The aim of this study was to create an understanding of how a group of community policing officers engagement are shaped. Previous research argues that there is a police culture which conveys cynicism to the individual police. The research also says that the police adopt a pessimistic view of society, they are isolated and at odds with the rest of society. Furthermore, research has also shown how a narrative can exist that explains the police way of doing things. My contribution to the field is to explore how a narrative can be located, which precedes and shapes the police engagement.

Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte var att unders?ka vuxnas konsumtion av mejeriprodukter och likv?rdiga v?xtbaserade alternativ i Sverige. M?let var att unders?ka om det fanns signifikanta skillnader i konsumtionsvanor mellan tre olika kosth?llningar, vegan, vegetarian och all?tare, samt mellan faktorer som ?ldersgrupp, k?n, utbildningsgrad och boendeform. Metod: F?r att samla in empiri anv?ndes en enk?tunders?kning som distribuerades utifr?n ett bekv?mlighetsurval via sociala medieplattformar. Chi-tv? tester anv?ndes f?r att s?kerst?lla signifikanta skillnader i respondenternas svar (n=193). Resultat: P? grund av f? svar fr?n respondenter med vegansk och vegetarisk kosth?llning skapades ett bortfall.

Uppsatsens syfte var att få en bild av föreställningar, beskrivningar och reflektioner kring begreppet skam. Studien är uppbyggd kring en fokusgrupp bestående av fem professionella socialarbetare i Stor- Stockholm. Som gruppintervju ger fokusgrupp en bredare skala av idéer än i en individuell intervju då beskrivningarna av begreppet växer fram genom en mellanmänsklig dynamik. De yttre ramarna för fokusgruppen var att diskussionen skulle beröra relevans för det sociala arbetet, uttryck för skam, kön, och kulturella aspekter. Definitioner inom psykologin, socialt arbete, socialpsykologin och en funktionalistisk distinktion mellan skam och skuld har använts.

The customers have high demands on their suppliers and the highcustomer demand make it necessary for the companies to make a streamlining in planningand production. For that reason it is very important that the planning- and productionprocesses aren?t to complex and with a simple structure.The purpose of this report is to study and map out a marked out part of a planning- andproduction process, from adjust works to final delivery, at a company in the sawmill industry.Different methods have been used for the report, among others interviews and subordinatedmaterial.We have mapped out a marked out part of the planning- and production process at theCompany. This part we have studied, and we have analysed the process it self and otherthings connected to the process.We see the planning- and production process in the Company as complex.

National identity, multiculturalism and invisible norms are three conceptions focused on in this essay. They are discussed and analysed with the purpose of deepening deepen the understanding of their meaning. Further on they become instruments in a study of the Liberal Party's proposal for new politics of integration. My ambition is to distinguish signs of a Swedish national identity in this proposal and to interpret the party's relation to multiculturalism.The method of this essay comprises partly a literature study and partly a qualitative analysis of text.My discussion and analysis ended in an understanding of national identity and multiculturalism as complex and interrelated conceptions. I found parts of a Swedish national identity in the value of working, in the fear of the cultural unknown and of eventual anti Swedish culture, in the idea of Sweden as the best country in the world considering gender equality and in the strong defence for the Swedish language.

Men vilka avtryck har epidemin gjort på det demokratiska samhället, och på en av demokratins viktigaste byggstenar, det civila samhället?Då över 30% av den vuxna befolkningen i Botswana bär på viruset borde den tid som tidigare lagts på det civila samhället numera läggas på att leva med och överleva sjukdomen, varför det civila samhället i Botswana bör ha försvagats i takt med att HIV/aids spridit sig. Uppsatsen jämför beskrivningar av Botswanas civila samhälle från två olika tidpunkter, före och under HIV/aids var en nationell epidemi.

This study also investigates how the introduction of the first women?s division in the UFC might have affected the depiction women?s MMA in media.The theoretical framework consists of gender theory concepts such as gender performativity, the man as norm, sports and masculinity.

The aim of this work is to understand the recruitment of candidates to the local representative assembly in the municipality of Täby. The method used is qualitative interviewing, of a total of eight local politicians in Täby. The theory in which this work rest upon is based on a new-institutionalist perspective. Of great importance is the thoughts of the politicians involved in the recrution process, what do they think were the reasons that controlled the order of priority in the party list among the pool of candidates? Were there any obstacles for minorities in the politics like for example foreigners, women or young people? The study is taking it?s departure from the politicians who candidated in the election of 2002-2006 and the ones which are candidating to the election this coming autumn.In conclusion the aim is to understand the reasons that gives some of the candidates electable places to the assembly, and what the actors themselves think are the conclusive qualities that matters the most.

Mot bakgrund av problemet varför säkerhetspolitiska ambitioner inte alltid kan omsättas i militäreffekt eller förmåga är syftet att förklara varför Sverige trots större resurser och tydliga politiskaprioriteringar verkar ha sämre förmåga än Finland att genomföra fredsfrämjande insatser.Insatsförmåga definieras som förmåga att på ett flexibelt sätt genomföra olika verksamheter ellerlösa olika uppgifter. Svenska och finska förband i Kosovo jämförs med hjälp av sju kriterier, ochförmågan hos förbanden antas delvis spegla nationell insatsförmåga. De viktigaste slutsatserna äratt de undersökta förbanden har likvärdig förmåga, men att den svenska kontingenten haft högrepersonalkostnader samt högre kostnader för hyror, varor och tjänster. Vidare anges att de svenskametoderna för rekrytering och utbildning är något mer komplicerade och därmed merkostnadsdrivande än motsvarande finska. Slutligen framhålls svårigheterna med att dralångtgående slutsatser enbart grundade på jämförelser av personalstyrka och kostnad..
