According to the European Union waste hierarchy, waste should first of all be minimized. Reuse and material and energy recycling come next. Lastly the waste should be thrown at the refuse tip. In the inner city of Stockholm waste handling can be done in various types of ways. The solutions vary as a result of the type of architecture of the building and its condition.

An increasing global tourism offers great opportunities for Sweden as a tourist destination. However, an attractive destination requires competitive destination marketing strategies. Tourist destinations often include a complex network of stakeholders of small and large en-terprises that represent both the public and private sector. One condition for successful des-tination marketing is that all of these stakeholders collaborate in their marketing to create an integrated and powerful image. Another important aspect in terms of increasing the des-tinations competitiveness is that the local tourist companies are "export-oriented", in order to ensure that international tourists are looked after appropriately.This study has focused on the destination marketing of Stockholm.

Employer Branding handlar om att skapa ett starkt arbetsgivarvarumärke och hur medarbetarna förmedlar varumärket. Stockholm stad använder visionen "Ett Stockholm i världsklass" i sitt Employer Branding arbete. Endast lite forskning finns kring hur medarbetarna upplever sin organisation i samband med ett Employer Branding-byggande. Syftet med denna studie var att öka förståelsen för hur medarbetare i organisationen Stockholm stad upplever tillhörighet och delaktighet. En observation och fyra intervjuer genomfördes.

Många byggprojekt håller på att genomföras i Stockholm för att möta befolkningsökningen. Uppsatsens syfte är att ta reda på och redovisa om och hur de involverade aktörerna i byggnationen av Hjorthagen, Norra Djurgårdsstaden i Stockholm arbetar med genus- och jämställdhetsfrågor. Frågan är om Hjorthagen kommer att kunna bli en mer jämställd stadsdel än de övriga i Stockholm. Hypotesen som uppsatsen fokuserat kring är att ambitionerna att skapa en ökad jämställhet finns men att de inte införlivas.Den svenska staten försöker implementera jämställdhetsarbetet inom de flesta områden idag men samhällsplaneringen har inte visat något större intresse för detta. Det är Stockholms stad som har det övergripande ansvaret för den fysiska planeringen i Stockholm men också för den sociala hållbarheten där jämställdhet räknas in.

Den här uppsatsen är en kvalitativ analys om hur Stockholm stad har valt att använda sig utav eventkommunikation för att kommunicera ett budskap. Eftersom att event kan användas som strategi inom flera typer utav kommunikationsområden, används här begrepp som kan relatera till flera av dessa områden.För att komma i närmare kontakt med eventet har intervjuer genomförts med projektledaren och kommunikationsansvarig för Kulturnatt Stockholm. Genom textanalys, retorisk analys och innehållsanalys studeras intervjusvaren och en reklamaffisch som utformats för att marknadsföra eventet.Det kan konstateras att det utformade syftet för eventet går hand i hand med det kommunicerande budskapet och att Stockholms stads intressen kan återspeglas i reklamaffischen. .

The reconstruction of a central area in Stockholm named Slussen (The sluice) has frequently been portrayed and debated in media over the last few years, escalating around December 2011 when the major decision regarding Slussen was to be made by the city council. The area serves as a traffic node connecting the areas of Södermalm and Gamla Stan (Old town) together. The last major change of Slussen was completed in 1935, best described as a modernistic traffic and architectural piece of work. It is indisputably an area of importance for the city of Stockholm, its citizens and visitors. How has media reported the development of the New Slussen project?The analysis, and the conclusions drawn from it, will be based upon and performed with a quantitative content analysis and critical discourse analysis.

This essay was written at Södertörn University during the spring semester of 2010, in the field of Business Administration, and more precisely within management and organization. The essay is based on a case study of the management of the staff working at the commuter train stations in Stockholm. The study consists of a number of interviews with the management staff and with the personnel working at the stations, where the aim of the study is to describe how management works within ISS Trafficare AB and what the personnel working at the stations think of it. ISS Trafficare AB is the entrepreneur who runs the commuter train stations in Stockholm by an agreement met with Stockholmståg KB.The study is based on information from the interviews with the personnel and other material from ISS Trafficare AB. This study focuses on a reconstruction proposal of a small part of a rural churchyard that has lost a big part of its history, in form of its conformation and plant material. The chosen part of the cemetery was established in 1938, and this proposal is an interpretation of the architect?s original plan, the workers wishes and my own observations and experiences of the place. In this proposal I have tried to balance the plants composition to create an environment that can benefit the biological diversity, that fits the locations habitat and today?s maintenance.

Arbetet är ett samarbete mellan författaren och Specialkarosser AB.En mängd olika lösningar har utarbetats där det till slut uppenbarats fyra olika koncept på lösningar. Dessa olika lösningar har vägts mot varandra utifrån den metod som använts. Resultatet av dessa bedömningar blev ett koncept där tanken bakom lösningen är att utforma en kapsel som efterliknar det formspråk som finns på framlyktorna på lastbilar, samt att den ska kunna kombineras med flera likadana kapslar för att få fler lyktor..

A frequently asked question in real estate marketing is at what time of the year it is optimal to invest or sell. The aim of the project was to answer this question and to generate a prediction model over real estate located in the centre of Stockholm that takes seasons into account. With acquired sales statistics in Stockholm between 2010 and 2013 it was possible to perform a linear least square regression, also known as Ordinary Least Square (OLS), with describing qualities and season of sale as parameters. Statistical problems such as Multicollinearity and Heteroskedasticity have been taken into account when deriving the model. The result was a highly accurate prediction model indicating the profitability of investing in real estate during the summer and selling during the autumn..
