Castration of dogs holds many reasons and opinions, therefore methods, traditions and rea-sons vary. The approaches have during time changed from mostly surgical castrations to also including hormonal treatments. Castration is used to control the dog's reproductive abilities, for medical reasons and to possibly rectify problems of behavioral nature. How common a particular method of castration is in a country is highly dependent on the country's traditions. In Sweden it is most common with castration for medical reasons, such as possible elimina-tion of diseases, for example, benign colorectal tumors.

This study concerns a selection of prehistoric metal objects of animalistic design, published at the internet site of the Swedish Statens Historiska Museum. It seeks to give an impression of the design elements used, and to find likely models for the motifs among live animals. The method used is a qualitative hermenuetic comparative study of objects, where the distinct significant design elements are being identified and interpretated. Several significant design elements are identified, and some are interpretated as representing certain animals. The amalgamation of differentiating design elements in some objects however, leads to interpretations of compound animal motifs, where some motifs are considered ambiguous and some are rendered uninterpretated.

Vårt syfte med studien var att undersöka vad medarbetare i offentlig verksamhet, i vårt fall enpolismyndighet, anser vara viktiga kompetenser att ta hänsyn till vid en individuelllönesättning. Syftet har också varit att undersöka vad medarbetarna upplever som rättvis lön samt att analysera deras upplevelser och attityder kring individuell lön ur ettorganisationskulturperspektiv.Vår undersökning har gjorts genom att intervjua tolv medarbetare inom polismyndigheten iVästra Götaland. Vi har intervjuat medarbetare i tre olika funktioner för att få ett så brettspektrum av åsikter som möjligt. Dessa tre funktioner har varit poliser i yttre tjänst, utredareoch chefer. Empirin har vi analyserat efter teorier om kompetens, rättvisa och organisationskultur.Resultatet av undersökningen visar att de kompetenser som anses viktiga att ta hänsyn till vid individuell lönesättning är arbetskrav, prestationer och personliga egenskaper.

AbstractThe aim of my study has been to investigate which expectations students at The Hotel and Restaurant Programme have for their futue working life and labour market. I want to investigate if these expectations are important factors that female dominance is large within the meal service sector. I have chosen to do qualitative interviews to discover these expectations.Some explanations that the respondent give for the gender differences within the restaurant and meal service sectors are the old tradition of male and female work. Furthermore the possibility of becoming well known within the market and the possibility for personal development in this market are described as important factors.The answers to my questions show that all respondents are positive to future work markets; also they all want to work within the restaurant sector and not in the meal service sector. Media spelar stor roll i vårt samhälle. TV är det massmedium vi använder i störst utsträckning. 90 procent av barnen som är mellan nio och fjorton år ser på TV dagligen. Det är inom denna åldersgrupp (närmare bestämt 11-12-åringar) vi valt att göra vår undersökning. Undersökningen berör frågor som vilka TV-program barnen ser på och om barnen kommer i kontakt med dokusåpor? Emerging infectious diseases are a recurring threat to both human and animal health. Understanding the multiple causes behind the emergence of new diseases is key to the prevention of new and potentially devastating outbreaks. The list of underlying causes is long, including a variety of anthropogenic, environmental, molecular and climatic changes that promote the emergence and spread of disease. Two of these factors are central to the emergence of new diseases and receive special attention in this study. The spread of disease from wildlife to livestock and diseases that spread from animals to humans (zoonoses) are of importance as they implicated in the majority of EID events.

The purpose of this report is to analyze the advantages of using programme software to monitor masshauling instead of using the conventional method. A comparsion between different programs will also be conducted in an attempt to determine the most affordable. This report is written for NCC Construction AB to help them choose a software most fitting for future projects.The report is based upon literature such as information taken from the developers website, existing reports with similar context, interviews with sellers of the software and interviews with people working in the building sector.The result of this report shows that there are several advantages with investing in a software that helps the management of a project and that it is something that should be taken under consideration instead of the existing method. Topcon is a clear favorite following the inquiries comparisons as done, when they deliver a complete system and not only a supplement to the current approach. Scanlaser are just in the beginning of its development, and is so far only out with an early version of the software, while Topcon has been brought further in development and therefore has more features in the program.
