Syftet med denna studie var attstudera förskolebarns erfarenheter av genus utifrån bilderböcker. Studien är baserad på kvalitativa boksamtal, där tre böcker användes samt bildanalyser av barnens teckningar. Boksamtalen gjordes tillsammans med tio barn från två olika förskolor. Resultatet visade att barnens uppfattningar av genus skilde sig åt, majoriteten uppfattade genus genom de traditionella genusmönstren medan några barn utmanade dessa. Samtliga barn poängterade att den verkliga skillnaden mellan män och kvinnor är den biologiska olikheten.

My study focuses on how heterosexuality became, and still is, the norm for sexuality in Namibia. My aim is to through interviewing young academics from University of Namibia and by using discourse analysis, queer- and postcolonial theory, try to find out how these young academics perceive sexuality. My findings are that my respondents perceive heterosexuality to be natural, normal and given by god, and that they perceive homosexuality to be ?a big no-no?. There are certain institutions in the Namibian society that regulates how the Namibian people thinks about sexuality, and my findings are that these are Christianity, culture, family, government, and the traditional picture of a good man and a good woman.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur lärare i Idrott och hälsa, Biologi och Hem ochkonsumentkunskap resonerar kring animaliska livsmedel i anknytning till sin undervisning, samt hurlärarnas läromedel förhåller sig till animaliska livsmedel. Empirin bygger på halvstruktureradekvalitativa intervjuer med fem grundskolelärare; två lärare undervisar i Idrott och hälsa, en lärareundervisar i Biologi och två lärare undervisar i Hem- och konsumentkunskap. Jag har även genomförten läromedelsanalys med utgångspunkt från en kritisk diskursanalys. Intervju- och textmaterialetanalyseras utifrån en kritisk teori och en kritisk djurteori. Analysen av studiens resultat understrykeren prioritering av animaliska livsmedel i läromedlen varpå den vegetabiliska kosten konstrueras somett icke fullvärdigt alternativ.

I dagens medielandskap lever många människor en stor del av sitt liv genom digitala medier, något som även påverkar skolvärlden. Denna studie undersöker den digitala utvecklingen i relation till lärarrollen och svenskämnet. Det empiriska materialet består av kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare som arbetar med medie- och informationskunnighet (MIK) inom svenskundervisning och skolutveckling samt en kompletterande intervju med Statens medieråd. Syftet med studien är att genom svensklärarnas upplevelse av att arbeta med MIK försöka förstå den digitala utvecklingens betydelse i relation till svenskämnet. Min hypotes är att dagens lärare behöver öka sin medie- och informationskunnighet för att kunna möta elevernas behov och kunna utföra sitt allt mer komplexa demokratiuppdrag.

I detta examensarbete studeras normbytet från BKR till Eurokod på en tillbyggnad till Växjö sjukhus. Tillbyggnaden kallas Hus X. I studien jämförs lastnedräkning och dimensioneringar mellan normerna, tillämpat på Hus X.Beräkningar och dimensioneringar sker i detta arbete enligt Eurokod. Resultaten jämförs sedan med de resultat som Martin & Co tagit fram enligt BKR.Dimensioneringar som utförs i denna studie är på tre stålpelare och en stålbalk.Materialkostnader kommer att minska något med normbytet. Stomdelarnas dimensioner skiljer sig dock ytterst lite mellan normerna, materialkostnaderna minskar därmed marginellt..

I uppsatsen vill jag undersöka samhällskunskapsboken för gymnasiet "Kompass till samhällskunskap" ur ett genusperspektiv. Genom att utföra en diskursanalys hoppas jag finna de diskurser kring kön och genus som finns i boken. Teorin bygger främst på Hirdmans två principer; dikotomin och mannen som norm och överordnad. Samt hur detta är grunden för genusordningen. Resultatet påvisar flera olika diskurser kring kön och jämställdhet.

