Self-archiving as a way to provide open access to research publications is gaining ground in the area of scholarly publishing. An increasing number of research funders and universities are mandating open access for output associated with their research, which calls for evaluation of the effects of the phenomenon.This two years master?s thesis aims to investigate researchers? experiences of self-archiving. A qualitative web survey was conducted and answered by 41 researchers from several different countries, and a vast majority of the respondents concur with the principle of open access. Although self-archiving shows not to be a guarantee of increased impact for the single researcher, the study shows that might be the case.

New and more innovating storage solutions enters the market, but are they necessary to smaller companies of development active in the IT society? Questions to Answer: Is data storage a growing problem for companies of development active in the IT society? How do traditional storage solutions manage the information growth of today? How urgent is the need of a new storage solution? Which features are prioritized in the future storage solution? Method: By performing a quantitative survey we delivered an inquiry to several companies, which answers will help us answering our above mentioned questions. Conclusion: The consulted companies experience no growing problems what so ever regarding their existing storage solution..

I dagens skola är individen och dennes behov i fokus. Detta uttrycks i skolans läroplan, Lpo 94. Läroplanens intention är att undervisningen skall individanpassas utifrån varje elevs behov och förutsättningar. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur pedagoger individanpassar undervisningen. Vidare är studiens syfte att belysa pedagogers syn på individanpassad undervisning och vad det är som styr deras utformning av den.Antalet respondenter i studien har varit fyra pedagoger, som alla är verksamma i skolår 3.

The purpose of this work is to map what musical praise and worship means to different church members. What do they think of today's worship? Are there music styles or any instruments that are not suitable? What do the members think of contemporary Christian music and the regular traditional music in church? Do we need to make changes or not? How does the Christian Music affect their spiritual lives? Finally, what do the members think of what the Bible has to say about praise and worship? My method has been to interview four persons, who all are members in the Seventh-day Adventist church in Malmö. Beside literature and magazines, I have also listened to DVD sermons and searched on the Internet and in the Bible, to find out what others have to say about praise and worship.Syftet med denna studie är att kartlägga vad lovsång betyder för olika församlingsmedlemmar. Vad anser de om dagens tillbedjan? Finns det musikstilar som inte bör finnas med i gudstjänsten? Eller finns det instrument som inte är passande i gudstjänsten? Vad tycker församlingsmedlemmar om den moderna lovsången kontra den traditionella? Behöver vi göra några förändringar eller inte? Hur påverkar den kristna musiken deras andliga liv? Och till sist, vad har de för syn på Bibelns lovsång? Min metod har varit att intervjua fyra personer som alla är medlemmar i Adventkyrkan i Malmö.

Background: As the economy turns up and down, and companies sometimes face loosing employees, it is important for them to make sure they do not loose competence at the same time. Therefore a need to handle competence efficiently exist. Purpose. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate what measures companies take to minimise the risk of loosing competence from the company, at times of layoffs and in general. In the theoretical framework we discuss theories such as practical leadership, motivation and commitment, service quality and communication which are all important components for succeeding with an effective leadership according to O'Reilly et al. (2010).Methodology:                   We have conducted a qualitative study with an intensive format and a deductive approach. The empirical data were collected through six interviews in which we interviewed three managers and a member of each managers? staff within property management companies.Results:                             In our research we have reached the conclusion that all our respondent managers are working to motivate their employees and communicate with them in order to guide them towards the company goals.

The aim of our study was to investigate how much self-determination persons with intellectual disabilities living in group-homes have when it comes to recreational activities. We studied what the recreational activities looked like, if there was any self-determination concerning recreational activities and which factors influenced self-determination for persons with intellectual disabilities. We used qualitative interviews with persons with intellectual disabilities, next of kin and personnel at group-homes. The result has been analyzed from earlier research, central concepts as self-determination and recreational activities and the theory of empowerment. The most important results that emerged in our study were; that recreational activities for persons with intellectual disabilities varied substantially, that there is a large number of to recreational activities available and no one seemed directly displeased with their recreational activities.

Livskraftiga företag har en förmåga att använda sig av externa resurser för att kunna lösa sina problem där de interna resurserna inte är tillräckliga. Småföretag har inte möjlighet att ha alla resurser själva utan måste specialisera sig för att kunna bli mer konkurrenskraftiga i en ständigt ändrande omvärld.Syftet med denna undersökning är belysa vilka olika kommunikationskanaler småföretag använder sig av och vilka faktorer som påverkar valet när de söker externa resurser. Det teoretiska ramverket består av kommunikationsprocessen och kommunikationskanaler. Kommunikationskanalerna består av nätverk, internet, mässor och reklam.  Denna kvalitativa studie är utförd på småföretag inom metallbearbetningsindustrin.

