This Master thesis aims to study the relation between Swedish governmental cultural policy and cultural events at two Swedish public libraries. The Masters thesis demonstrates how national cultural policy regulates every part of the public library. This demonstration is a result based upon national cultural policy documents and interviews with employees at two public libraries in Sweden. The conclusion that national cultural policy regulates this part of the public library is drawn with help of the circle of culture as applied in Culture Studies and Michel Foucault theories of power. The thesis contains the answer of four questions, two involving cultural policy and the other two events at the library.

The theme of this essay is literacy training in pre-school. The theme takes it starting point in a project, where my colleagues and I noticed our children playing with writing and symbols. It leads to an exciting, reflecting and developing project, a project that will go on for six months together with twenty children in the age of five and six.The essay describes how I and the rest of the staff work with the project, and also how we try to find challenges that are meaningful for our children. When we worked with the project I ended up in a dilemma how I as a teacher was to retain the children?s joy and curiosity for writing without making it boring.

Visitor Centers were first established at various national parks in North America. Most Visitor Centers were built in the ten-year period following 1952. The purpose of the Visitor Centers was to welcome visitors and enhance their experience of the national parks. Today there are Visitor Centers all around the world, connected to different places or attractions. Many of the Visitor Centers that exist today, especially those in the national parks in North America, were built during the information society.

Mergers between companies has become more and more common in Sweden and in the rest of the world with the motive to increase the competitive strength in the current markets and has an important role within organisational development of companies. When organisations merger there is not only buildings and objects that are put together but also their individual organisational structures, people, values and cultures. This can be a difficult process and can affect many people in how they think conscious as well as unconscious, feel and react.The purpose of this thesis is to gain a deeper understanding of how employees are affected following a merger when changes in the organisational culture come up, and how these changes are expressed.This thesis is delimited to investigate only one company, Skruf Snus AB and only focus on their business and employees in the region of Stockholm. The thesis contains a qualitative investigation with semi structured interviews that has been carried out with eight employees at Skruf Snus AB. The thesis is partly based on a model of Schein which describes the different levels in organisational culture and partly on some theories about reactions to change in relation to the integration between the employees following a merger.The results of the investigation indicate that with a merger the whole organisational culture is affected and therefore also the employees.

Survey's purpose is to illustrate why and how the process happened when Piteå relocated its commercial port away from Skuthamn to the new construction on Haraholmen 1950-1973. How decision-makers worked to achieve their goals, how the work changed and what incentives motivated them to act. The results showed that the decision was taken not to retain the existing commercial port in large part due to Skuthamns physics attributes, which made it impossible to ship large deep vessels from there. The reason that the decision about the port took such a long time was due to a local political conflict which was based on interest in the ownership of Haraholmen. The reason for the location of the trading port became Haraholmen had political backgrounds.

Barns behov i centrum (BBIC) har implementerats i den svenska barnavården. Kritik har tidigare riktats mot barnavårdsutredningar som varierade i handläggning och dokumentation i hela landet. BBIC ska bidra till ökad rättsäkerhet genom att skapa nationell enhetlighet i ärenden. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur BBIC materialet används i praktiken, vilka behovsområden som socialsekreterare väljer att använda vid utredningar gällande barn. Materialet ska involvera barn och föräldrar, i vilken utsträckning förekommer det? Bidrar materialet till ökad rättssäkerhet inom barnavården i Sverige? Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ samt kvantitativ studie, där vi har granskat tio barnavårdsutredningar med liknande insatser enligt 4 kap.

