Background: Prostate cancer is the fourth most common cancer disease in the world and affects mainly older men. While having prostate cancer the treatment can be both medical and surgical and both these treatments can give side effects like erectile dysfunction, lost libido and hot flushes. Sexuality among elderly is often associated with taboo, but sexuality exists among elderly and is important for their wellbeing and quality of life. It is common that nurses don?t address and discuss questions concerning sexuality with patients, even though they know that sexuality often is affected while having a disease or experiencing illness.

CSR is a far reaching concept and practice, whose popularity and diffusion has increased rapidly in recent years. Research indicates that CSR has made an evolutionary journey from primarily being characterized by reactiveness to develop into a risk minimizing and proactive competitive advantage and should be looked upon as an answer to heightened societal pressure and awareness. Based on a review regarding different relevant theoretical perspectives, this master thesis discusses CSR as a concept and practical matter in relation to various strategically chosen representatives of a selection of professions.Moreover, the data were collected through in-depth semi structured interviews. The findings show that CSR is a contemporary and highly context dependent phenomenon whose inherent multiplicity brings a distinct aspect of uncertainty to it, in terms of both meaning and practice. And in some parts there is a reluctance to communicate CSR due to a fear of missing out of important aspects.

Tvåspråkighet ses ofta som något negativt och problematiskt. Ämnet svenska som andraspråk har låg status och Skolinspektionen har gjort en granskning som visade att det saknas kunskap om andraspråksutveckling hos lärare. Utifrån problematiken med andraspråksundervisning valde jag att undersöka en lärandemiljö som gynnade andraspråkseleverna. Syftet med min studie har varit att undersöka hur en främjande lärandemiljö kan se ut, med fokus på andraspråksutveckling. Jag har främst riktat in mig på andraspråksutveckling och hur en undervisning kan formas för att gynna dessa elever.

Bakgrund I dagens samhälle finns det en uppfattning om manlighet och vad det innebär att vara man. Att äta kött har kommit att kopplas samman med manlighet och styrka, och forskning visar att mäns beteende- och konsumtionsmönster påverkas av vad som anses förstärka den upplevda manligheten. Det är därför intressant att undersöka varför vissa män aktivt väljer bort kött i sin kosthållning. Syfte Syftet med studien var att med hjälp av intervjuer utforska och förstå hur nuvarande samhällsnormer påverkar män som aktivt valt bort kött och/eller animaliska produkter. Metod Studien utfördes med kvalitativ forskningsmetod, där sex individuella intervjuer genomfördes.

This thesis focuses on how companies in the textile and clothing industry view or interpret the idea of corporate social responsibility. The purpose of the study is to create an understanding for how this view affects the dissemination and the implementation of the idea in the organization and what might be the effects on the organization of those processes. In order to identify any differences in how the view affected the processes I have studied the current discourse on CSR simultaneously with my theory and conducted a comparative case study of two Swedish clothing brands. The theory focuses on the diffusion of ideas and change management within organizations. My data shows that the two companies have different ways of interpreting CSR and that this indeed affects their dissemination of the idea in the organization.

Rapport A 2005:19 som Statens folkhälsoinstitut har gjort visar på att hbt-ungdomar i vissa avseenden mår psykiskt sämre än övriga ungdomar och att det därför rekommenderas att personal som möter dessa ungdomar har rätt bemötande och kunskap om hbt-personers situation. Med anledning av detta har mitt syfte med denna studie varit att undersöka och beskriva hur kuratorer upplever att de förhåller sig till och tänker kring sexuell läggning i sitt arbete med ungdomar. Genom analys av enskilda intervjuer med teorier som social konstruktion, heteronormativitet och assimilering som bakgrund, har jag kommit fram till att kuratorerna i sitt arbete med ungdomar tar avstånd men också återskapar heteronormativiteten i samhället. En heteronormativitet som kuratorerna definierar som det som upprätthåller synen på heterosexualitet som det naturliga och önskvärda och som gör att denna sexuella läggning fortfarande är norm. Med hjälp utav öppna och neutrala frågor i samtalen låter kuratorerna ungdomarna själva definiera sin sexuella läggning som sedan, beroende på vad ungdomen själv vill prata om, kan få ta en stor eller ingen plats alls i samtalet.

 Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur avståndstagandet från sexuell praktik ? det vill säga asexualitet ? problematiseras inom vardagliga kanaler, så som inom film och media. I det samtida samhället utgör den heterosexuellt aktiva parrelationen en norm utifrån vilken alla andra intima relationer jämförs, granskas och bedöms. Genom att analysera och dekonstruera denna sexualitetsdiskurs traditionellt tvingande praxis, lägger uppsatsen vidare fokus på att synliggöra den asexuella erfarenheten i relation till nämnd heteronorm. Uppsatsens material utgörs av tre filmer som på sina respektive sätt presenterar, och samtalar kring, sex, sexualitet och sexuell identitet.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur kvinnor tolkar och förstår hur kvinnor och kvinnors sexualitet skildras i programmen L Word och Sex and the City. Vilka olika sätt att förstå och förhålla sig till sexualitet och heteronormativitet skapas i mötet mellan tittare och text? Metod och Material: Kvalitativa intervjuer med sju kvinnor Resultat: Informanterna beskriver en motsägelsefull bild av kvinnan som framställs i både Sex and the City och L Word. Kvinnorna ses som starka i Sex and the City på så vis att de är självständiga och lever sina egna liv. Samtidigt upplevs de som svaga på grund av att de är ytliga och fokuserar sitt lev efter sökandet efter den rätte mannen.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera vilka skattemässiga konsekvenser valet av redovisningsnorm kan medföra samt att fastställa vilken norm för varje situation som är mest fördelaktig ur ett skattemässigt perspektiv. Vi bestämde oss för att utgångspunkten för vår studie skulle vara Redovisningsrådets rekommendationer. Detta gjorde vi av flera anledningar. Framförallt är vår bedömning att deras rekommendationer ger den mest heltäckande bilden av god redovisningssed i Sverige. BFN är förvisso de som har uppdraget att upprätthålla god sed, men de har inte kommit lika långt i ambitionen att täcka in alla händelser som kan ligga till grund för ett företags redovisning.

The aim of our bachelor thesis was to study how the personnel incharge of the mobile websites at two University Libraries and thestudents at those Universities viewed the mobile websites, and iftheir views in any way differed.Our research questions were:Why have the examined Libraries chosen to offer mobilewebsites?How do the students at the examined Universities experience anduse respective mobile website?Are there differences between the staff?s intentions with themobile websites and how they are used and experienced by thestudents, and how could they be explained?Semistructured interviews were conducted with six staff membersresponsible for the mobile websites and eleven students that hadexperience in using these. The theoretical framework for thisthesis consists of Klasson?s three models for University Librarianspersonas, and the parts of Rogers theory about diffusion ofinnovations that concerns the attributes of innovations and thecommunication channels.The result of the study indicates that there are some differencesabout how the students use and experience the mobile websitesand the staffs intentions for them. The students required contentwhich the staff had discarded.

Innovation är av stor vikt för ekonomisk tillväxt och mycket pengar satsas på att föra ut idéer från akademi till industri. Tidigare forskning visar att endast en liten del av innovationerna inom industrin kommer från akademin. Frågeställningarna har behandlat vilka problem som uppstår under innovationsprocessen och hur en innovation påverkas av den kontext där den utvecklas. Teoretisk grund har varit en processmodell som behandlar invention, diffusion och tillämpning samt ett nätverkssynsätt som behandlar kontextuella skillnader. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ fallstudie av medicinteknikföretaget Sensodetect som utvecklar objektiva diagnosmetoder för psykiatriska sjukdomar.

The radio is a medium we often listen to whilst doing something else. We wake up, do the dishes, cook or drive to work. Radio as a medium reaches many people, regardless of whether it is through conscious or unconscious listening. We thereby thought it was an important medium to scrutinize in our study. The focus of our study is on the gender representation in P3 Nyheters broadcasts.

This thesis describes the introduction of Web 2.0 education into Swedish LIS education with emphasis on the driving forces and obstacles in the process. It also discusses the possibilities of estimating the appropriate time for the start of new educational courses introducing new technologies, when it is uncertain if the technologies in question will sustain for a long enough period of time to make the educational effort worthwhile. The data on the Web 2.0 education was collected during the spring of 2010 from the Web pages of the five LIS departments in Sweden, namely Borås, Lund, Umeå, Uppsala and Växjö, as well as by 10 interviews during November and December 2010 with two representatives from each LIS department..The key finding is that Web 2.0 is covered in Swedish LIS education and embracing both practical and theoretical issues. The main driving forces have been both the needs of the profession and an academic research interest. It is concluded that Rogers??S-curves? as described in ?Diffusion of Innovation? can be used as a tool in order to improve the understanding of when to introduce education in new technologies.