The study shows the current need for security solutions concerning work with information in different areas.Investigations will show important solutions for printers? needs to meet the increasingly harder demands forfast and safe digital communications. Purpose/Aim: The purpose is to describe, analyze and compare the two communication campaigns Världens Chans and Utrota Fattigdomen Nu, and discuss how and to what extent communication campaigns in Sweden can be used to reduce global poverty. The theoretical framework is mainly based on communications strategies and other relevant aspects of the planning process of campaigns.Material/Method: Within the qualitative case study as an overall method, the main material to the two cases is obtained through five qualitative interviews with the premier representatives of the campaigns.Main results: Världens Chans can be seen as an information campaign by the government which purpose is to contribute to the fulfilment of the millennium goals by drawing the attention of the public to their existence. Utrota Fattigdomen Nu, on the other hand, is an influence campaign by the civil society which purpose is to exterminate poverty by putting a pressure on power holders and to change the attitudes and the behaviours among the public. Both campaigns are based on a network with lots of different actors, functioning as opinion makers. Furthermore, communication campaigns are important tools in the fight against poverty..

Sammanfattning Ambulanssjuksköterskan arbetar idag i stressiga, krävande miljöer och ska då fatta snabba, korrekta beslut som kan vara livsavgörande för en svårt sjuk patient. Om en individ upplever att dennes yrkessituation inte kan kontrolleras eller hanteras kan personen till slut reagera med uppgivenhet, detta är en definition av långvarig stress. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur litteraturen identifierar och beskriver upplevelser av stress hos ambulanssjuksköterskor och vilka preventiva interventioner som finns idag för att hantera ambulanssjuksköterskans stress i samband med traumatiska möten av svårt sjuka patienter.Metoden för studien var en deskriptiv litteraturstudie där artiklar hämtades via Google Scholar, Medline via PubMed och Cinahl.  Resultatet av denna studie visade att det i de flesta fall saknas en strategi för att möta den yrkesrelaterade stress som ambulanssjuksköterskor utsätts för. För att kunna upptäcka och undvika symtom på stress behövs mer preventiva interventioner och uppföljningar före eller i direkt anslutning till en kritisk händelse. Det behövs mer forskning i ämnet och fåtalet artiklar uppvisar förslag angående djupgående hjälpmedel för stresshantering och stressrelaterade sjukdomar. Slutsats Att ambulanssjuksköterskan i sitt arbete upplever stress och är tvungen att hantera den är ett faktum.

Norrköping med närmare 100 000 invånare är en av få städer i Sverige med spårväg. En utbyggnad av systemet till Navestad har länge diskuterats. En detaljplan för spårvägsutbyggnad finns, men spårvägen är ännu inte byggd. Frågan har väckts igen, där man även diskuterar en dragning vidare till Ensjön. Från kommunens sida ser man det nu inte bara som en transportfråga utan en stadsbyggnadsfråga där spårvägen utgör en viktig del i utvecklingen av staden.

Examensarbetet syftar till att utreda möjligheterna till ett nya bostäder i norra delen av Ljungby stad. Det utgörs av ett komplext och splittrat område som består av såväl bostäder, industrier, avslutade deponier med mera. Metodiken består av inventering, analys och planförlag. Inventeringen skapar grund för analysen som ska utkristallisera vilka områden som kan vara lämpliga för nya bostäder ? det vill säga planförslaget. Med ett andra ord ett traditionellt examensarbete inom ramen för programmet för Fysisk planering. Ljungby växer långsamt.

Jag har undersökt vilken matematisk kommunikation som förekommer i förskolebarnets bygglek. Jag valde metoden videoinspelning där jag observerade fem olika bygglekssituationer som jag sedan tolkade och analyserade. För att få en större förståelse kring byggmiljön ställde jag också några frågor till pedagoger som ansvarade för konstruktionsverkstaden. Resultatet visade att det konkreta materialet förstärkte översättningsledet från det barnet redan kan (första ordningens språk) till det barnet ännu inte förstår (andra ordningens språk). Pedagogerna kunde med materialets hjälp göra ett matematiskt begrepp konkretare.
