Den kontinuerliga samhällssträvan mot en mer hållbar utveckling är en av de svårasteutmaningarna som människan har bemött under modern tid. Dess innebörd medför att våralevnadsvanor på alla plan måste anpassa sig efter de nya förutsättningarna som vi förr ellersenare måste bemöta. Inom infrastrukturella termer medför detta en allt mer pressad situationför både transport, logistik, kommunikation och trafiksektorn. Även den levande stadenutsätts för hårda påfrestningar där stadsutvecklingen måste ske i samklang med den hållbarautvecklingen. För att nämna några konkreta exempel är Stockholms region en av tusentalsandra storstadsregioner i världen som ämnar till att utvecklas till en storstadsmetropol ochalltid sträva mot att vara konkurrenskraftig från alla perspektiv gentemot andra storstäder.

Jag var utbytesstudent i Tokyo, Japan under våren 2007. Där intresserade jag mig för de olika kläduttryck som ungdomarna använde sig av i stadsdelen Harajuku. När jag kom hem till Stockholm igen såg jag tydligt hur de Harajukuinspirerade stilarna hade växt fram här.Uppsatsen tar avstamp i Harajukus mode. Syftet är att undersöka hur det har förflyttats och utvecklats i Stockholm, vad har förändrats, förstärkts eller suddats ut och varför? Vad förändras i överföringen? Jag ställer följande frågor: Hur ser det Harajukuinspirerade modet ut bland unga i Stockholm? Hur ser det ut i jämförelse med de unga i Harajuku? På vilket sätt har modet förändrats och varför? Vad kan jag som bildpedagog erbjuda ungdomar för att de ska få utveckla sina intressen inom subkulturen? Hur kan jag skapa en miljö med verkstäder och utställningar som passar denna målgrupp? I mitt designpedagogiska projekt skapar jag en japansk subkulturfestival med verkstäder och fotoutställning på Lava på Kulturhuset den 24-25 november.

In this study the authors have explored the new phenomenon Web-TV and what attitude young adults in Stockholm have towards this media and the applied advertisement. Further the study includes search outs of other studies for the authors to draw parallels to compare their result to be able make conclusions. Finally, Web-TV is discussed how the commercial on Web-TV could be developed to be as responsive as possible regarding the consumers..

The proportion of women entrepreneurs in Sweden is, as in many countries, smaller than the proportion of men entrepreneurs. Sweden has therefore created political measures with the ambition to increase women entrepreneurship. However, knowledge about the determinants of women entrepreneurship is needed in order to enable the promotion of it and, at the same time one can question the treatment of women entrepreneurs as a homogenous group. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the determinants of women entrepreneurship and whether these determinants fluctuate regionally. If this proves to be the case, a more spatial/individual approach should be used, when creating measures to promote entrepreneurship.

Spending a night out in the nature is away for many to experience a slowerpace of life. Refuge cabins are a typeof open-air facility sometimes provided for more far off locations, yet it is in the vicinity of cities and towns that the opportunity for getting out into the natural environment is mostly sought after. Several nature reservs exist around Stockholm with the good intention of promoting the opportunity for outdoor activities. The aim of this study is to investigate how the provision of refuge cabins can be a means of facilitating and augmenting outdoor life experience in a proposed nature reserv to the west of Stockholm.

The purpose of the study was to learn how social structures can enable accessibility, by asking persons with visual impairment about their experiences of accessibility in the public environment in the city of Stockholm. Eleven adults with visual impairments, living in the city of Stockholm, were interviewed using two separate focus groups. The study was carried out with the objective to allow for the participants to be involved in the research process. The resulting data was analyzed on the basis of Nancy Fraser?s theory on social justice, focusing on the conceptions; needs, politicised needs, redistribution, recognition and misrecognition.

Fisksätra has a historical background that goes back to the battle between Russia and Sweden that took place in 1719. This battle is known as "Slaget vid Stäket". Today there are plans to develop Fisksätra as a tourist destination where focus lays on the historic factor of the battlefield that took place there. As of this a project called the HAMN project has started to try to develop a new experience park at this destination unlike any other.The aim of this essay has been to study how much potential this experience park has to become a popular tourist destination in the future, while looking at the potential interest of the foreign tourists. This essay is written as an assignment for Göran Andersson, who is in charge of the tourism department at Södertörns Högskola.

