Background: Anorexia nervosa is a disease that often strikes teenager girls. The causes of the disease are not entirely known, but there are redeemed and maintenanced factors. The factors describes as biological, psychological and sociocultural. Aim: The aim of the study was to illuminate the nurses problem in caring of girls that developed anorexia nervosa. Method: The method of this essay is a literature study.

The focus of the thesis is: how conditions for agriculture in the Republic of Macedonia today may form the basis for development of the agricultural sector towards conditions needed for future accession into the European Union. The method for investigating this question has been to look at newly available farm monitoring system (FMS) data from Macedonia. Also to look at the latest government policies created in the country for the agricultural sector and rural areas in relation to the requirements for EU accession. Articles and empirical studies published by other authors related to the questions which arise in this study have been reviewed and presented herein. Trade relations, trade patterns and national economic and agricultural trends are displayed to provide a background overview for the study of the agricultural sector.

Bland äldre patienter i Sverige är undernäring ett problem som växer sig allt större.Forskning har visat att många äldre patienter riskerar att drabbas av ohälsa, minskatvälbefinnande och lägre egenvårds kapacitet vid undernäring (Johansson, 2004).Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att genom omvårdnadsforskning belysasjuksköterskors attityder och kunskaper till nutritionsbehov ochnutritionsbedömningar hos äldre patienter över 65 år. En systematisk litteraturstudievaldes som metod, systematisk sökning, kritisk granskning, dataanalys samtsammanställning av vetenskapliga artiklar inom problemområdet gjordes. Idataanalysen framkom teman som sjuksköterskors attityd till nutrition,nutritionsbehov och nutritionsbedömning av äldre patienter. Sjuksköterskors kunskapoch utbildning om nutritionens betydelse för patienternas välbefinnande. Resultatet idenna studie visar att nutritionskunskap och utbildning bland sjuksköterskor i dag ärotillräcklig.

Background:Approximately 300 children get a malign cancer diagnosis every year in Sweden, 80 % of them survive. Parents of the children who have a cancer diagnosis experienced that they didn't have mental health, nurses care of parents are to keep a mental health so they can handle their parent role. Nurses should meet families through their life-world because caring should be done with dignity and integrity.Aim:The aim of this study was to describe how parents experience the daily life with a child who has a cancer diagnosis.Method:The method used in this study was a literature study based on autobiography, which means analysis of autobiographies. Four books were analyzed.Results:Four categories emerged from the analysis of the autobiographies, experience of powerless, desire of a regular, experience of anxiety and fear, to experience joy and have hope.Conclusion:This study shows how life changes when a child in the family gets a cancer diagnosis and how it affected the parents. The study points out the importants to create a great relationship between the nurses and the family so they can have a good care..

Bakgrund: Methicillinresistent Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) är en multiresistent bakterie som är svårbehandlad och kan orsaka vårdrelaterade infektioner. Varje år drabbas miljontals patienter av vårdrelaterade infektioner och hundratals patienter avlider för att vårdpersonalen brister i sina hygienrutiner. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa hur sjuksköterskor kan förhindra spridningen av MRSA inom somatisk vård. Metod: Som metod tillämpades en litteraturöversikt som baserade på kvalitativa och kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultat: Ur analysen av datamaterialet framträdde två teman; höja kompetensen och förutse risker samt konsekvenser med sex underteman.

The present BSc thesis is part of a newly established collaboration between the Swedish zoo Skansen and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), and constitutes of an inventory of the Nairobi Animal Orphanage (AO). As a refuge for wild animals found orphaned, abandoned or injured throughout Kenya, the AO has grown over the years and reached an unsustainable point where external help is needed for solutions and improvements. The aim of the inventory is to specifically consider the husbandry and enclosures of spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta), serval (Felis serval), Sykes? monkey (Cercopithecus albogularis) and vervet monkey (Chlorocebus aethiops) and with the aid of facts about the species, estimate how well their biological needs are satisfied. Different educational elements are also reviewed since one of the main purposes of the AO is for education.

Det saknas studier hur handledarna upplever handledning på avancerad nivå inom psykiatrisk omvårdnad. Rollen handledarna har är komplex, de ska både fungera som en mentor och som den som bedömer studenternas prestationer samt ge god vård åt patienten. Syftet med denna studie är att belysa hur handledning upplevs av den handledande sjuksköterskan under Verksamhetsförlagd utbildning (VFU) för specialistsjuksköterskor i psykiatri. Att få kunskapen studien genererar skapar förutsättningar för organisationen och universitetet att anpassa utbildning och återkoppling som gynnar handledarna och studenternas utveckling samt höjer vårdkvaliteten för patienterna. En explorativ kvalitativ ansats enligt fokusgruppsintervjuer har ansetts lämplig för studien då målet är att fånga vidden och komplexiteten i handledning.