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the conceptualisation of the social relations of class and gender within the Social Democratic Women?s Association during the period 1972 ? 1993, on the basis of their programmes for action. The analysis of the concepts is based on an ideology critical study focusing on the manifest ideology.The study is based upon the theoretical concepts of class and gender,  The class analysis is based upon the broadened concepts of class by Erik Olin Wright and Ira Katznelson. The gender analysis is mainly based upon a Marxist understanding and a critical point of view of Marxism and feminism in the context of patriarchy and capitalism.The period of the study is where the social democracy is challenged, both by radical socialism and feminist ideology and the economic crisis during the 1980?s, as well as the possible threat of an organised women?s party in Sweden.

This study aims to analyze the effects of the proposal regarding mandatory reporting for undocumented individuals within the Swedish public sector and how this potentially affects leaders in their efforts to motivate their employees to comply with this requirement, which is considered ethically charged. The primary focus is to understand how these leaders can motivate their employees considering legal requirements that are both legally binding and ethically sensitive. By interviewing leaders from various sectors within the public domain in multiple Swedish municipalities, this case study seeks to highlight the challenges arising from the amalgamation of legal mandates and ethical dilemmas. Its goal is to provide insights that can support these leaders in their complex decision-making regarding such issues. The study addresses theoretical aspects such as change management and critical organizational theory. The study's findings indicate that political decisions play a pivotal role in the processes of change within public operations. Resistance to change varies and takes various forms.

For centuries, the human body has been used as a mean to project the norms, moral values and aesthetic preferences that exist throughout society. It has been controlled through constrictive fashion, family and social virtues and through how we perceive gender and sexuality. This essay strives to show, not only how the body and the aesthetic values coexist, but also how they work together and influence each other, with the body as the aesthetic medium. To do this, Michel Foucault?s writings of sexuality and his theories on morality and discipline, as well as Judith Butler?s works on normativity and performativity are being used.

The central goal of this study was to compare statements of the minister of migration in power in 1994 with those of the minister of migration in 2006. The statements reflect two peaks of refugee immigration in connection to the war in former Yugoslavia and the present war in Iraq. The study analyses the statements in a critical discourse analysis framework. More specifically the aim was to find out if there were any discursive differences in these statements and how they might manifest themselves in society. The material was composed of 12 texts, 6 for each period originating from Swedish newspapers and from the ministers' public speeches.

This thesis treats the normative power of the European Union and its affect on Macedonia. The main purpose has been to look closer with the use of the application of Ian Manners theory of normative power on the Macedonian case. The focus will be to answer the following questions: Does the European Union act as a normative power in relation to Macedonia, if so, how are these values diffused? Has there been any effect of the spreading of these values? Based on six interviews and the available material of European Union strategies for the Macedonian membership I have attempted to understand to what extent the European Union?s normative power has had an influence in Macedonia. The result of my analysis is confirmation of the European Union as a normative power in Macedonia and the understanding of the methods of application..

This bachelor thesis is titled Who has Right to Rights ? a Critical Discourse Analysis of the Swedish Government?s Migration Politics and is written by Sofia Lindqvist within the discipline of International Relations.The thesis takes its departure in the paradox that irregular migrants in Sweden are given different rights depending on which state institution they face. Through its collaboration with the Environmental party, the Swedish government has made it possible for irregular migrants to access extended health care. At the same time, one of the main goals of the current migration policy is to make deportations more effective. This essay aims to explore if the Swedish migration policies are compatible with universal human rights standards.

In the light of the problems the media industry are struggling with, local news reporting is only one of the challenges the news organizations are facing. When local editors is being moved to the cities the tie with the local community is being severed.The aim of this study has been to analyze how the inhabitants of Vilhelmina municipality talks about their experiences of local journalism. With methodological inspiration from the Critical discourse analysis (CDA) this study examined the discourses of local journalism, social media, journalism's role and municipal policy. The theorectical framework consisted theories of media and democracy, convergence culture and discourse theory.The survey was conducted with four focus groups interviews. The focus groups were divided in different cathegories based on the participants experiences, ages and employment.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to explore concert institutions? informative texts prior to upcoming concerts ? texts in promotional materials and descriptive texts in programme papers. The thesis is carried out from a critical discourse analytical perspective. The discourse analysis is focusing on finding the texts? messages and it asks the question: To whom are these texts addressed? Theoretical support is mainly taken from Foucault?s theory about the relation between power and knowledge.
