Background: HIV/AIDS has existed officially for more than 35 years and is now seen as a global epidemic. The disease has claimed many victims and there is no indication showing decrease of the mortality rate. The disease is currently incurable, but antiretroviral drugs have good effect at slowing down the process. The persons who live with the disease are exposed to stigma and, sometimes, negative attitudes. The negative attitudes could affect the person?s willingness carry through the test.

Body esteem is the affective aspect of body image, which is shaped by social experience. Compared with men, women have a more negative body image, which is more frequently correlated with depression and dysfunctional thoughts, especially in the case of eating disorders. The purpose of the present study was to examine gender differences in body esteem and its subcategories, and to find out whether there exists a stronger link between negative body esteem and higher levels of dysfunctional thoughts in women. The relationship between body esteem, dysfunctional thoughts and mental illness was examined. Participants were 73 college students doing social sciences and sports training educations.

Theories about exposure and risk-taking in an everyday environment show a connection between parental strategies, parent-child relationship and exposure on the Internet. In the present study, the Internet is presented as an everyday activity. Negative exposure is seen as an outcome of risk-taking. The purpose of the study was to examine in what way parental strategies together with the parent-child relationship were related to the teenagers? negative experiences on the Internet, which consisted of three categories: 1) Exposure to pornographic sites, 2) Exposure to upsetting and violent material, 3) Digital bullying.

This thesis treats the topic of user-generated comments connected with news stories on news sites, meaning electronic word-of-mouth combined with PR. The writers have examined how different types of comments affect consumers' perception of the article and also what communication effects these comments generate in terms of attitudes, purchase intent and word-of-mouth intent. The results interesting to the news site owners, is that lots of comments and negative comments generate a negative effect by making the actual article less credible, attractive and worth reading (relative to the subsequent comments). On the positive side, serious comments imply that the news story is perceived as more interesting, than a news story followed by non-serious comments. From a brand equity perspective, the interesting results show that few comments compared to lots of comments, generate a better attitude to the brand, even though there is no difference in how positive or negative the comments are.

Introduktion/Problembakgrund: Earnings management (EM) är ett problem för både det enskilda företaget och samhället. EM innebär att företagsledningen manipulerar resultatet i syfte att vilseleda externa intressenter. Konsekvenserna av EM är ett minskat förtroende för den finansiella rapporteringen, vilket resulterar i en ineffektiv kapitalallokering. Tidigare studier i Nya Zeeland har konstaterat att sammansättningen av fastighetsportföljen påverkar benägenheten till EM. Däremot går resultatet inte att generalisera i andra länder, eftersom det finns skillnader i lagstiftningen.

AbstractThis paper is about children and stress. Stress among children is a serious problem and to be aware of that as a preschool teacher is very important. I?ve focused on the youngest childrenin preschool. I?ve searched for information in litterateur and articles.

Syfte:Att på den svenska marknaden undersöka effekten av resultatmanipulering, efter införandet av Svensk kod för bolagsstyrning. Metod:Kvantitativ datainsamling använd's för att utföra regressioner del's för beräkning av EM, del's för identifiering av signifikanta förklaringsvariabler. Informationen hämta's bland annat från årsredovisningar, SIS Ägarservice och Datastream. Studien har en deduktiv ansat's. Teoretiska perspektiv:Ett antal bolagsstyrningsteorier har behandlat's rörande agentprincipalförhållanden, institutionellt ägande samt separation av ägande och kontroll.

With this essay I have tried to give an image of some Swedish teenagers opinions about Islam. I have also done research on how the Swedish school depicts Islam and how the media in Sweden and other western countries describe Islam and Muslims. I have come to the conclusion that the media do not give a positive image of Muslims and their religion. One the contrary, Muslims are talked about in relation to negative subjects. This is an image that seems to have influenced how young people in Sweden look at Muslims.I have handed out a questionnaire at schools in Kalmar and Jönköping, Sweden.

Det är då av stor vikt att informationen är tillförlitlig, vilket i sin tur är beroende av egenskaperna hos det som mäts.År 2004 kom nya normer för hur redovisning av pensioner skulle ske. En stor förändring var att företagen, istället för Finansinspektionen, skulle ta fram många av de antaganden som behövs vid beräkningen av de förmånsbestämda pensionsplanerna. Dessa antaganden kan ha en stor påverkan på företagens finanservilket innebär en risk att de används i earnings management-syfte.Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka huruvida ett företags finansiella situation påverkar dess val av aktuariella antaganden vid beräkningen av de förmånsbestämda pensionsplanerna.De kvantitativa data som undersökningen bygger på insamlades frånårsredovisningar från 75 koncerner av ett ursprungligt urval av 272. Det material som hämtades utgjordes av aktuariella antaganden samt andra finansiella variabler som rapporterades i årsredovisningarna för år 2004 och 2005.

The purpose of this study is to examine the capital market reaction generated by layoff announcements. The study takes place in Sweden and tests 138 news concerning layoffs which are categorized according to a content analysis. They are divided as: positive or negative news. The layoffs are also divided into three subgroups with varying sizes: 0,98 percent or less, between 0,99 and 4,49 percent or 4,5 percent or larger. The study uses an event study method to measure the reaction of the capital market.

Vi befinner oss just nu i en lågkonjunktur och detta påverkar det mesta i vårt samhälle. Arbetslösheten stiger och fastighetspriserna sjunker. Företag med stora tillgångar i fastigheter värderade till verkligt värde kan tvingas till resultatsänkande nedskrivningar. Majoriteten av tillgångarna i fastighetsföretag utgörs av förvaltningsfastigheter som alltså kan bli föremål för nedskrivningar. Med hjälp av olika former av earnings management kan företagen minska eller öka effekterna av en låg- respektive högkonjunktur.
