The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyse the ideology behind Sida's cultural aid by using postcolonial theory. We want to analyse the discourse on cultural aid that is found mainly in Sida's publications. The interpretation of the sources is made with a hermeneutic base and by using postcolonial theory in combination with Paul Ricoeur's theories on the function of ideology: 1. ideology as distortion, 2. ideology as legitimation, and 3.

Media has power and impact. It is therefore important for managers to be able to handle media storms when they arise. If not, the brand can be affected negatively. It is managers who should learn to handle media storms because the managers constitute an important part of the external face of the company. Because it is managers who should learn to handle media storms it is interesting to study how media storms should be handled from a theoretical management-perspective.

Syfte 2: Vi vill också se om skolans organisation från kommunala skolpolitiker ner till lärare kommit så långt i sin omorganisering att man kan säga att målstyrning fungerar. Metod: Kandidatarbetet är utformat som en kvalitativ fallstudie och för att samla in det empiriska materialet har vi använt oss av öppna intervjuer. I vår avgränsning, att på kommunal nivå se och tolka hur mål formuleras för gymnasieskolan, har vi valt att intervjua personer inom gymnasienämnden, utbildningsförvaltningen och gymnasieskolan. Slutsatser: Idag fungerar den målstyrda skolan efter mycket slit av de ansvariga politikerna, förvaltarna, skolledningen och lärarna.

Based on 30 years of work experience in TV and film production, I have made a phenomenological analysis of my perception of meaning in work - how it arises and how it is undermined. The story starts in my experience of early professional film making in the 1980's and describes how a change to work in TV production required the development of a new professional identity. The text also illustrates how as a female director I have managed my role in a male dominated and structured work environment. Being defined as an exception from the male norm has pushed me towards femininist reflection and the need to redefine my own work role - the generally accepted view having felt uncomfortable. An analysis of structural change in TV and film production shows how market pressures and ways of thought have increasingly invaded cultural endeavour. Professional spheres of influence are weakened, while developments in the media are characterised by a commercialism which encroaches more and more upon artistic, spiritual and moral values. This attitude, where quality is in retreat, has transformedprogramme makers from creative originators into becoming suppliers of raw material in a factory- like process geared to produce great volume at low cost.The aim of this essay is to show how changes in society and in TV and film making have affected my perception of my work.

The purpose of this study was to examine people's experiences of self-medication with cannabis in relation to post-traumatic stress disorder and professions? opinions of cannabis for medical use. The study focuses on norms and values as well as its impact on individuals. A qualitative approach was used with thematically open interview questions, in order to gain an insight into the interviewees? reality and their experiences.

In metabolism Mg plays an important role because it affects many cellular enzymes in the body. The energy metabolism and protein synthesis are dependent on Mg as an enzyme activator, Mg is also involved in the synthesis of RNA and DNA. Absorption of Mg primarily takes place over the ruminal epithelium in ruminants. The main storage of Mg is in the bones but that can only be reached if the cow is in great need of calcium or phosphorus, it's a hormonal regulated process that induces catabolism of bones. Free and available sources of Mg are found in soft tissues and in the extra cellular fluids that includes cerebrospinal fluids and blood.

Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka hur individer med ledande befattningar inom Polisen Värmland tolkar begreppet jämställdhet. År 2007 firades att kvinnor funnits i tjänst inom Polisen i 50 år. Jämställdhet är numera en norm i samhället (Alvesson och Billing, 1999), och vi ansåg att det skulle vara intressant att undersöka hur polisen förhåller sig till den normen, eftersom det är en traditionellt sett mansdominerad organisation. Som metod har vi valt en kvalitativ ansats eftersom vi vill undersöka förhållningssätten hos de olika individerna, vilket är svårt att utläsa av en kvantitativ metod (Jacobsen, 2002). Vi har valt att intervjua individer med en ledande befattning, eftersom det finns forskning som visar på att ledningens inställningar till jämställdhetsarbete är avgörande (Roth, 2007).

