Lifestyle magazines portray women in different manners and have an influence on how media consumers create self-images. The importance of knowing how different visual representation of the female acts out in magazines with large target audiences is therefore of weight for the magazines? readers to understand. This thesis analyze how the two lifestyle magazines ELLE and LOVE portrays women in images and how they in turn create ideal images of women.The thesis has been conducted through a qualitative analysis of 5 images from each magazine that represents the magazines artistic styles. The theories used in this study are semiotic image analysis and visual text analysis viewed from a gender- and discourse perspective.The conclusion of this thesis is that ELLE portrays women as strong, happy and feminine, with at tendency towards androgyny, while LOVE describes women as inferior and sexual objects constructed for the male gaze.

The purpose of this study is to examine secondary teachers' perceptions of conflict, conflict management, conflict prevention and conflict communication. In addition to theory, I conducted individual interviews and focus group discussions. Most teachers have a common view and argues that a conflict occurs when two or more individuals do not agree on something. Typical conflicts are about grades, teachers' changing professional roles and cellphones in the classroom. In my view, it seems as if the mobile phone has taken over the core conflict that caps created for some 10 years ago, functioning now as the dominant symbol in an ongoing development process providing space for meeting and dealing with conflicts in a constructive way..

A great deal of the music in the Düben collection comes from Nothern Germany so one purpose has also been to investigate if even Strungk's sonatas have stylistic influenses from that region.

The purpose of this essay is to describe and gain an insight into three school leaders´ views on leadership in multicultural schools. The study is based on scientific articles and the survey consists of interviews with head teachers in different multicultural schools. The hermeneutic research approach has been the basis for this study through qualitative interviews and collected data for analysis.

Mitt examensarbete går ut på att ge förslag till stadsomvandling av ett industriområde i centrala Malmö, även kallat Varvsstaden. Förslaget skall framförallt fungera som underlag och inspirationskälla till exploatering av området under förutsättning att industriföretagen flyttat ut. En inventering av området har gjorts, där de befintliga och planerade förutsättningarna studerats. Tyngdpunkterna i förslaget bygger på strukturen och kopplingarna mot omgivningen, men målet är också att skapa en funktionsblandad, integrerad och attraktiv stadsdel med ett varierat utbud av bostäder, verksamheter och service. En viktig aspekt i projekteringen av området är bevarandet av den äldre bebyggelsen inom området och hur man förhåller sig mellan gammalt och nytt. Sambandet mellan emotionell intelligens och konflikthantering är ett relativt outforskat område, framför allt inom universitetsmiljö. I denna studie utreds huruvida nivån av emotionell intelligens har någon betydelse för preferens för olika konflikthanteringsstilar. Mätinstrumenten ?The Assessing Emotion Scale? och ? The Dutch Test for Conflict Handling? användes på 100 studenter för att bedöma graden av emotionell intelligens och valet av konflikthanteringsstil. Varken emotionell intelligens eller konflikthanteringsstil var med säkerhet statistiskt signifikant beroende av kön totalt sett, däremot fanns ett starkt samband mellan ?Samverkan? och ?Kompromiss? till nivå av emotionell intelligens, framför allt hos kvinnor men inte hos män.

Remote work has become increasingly widespread due to advances in digital technology and changing organizational structures, a shift initiated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to examine how leadership influences employee motivation in remote work environments. The aim is to deepen the understanding of which leadership styles are most effective in maintaining and enhancing motivation when traditional psychical interaction is absent. To investigate this, a qualitative research approach was applied, consisting of semi-structured interviews with both individuals in leadership positions and employees. The findings indicate that leadership plays a crucial role in shaping employees' motivation in remote contexts.
