Almost half of the population in Sweden suffers from obesity and the cases of eating disorders are increasing. We are exposed daily to the belief that losing weight will make us happier and it will just be through this particular diet. Even if it has been proven that short dieting plans like ?lose 20 pounds in one month? doesn?t give a long-term result, society continues to buy into the idea that they do.Every day 16000 placards are placed around us in Sweden with loud yellow colors and big black letters which make them almost impossible to avoid. Their main purpose is to attract and get as many people as possible to buy single copies.This essay deals with several questions: How diet tips figures on placards and how this has developed through years.

In this qualitative thesis I have studied the process of street-naming in Budapest. I have done this primarily through examining legislative and street name records in Budapest in order to define a distinctive use of history. In an attempt to concretise public opinion, I designed and distributed a succinct questionnaire and used newspaper articles to create a clear view of the political milieu. Furthermore, I have utilised a typological method to summarise the use of history and elucidate the results. I came to the conclusion that a moral and, to some extent, ideological use of history is dominating the street-naming situation in contemporary Budapest.

The purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the suitability of the three instruments SERVQUAL, SERVPERF and Zone of tolerance to measure service quality, from the respondents' perspective. This study has been carried out by a quantitative method in which respondents answered three questionnaires, which was based on the three instruments. The SERVQUAL instrument is a revised version based on criticism by Carman (1990). It is based on the five dimensions; reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangibility, with 22 items in which each dimension is associated with a number of items. SERVPERF is the instrument most similar to SERVQUAL and is also composed of the same five dimensions.

This essay examines if there is any difference how the two biggest tabloids in Sweden, Aftonbladet and Expressen is portraying the Swedish national football team for both woman and men. The purpose is to compare and see if there is any difference regarding what gender you have. We have also examined what gender the authors for the articles have. We have used a quantitative content analysis to get our results. In conclusion, there is a big difference in medial space regarding what gender you have.

Detta arbete handlar om organisationskultur och förändring på SJ. SJ är en organisation som har varit med om både stora och små förändringar under dess långa levnadstid. Det som belyses i detta arbete är de anställdas roll och ledarskapets betydelse för att organisationskulturen inte skall utgöra ett hinder i utveckling och förändring. Arbetet handlar även om produktionens påverkan på organisationskulturen. Syftet var att titta på vilka kulturella faktorer som det är viktigt att beakta för att åstadkomma ett lyckat utvecklingsarbete.

Magnetiskresonanstomografi, MRI, är en användbar teknik inom flera områden, i denna uppsats ligger fokus på användning inom medicin. Fysiken som ligger bakom MRI presenteras, som t ex uppdelning av energinivåer och kärnmagnetiskresonans. Uppbyggnad och tekniken som ligger bakom MRI har även studeras. Sedan har det gjorts jämförelse mellan MRI, röntgen och datortomografi. Utöver litteraturstudierna har simulering gjorts. I denna del har en modell för hjärnan byggts i programmet Comsol Multiphysics.

Det finns en sorts föremål som jag uppfattar som hemliga. Trots det fångar de alltid min uppmärksamhet. Jag trivs med dem och är nyfiken på dem. Jag har döpt dem till Redskapen och jag har undersökt vad de har gemensamt.Detta blev utgångsläget i ett försök att hitta tillvägagångsätt för att applicera Redskapens framträdande egenskaper på en möbelserie.Undersökningen av deras kvaliteter har legat till grund för besluten kring hur möbelserien ska utformas. Banverket är den myndighet som har ansvaret för järnvägstransportsystemet i Sverige och är en producent av järnvägsinformation. En stor del av infrastrukturinformationen lagras i baninformationssystemet BIS och Banverket är förpliktad att tillhandahålla den. I nuläget är informationen åtkomlig på ett lätt sätt främst internt. Dessutom ställer dagens samhälle krav på att informationen ska levereras enligt standard. Standardiseringsorgan har tagit fram standarder för geografisk information som svar på behovet att återanvända och samutnyttja geografiska data. Vårt examensarbete är genomfört på Banverket Verksamhetsstöds IT-avdelning och var inriktat på att kartlägga standarder för geografisk information och utveckla en webbtjänst för BIS för att öka tillgängligheten till informationen. The aim of this thesis was to examin how librarians arepresented in the Swedish daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter.My research questions were: How are librarians and thelibrarian profession presented in articles in DagensNyheter? and What discourses can be identified in thearticles?I have analysed 69 articles from between 2012-01-01 and2013-01-01 by using discourse analysis as both theory andmethod.Three discourses emerged through the analysis: discourseabout librarians and litterature, discourse about librariansand censorship and discourse about librarians and thelabour market.The conclusions drawn from this study are that librariansare strongly associated with litterture and reading and withthe labour market. There are also clear tendencies thatlibrarians whish to change the old, stereotypical images thatthey are associated with, and do so by using humor..

Utgångspunkten och inspirationen för mitt examensarbete var en nyfikenhet på bilderboken som format och objekt. Under sjutton veckor utforskade jag bilderboksformatet genom att skriva, illustrera och formge en egen berättelse. Det konkreta, offentliga, resultatet blev en 28-sidig bilderbok om jordens undergång, ?Noas Hotell?, utgiven på eget förlag. Teoretiskt blev resultatet en grundläggade förståelse för bilderbokens egenart och barnperspektivets viktiga roll (och potential) i bilderboksmediet samt möjligheterna och svårigheterna med att både skriva och illustrera en bilderbok..