I detta arbete görs en begreppsanalys av begreppet ?acceptans? i relation till döden, enligt metod för begreppsanalys av Walker och Avant (2011). Källor som används som grund för begreppsanalys är ordböcker och lexikon samt från databasen Cinahl funna vetenskapliga artiklar om vård vid livets slut. Resultatet ger attributen ?neutralt perspektiv?, ?vänja sig vid tanken?, ?motvilligt godtagande? samt ?sluta kämpa och släppa kontrollen? för det analyserade begreppet.

Studiens övergripande syfte är att göra en kvalitativ studie om hur transpersoners livsvillkor påverkas av deras könsidentitet, könsuttryck samt heteronormen. Ytterligare ett syfte var att undersöka hur transpersoner upplever att de blivit bemötta när de passerat som kvinnor och/eller uttryckt en kvinnlig könsidentitet jämfört med när de passerat som män och/eller uttryckt en manlig könsidentitet. Data samlades in genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fem självidentifierade transpersoner, varav tre identifierade sig som MtF (Male to female), en som FtM (Female to male) och en som intergender eller genderqueer. Deltagarna rekryterades med hjälp av Internet samt med hjälp av personliga kontakter. Med utgångspunkt i socialkonstruktivistiska teorier som queerteori har en tematisk analys av insamlad data genomförts, av vilken det framgått att transpersoners livsvillkor i stor utsträckning påverkas av heteronormen samt att de blivit bemötta på mycket olika sätt beroende på om de passerat som män eller kvinnor.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att genom en kritisk diskursanalys av utvalda tidningsartiklar, redogöra för framställningen av Islamiska Staten (IS) i Irak och Syrien. Det avses genomföras i identifiering och analysering av framträdande diskurser i textmaterialet. Undersökningens kritiska ambitioner ligger i ett synliggörande av medias maktposition i samhället med fokus på diskursen om Islam och muslimer. Media tenderar att presentera en bild av IS och tillhörande diskurser utifrån ett västerländskt perspektiv, vilket ger upphov till ett skillnadskapande av ?vi och dom?.

Högtider är i Skandinavien förknippade med alkohol och festligheter, detta är en del av vår kultur. Konsumtionstillfällena är få och oftast placerade vid veckoslutet, det är mer accepterat att vara full en fredagskväll är mer än en måndagsmorgon. Beslut från regeringen avser mål och insatser för bland annat användandet av alkohol samt att minska bruket av det. Att begränsa alkoholens negativa effekter har länge varit en viktig fråga för folkhälsan. I och med detta skapades kampanjen Varannan vatten, för att minska berusningsdrickandet i samhället.

Abstract The meaning of this essay is to bring you a picture of a growing unnoticed society problem. The statistics talk for itself. The low number of men who report domestic violence, where they are the victims, shows that the society doesn?t have a good way of meeting this type of problem which is based both on structural and individual problems. The lack of science and the legislation are insufficient and discriminating because they are built on a picture where women are the victims and men are the perpetrators.

During the last decade executive coaching has become an increasingly popular method of management development. Few studies have been conducted within this area, especially in Sweden, and little has been said about the construction of management in executive coaching. The purpose of this master?s thesis is to study executive coaching from a social constructionist perspective, focusing on the construction of management. The two research questions are: How is management constructed in executive coaching? How can we understand the construction of management in executive coaching? Additionally, we identify gender as a social construction of importance and thus include a gender perspective in our analysis.

My main purpose with this paper of John Steinbecks Of mice and men is to both analyze the long-lived structures and the unique individual destinies of the novel. I employ the method of the historical Annales-movement and use three divided levels in my analysis to try to capture these high structures and low moments of humanity in Structure, Konjuncture and the Individuality. The first level, Structure, is used to see how long-lived almost invisible geographic structures set the human act of condition. The second level, Konjuncture, is easier to grasp in understanding of time and embraces for example economic structures as the industrialism. The last level of Individuality is the fastest in time and easiest to understand but in the long run also the least important.

The point of departure is organization theory in a gender perspective. With the gender organization theory we examine the structures, leadership, symbolics and changes through the examined years.
