith Butler.In the study I show that the staff in the institution define themselves as "normal" and intend to act as models for the clients, which are described as "abnormal" in terms of being destructive, boundless and sexual. In making class and gender the staffs efforts to make clients learn domestic values and to make their bodies feminine are shown to be central processes. Sexuality is by the staff seen as something happening only between men and women, and defining relations between men and women as always sexual creates gender.A central tension that I show in the essay is that between normal and abnormal, both in relation to differences between the staff and the clients and in relation to the staffs roles as both models of normal life and of violent and violating keeps of order.

Heavy duty vehicles often have problems with traction during the winter periods. For vehicles that can lift tag axles it is possible to increase the normal force on the driven axle by lifting one or more tag axles, this will then increase the propulsive force of friction. This however increases wear on both road and vehicle. A possibility to reduce the wear while achieving nearly equivalent traction compared to lifted tag axles is to allow the vehicle to regulate the normal force by lowering the pressure in the air suspension associated with the tag axles or by the lifting of these axles. The vehicle would then by itself be able to set just the right amount of normal force on the drive wheels to avoid unnecessarily high normal forces while maintaining sufficient traction.The purpose of the report is to find out which parameters affect heavy duty vehicles when driving on slippery slopes and how traction can be improved.

This Thesis in Military Technology deals with experiences drawn from the forced introduction of Weapons Station 01, 2009. The work aims to identify the experiences regarding the forced procurement of military equipment to see how they can develop normal and fast procurement of equipment. I den här uppsatsen presenterar vi några av egenskaperna hos Poissonintegralen på enhetsdisken U i det komplexa talplanet. I del 1 visar vi att Poissonintegralen för en kontinuerlig randfunktion är harmonisk på U, kontinuerlig på höljet av U och sammanfaller med randfunktionen på randen av U. I del 2 behandlar vi Lebesgueintegrerbara randfunktioner. Vi visar att Poissonintegralen konvergerar mot randfunktionen i ett så kallat icketangentiellt område nästan överallt. Vi visar också att resultatet i en speciell mening är skarpt..

I Sverige erbjuds barn med hörselnedsättning cochleaimplantat (CI) eller hörapparat (HA) beroende på typ och grad av hörselskada. Med CI möjliggörs utveckling av talat språk för barn som fötts döva eller gravt hörselskadade. Den tekniska utvecklingen jämte pedagogiska insatser har lett till en allt bättre språklig och kognitiv utveckling hos barn med hörselnedsättning och ett minskande glapp till jämnåriga normalhörande barn. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka olika aspekter av arbetsminne och läsförmåga hos nio barn med CI och sju barn med hörapparat. Femtifem barn med normal hörsel utgjorde referensgrupp.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how much of the estimated annual electric energy production from Swedish wind power that actually was produced, as well as the history of this agreement over time. The aim is to also examine if there are properties that have caused some group of wind power plants to produce more or less, compared to their estimated production. Operational data on wind turbines collected by the Swedish Energy Agency was analyzed. A survey was made among owners of wind power plants with a nominal power of at least 2 MW. Two different methods for normal year correction of production data were used and compared.