AimThe aim of this study has been survey the possibilities for short-term stays in the Stockholm Archipelago for people without their own means of transport, own equipment and/or experience of outdoor life.To fulfil this aim, the following questions were formulated:? What communications are available to chalet parks in the Stockholm Archipelago?? What overnight accommodation is available in the chalet parks in the Stockholm Archipelago?? What activities can be pursued in the Stockholm Archipelago?? What is the financial cost of travelling to and staying in the Stockholm Archipelago for a week?MethodWe chose to use six interviews and three observations in order to gain as much insight as possible. Interviews were conducted with Claes Petterson at Waxholmsbolaget, a company that provides transport services in the Archipelago, and with managers for five chalet parks: Rolf Andersson for Finnhamn, Per Englund for Grinda, Arne Johansson for Rånö, Pär Hjärtström and Peter Hösöyen for Gålö and Anders Bedinger for Gålö and Nåttarö. The interviews were recorded in writing and on tape. Observations were carried out at three chalet parks, i.e.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur kvinnor, inflyttade till Stockholm från Norrbottens län och som bott i staden i mer än fem år, konstruerar sin identitet i relation till rådande diskurser om storstad/småstad eller storstad/landsbygd. Analysen är utförd baserad på sju intervjuer med kvinnor i åldrarna 36-48 år, alla härstammande från Norrbotten. Efter analys framkommer det att kvinnornas identiteten är del i en konstruktion, en ständigt pågående process som aldrig riktigt blir färdig, då kvinnorna ständigt skapar sin identitet i förhållande till ?det andra?, eller får sin identitet bekräftad eller definierad av andra. Det blir också tydligt att norrbottniskhet inte bara har att göra med identitet, utan även också med klass, då det i dualiteten mellan Stockholm och Norrbotten framstår ett maktförhållande, och det står i slutändan klart att kvinnorna inte bara gjort en identitetsresa utan även också en klassresa, genom sitt val att byta ut Norrbotten mot huvudstaden i söder..

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera och analysera hur ledningen vid Länsförsäkringar Stockholm arbetar med att förbereda sin organisation för en förestående förändring inom Livförsäkringsverksamheten. Utifrån detta ämnar vi även utveckla språk- och teoribildningen och generera ett antal hypoteser. Metod: Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ fallstudie och vi har använt ett abduktivt tillvägagångssätt. Empirin består av intervjuer, artiklar, hemsidor och material från fallföretaget. Vi konstruerade även en modell för att strukturera teorierna och underlätta analysen.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka medlemmars och anställdas uppfattningar om den idéburna organisationen Fountain House Stockholm som aktör inom området psykisk ohälsa över tid. För att kunna uppnå syftet kommer två frågeställning att besvaras; hur medlemmar och anställda vid Fountain House Stockholm på ser organisationens arbete med psykisk ohälsa över tid samt hur medlemmar och anställda på Fountain House Stockholm ser på organisationens arbete i relation till det offentliga arbetet med psykisk ohälsa över tid. Studien har en kvalitativ forskningsdesign med en induktiv ansats och empirin består av fem stycken halvstrukturerade livsvärldsintervjuer med medlemmar/anställda på Fountain House Stockholm genomförda i maj 2013. I materialet kunde återkommande resonemang och begrepp tydliggöras som senare fick utgöra studiens teman. Dessa teman analyserades mot studiens teoretiska utgångspunkter samt tidigare forskning inom området.

Those who have invested in apartments, i.e. tenant-ownership, within the city centre of Stockholm have gained a higher than expected return on investment due to a buoyant real estate market. During the latest twelve-month period, the prices have risen more than 20 per cent in the city of Stockholm, resulting in an increased wealth together with a higher debt burden among investors. The aim of this thesis is to investigate which factors determine the prices from a micro perspective, and to what extent. An attempt is particularly made to estimate the degree of capitalization of the monthly fees; a factor which has turned out to be important according to other studies; but also to construct pricing models in order to set target prices for apartments.

Rooted in Industrial Ecology (IE) theory, this report evaluates how urban agricultural concepts and techniques, can contribute to improved ecological sustainability within the inner city boundaries of Stockholm. An overarching literary study as well as an interview was carried out, resulting in a qualitative analysis followed by suggestions for practical implementations. A substantial convergence was found between the eco-restructuring objectives of IE and the principal motives for urban agriculture. Consequently, eco-restructuring objectives are found in varying degrees in the presented urban agricultural techniques. Industrial symbioses, permaculture and combinations of urban agricultural techniques are tools which are capable of corresponding adequately to the diversity of urban settings.