Animals can be ill and need veterinary care for many reasons. The conditions can be more or less emergent, some can even be life-threatening. When an animal is in a life-threatening condition you can save the animals life just by having the right equipment near-by and ready to be used. This literature-study help you, as an active working veterinary nurse, with which these conditions are that can show up in your emergency ward and what you should have near-by to give animals with acute life-threatening conditions the care they need. The author also looked at work tasks at the emergency ward and found out that in Sweden it is not defined who can and/or should execute them. Interviews were also done with nine of the largest small-animal hospitals in Sweden to compare the studies found with the Swedish emergency wards.

Humanity stands before a huge challenge to lower its emissions of carbon dioxide and its use of energy at the same time as the global population is rising and the developing countries are being industrialized. A lot of newly built buildings are due to this challenge, designed to be more energy efficient but also use renewable energy resources instead of pollutant fossil fuels .Solar energy is one of the purest forms of energy that exists in abundant amounts, which is why it is most likely that it could come to play a major part in the future energy market. The main purpose of this report is to investigate the possibility to implement a sustainable energy system with solar thermal heat and  heat storage as main sources of energy in the neighborhood ?kvarteret Lagern?, which is the area where the old football stadium ?Rasunda Stadion? was located. New developments within different heat storage techniques have opened up new approaches to enable buildings an all year round heat supply from solar energy. This report will focus on heat storage in boreholes. At the present here is only a preliminary plan of how the neighborhood is supposed to be designed.

Background: Triage is the sorting of patients according to the severity of medical assessment. Triage has a long history of use in Anglo-Saxon countries but is a fairly new method in Sweden. Researchers have described the Manchester triage group method (MTS) and a literature review of the concept; working contentment and competence focusing on triage. Aim: The ambition with this study was to describe a number of triage nurses working conditions. The research questions were; working with MTS- does it bring work contentment? What kind of competence is needed? Method: Data was collected from 74 triage nurses by a questionnaire containing 37 questions and two questions provided the nurses the opportunities to describe their triage experiences.

Många studier visar att det finns en skillnad mellan sjuksköterskans bedömning och patientens upplevelse av smärta och smärtbehandling. Syftet med litteraturstudien är att jämföra dessa uppfattningar. Eftersom god smärtlindring är en förutsättning för patientens psykiska såväl som fysiska välmående är det av stor vikt att sjuksköterskans bedömningar är så korrekta som möjligt. Förutom olika smärtskattningsmetoder, ex. VAS skalan är det nödvändigt att sjuksköterskor medvetandegörs om sina egna attityder, då dessa kan påverka kvalitén på omvårdnaden.

Vid dysfagi är pneumoni en vanlig komplikation som ger ökade kostnader för vården, ett ökat lidande för patienter samt leder till fler dödsfall. Omvårdnadsåtgärder som minskar risken för pneumoni är därför av betydelse att identifiera. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att i vetenskapliga artiklar identifiera omvårdnadsåtgärder sjuksköterskan kan tillämpa som minskar risken för pneumoni vid dysfagi. I tio vetenskapliga artiklar utlästes sex kategorier via databearbetning. I resultatet identifierades att vinkeln på ryggen i sittande läge var viktigt att ta hänsyn till, användningen av vätskor med låg viskositet hade en förebyggande effekt och en intervention där hakan fälldes ner mot bröstet vid sväljning skyddade mot aspiration.

Stress is common in today?s society, but the word stress has numerous connotations. The aim of this study was to investigate how dogs are effected by stress and what the veterinary nurse can do to help dogs to avoid or at least mitigate stress within the veterinary hospital. The goal was also to see how dogs perceive the environment in the veterinary hospital and what behaviours dogs demonstrate when they enter the hospital and during their stay. Studies have shown that dogs have a reluctant feeling on entering a veterinary hospital. They can feel stressed by coming to a new environment, as well as by being put in a cage with no control over what is going to happen to them.

Det föreligger ett ökat behov av placeringar inom sjuksköterskeutbildningens verksamhetsförlagda utbildning. Syftet med den här interventionsstudien är att kartlägga sjuksköterskestudenters tillfredsställelse med lärandemiljön och handledningen i två olika handledningsmodeller. Interventionsgruppen (IG) handleds i par av en handledare i en studentsal, s.k. peer learning och kontrollgruppen (KG) enligt traditionell handledningsmodell. För datainsamlingen har en validerad enkät, CLES + T (Clinical Learning Environment, Supervision and Nurse Teacher evaluation scale) använts.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vad som påverkar förmedlingen av kunskap mellan sjuksköterska och sjuksköterskestuderande i en handledningssituation. Data samlades in via tre intervjuer och analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Fyra kategorier utlästes från analysen; tid, reflektion, relation och lärandemiljö. Resultatet visade att relationen mellan handledare och studerande var viktig för att en bra dialog skulle kunna föras, vilket är grundläggande för den studerandes möjlighet att växa in i yrkesrollen. Tiden sågs som en begränsning i handledningen.