Swedish Armed Forces are according to their development planning process taking actions to establish a new joint unit (SWEWOSE), with electronic warfare capability. SWEWOSÉ S main task will be designated to produce electronic warfare libraries for electronic warfare systems within the armed forces. The unit shall have capability to support with libraries in any state of conflict situation even if the supported unit with library needs conducting operations abroad.This essay examines the requirements that justify the establishment of a new unit in times when the armed forces conducting reorganizations and cutbacks in both economy and personnel.The possibilities to buy complete system solutions from an external supplier are examined. But also what kind of library support model that is to prefer according to the demands that the Swedish Armed Forces desired, in terms of capability in platform protection and battle space awareness.The results show that the demands that the Swedish Armed Forces has decided, best will be ful-filled and justified by a national electronic warfare unit, with library production as a main task..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva hur kommunikation och ledarskap formas i ett internationellt projekt.För att beskriva hur kommunikation och ledarskap formas i ett internationellt projekt har vi använt en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod. Vi har även använt oss den hermeneutiska tolkningen för att kunna belysa och jämföra våra respondenters syn på kommunikation och ledarskap. Vår studie har visat att nationell kultur har en stor påverkan på både kommunikation och ledarskap i ett internationellt projekt som kännetecknas av komplexitet och risker för missförståelse. Detta beror på att de personliga värderingarna skiljer sig åt mellan olika nationella kulturer. Språkbarriär, olika arbetssätt och arbetsmetoder, i det flesta fall är det kulturella skillnader som medför svårigheter i under projektets gång.

This thesis concerns five Gotland Bronze Age cairns. They have been analyzed in order to compare their inner and outer burial - and building context. The analysis then forms the basis for the discussion of the similarities and differences observed. These five cairns along with the cairn Uggarderojr are presented in detail and compared. Major similarities were found between four of the five cairns.

In Sweden, detailed development plans (DDPs) go through a screening process to decide whether their implementation could cause significant environmental impact or not. The criteria in the legislation were studied to see if an environmental impact assessment was needed. This study also investigated 26 DDPs from 12 out of 13 of the municipalities in Östergötland and how they meet up to the demands in relevant legislation, for example the rules for Environmental Impact Assessments. Plans that concerned suburban communities and new housing were selected. The environmental issues highlighted in the plan documents were compared to selected topics from the GIS data base 'Östgötakartan' to see if the assessments made by the municipalities were reasonable judged.

I dagens samhälle söker sig människor till upplevelser samtidigt som resande i ett globalt perspektiv ökar. För att konkurrera på den globala marknaden och för att följa utvecklingen så har en nationell strategi för svensk besöksnäring tagits fram. Strategin kallas Vision2020 och fokuserar på destinationsutveckling samt utveckling av exportmogna produkter för att öka Sveriges attraktionskraft och få fler resenärer att besöka Sverige. Denna studie fokuserar på hur kreativitet kan användas för att skapa mer innovativa produkter. Syftet är att undersöka hur ett innovationsverktyg kan utformas utifrån kreativitetsteori och empiri för produktutveckling åt småföretag inom besöksnäringen i Swedish Lapland.

Föräldrars delaktighet i omvårdnaden av barn på sjukhus har inte alltid varit självklar. Först efter andra världskriget började barns behov av föräldrar på sjukhus belysas av forskare inom psykologi samt omvårdnad. Trots fortsatt utveckling av föräldrars delaktighet inom barnsjukvården återfinns fortfarande brister inom området. Syftet med litteraturöversikten var att belysa föräldrars upplevelse av delaktighet i omvårdnaden av sitt barn på sjukhus. Resultatet visar föräldrars upplevelse av delaktighet i omvårdnad av barn på sjukhus utifrån tolv vetenskapliga artiklar.

Omfattningen av forskning gällande ungdomars tillit och identitet är något sparsam. Denna undersökning är en kartläggning av hur ungdomar i två områden i Göteborgsregionen skiljer sig åt i dessa avseenden. Som basis för undersökningen utförs intervjuer med fokusgrupper från högstadieskolor. Frågorna gäller gruppers kollektiva identitetskänsla och grad av tillit till samhället i stort. För att genomföra kartläggningen utgår man från tidigare forskningsrön på området och fördjupar sig i innebörden av begreppen identitet och tillit, vilket sedan sätts i relation till den eget utförda undersökningen.
