Resin-top disease is a rust fungi that occurs both as a host alternating form, Cronartium flaccidum G. Winter., and as a non-host alternating form, Peridermium pini Pers. The host alternating form can use a variety of hosts but the most commonly used species in the boreal forest is Melampyrum sylvaticum. In Scandinavia the Resin-top disease infect Scots pine, Pinus sylvestris L. The fungus infects the needles through the stomata and then grows through the branch to the stem where it strangulates the vessels transporting water and nutrition to the treetop, which kills the top.

This Master?s thesis has governmental cultural policy in focus and concludes a textual idea analysis of the governmental bill Time for culture. (Tid för kultur.) The aim of the study is to examine how the government is seeking legitimacy concerning the cultural policy. One of the starting points is that the society has changed over time in terms of for example increased globalization and multicultural and even the market adjustment is more evident. Also the economical basis in the society is different nowadays.

The Working Hours Act regulates the working time conditions and together with the Working Time Directive of EU both acts aim to protect the workers. However, with The Swedish Model it is possible to diverge from the law-regulations by collective agreement by the parts of the Swedish labor market. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the national and international law regulations and further on study a few selected Swedish central collective agreements to discover in which extension deviation from the law occur. The sections of the Working Hours Act?s that has been investigated is ordinary working time, daily rest, weekly rest periods, breaks and maximum weekly working time.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to study the discourses on culture as developed by EU Commission. The method applied is a discoursebased historical analysis, where analysis of arguments and metaphors are functional to the enlightening of the construction of discourses within EU cultural policy. EU official documents constitute the empirical material studied. The theoretical framework of the thesis draws upon cultural public sphere theory as well instrumentalist cultural policy research.

Mini-Maria Nordost är en av fyra öppenvårdsmottagningar i Göteborg för unga som har bekymmer med alkohol och eller droger. Verksamheten vänder sig till ungdomar upp till 21 år och även till deras anhöriga. Syftet med min uppsats är att undersöka hur föräldrar upplever mötet med mottagningen och samtal som metod. Jag har gjort en kvalitativ studie där sex mammor har intervjuats, fyra med utländsk bakgrund och två med svensk bakgrund. Frågeställningarna handlar om i vilken mån man upplever samtal som metod som meningsfull och hur erfarenhet av att växa upp i en annan familjekultur än den svenska påverkar hur man hanterar bekymmer med tonårsbarns drogmissbruk.

Swedish municipals schools have been given an assignment to convey basic values to pupils. The assignment is to bring up the pupils through transmitting and developing a heritage such as values, traditions, language and knowledge. Together along with the lasting knowledge which constitutes the community frame of reference everybody needs. There by is the purpose of this study through a qualitative method to investigate how the schools assignment to create a community national identity of the pupils is interpreted by the teachers in introduction classes. Even how the teachers in this study response to ?Swedish? culture by presenting and educate the pupils in this.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att skapa djupare förståelse för vilka skillnader som finns mellan finsk och svensk organisationskultur. Den avser att belysa utmaningar för en gemensam organisationskultur. Ytterligare ett syfte är att ge en teoretisk grund för vår magisteruppsats. Den kommer att utgöra en studie av organisationskulturen på ett finsk-svenskt företag med utgångspunkt i de nationella skillnaderna.  För att undersöka finsk och svensk kultur har vi utgått från tvärkulturellisten Geert Hofstedes (1980) modell om hur det med hjälp av fem dimensioner går att skilja nationella kulturer åt. Vi har likaså använt generella teorier om organisationskultur, samt litteratur om Finlands respektive Sveriges kultur.

Conclusions: A myriad of interpretations are possible when studying and discussing a particular organizational culture. As culture can not be removed from its context, we illuminate the effects that the internationalization process has with regards to unifying the organizational culture in our particular setting studied. Maintaining however, that a reflexive look at this culture shows no single interpretation as being sufficient, we try to expose its richness and ambiguities through a three perspective approach..

Abstract Denna studie handlar om att lyfta fram elevers intresse och uppfattning inom skönlitteratur. Studien syftar på att ta fram vad det är som gör läsningen intressant. Hur pojkar och flickor uppfattar litteraturen och vilka böcker de föredrar samt hur klassföreståndaren och bibliotekarien motiverar eleverna till att läsa. Samtliga av flickorna och pojkarna har fyllt i en enkät om läsintresse och hur mycket tid som läggs på fritidsläsningen. Flickorna och pojkarna har intervjuats liksom klassföreståndaren och bibliotekarien.

Analyses of pollen and charcoal in peat cores, together with age-structure data of Pinus sylvestris from a Ledum-Pinus-mire in the Tyresta National Park (south-east Sweden) show the regional vegetation succession and fire history over the last 9000 years. Introduktion: Sverige är ett mångkulturellt samhälle och invandringen frånutomeuropiska länder har ökat de senaste decennierna. Fler kvinnor med annan kulturellbakgrund genomgår en graviditet och förlossning i Sverige än tidigare. Detta innebär attbarnmorskor möter kvinnor med annan uppfattning av graviditet och förlossning inommödravården. Mödravården fyller en viktig funktion för kvinnor i det förebyggandetarbetet under graviditeten. Många studier inom området fokuserar främst på kvinnormed annan kulturell bakgrund och deras upplevelser inom hälso- och sjukvården.

The Swedish emigrants, in 1901-1904, were displeased with their home country, so they moved to America with hope to find a better life. Even though they were displeased they still had a great love for their home country and tried to either create a ?new Sweden? (the Swedish-Americans), or they traveled back to their families, hopefully with savings big enough to buy their own home. Sweden did not have a homestead act like the Americans did, which probably is the biggest reason to the emigration. There was also the question of each individual?s right to vote.

THE ROLE OF TARGET GROUPS IN FEEDBACK EFFECTSBrand extension is one of the most commonly used brand strategies since it reduces some of the risks involved in introducing a completely new brand. There are, however, several challenges associated with brand extensions. One of these challenges is the impact of a new brand extension on the parent brand image, which is known as feedback effect. Feedback effects are the changes in parent brand associations that are caused by a new brand extension, these effects can be both negative and positive. Several previous studies have investigated feedback effects and the antecedents of these effects.

Skolan som spelplats för kultur- och identitetspolitik står i fokus för denna uppsats. En utgångspunkt är att den politik som styr skolan även har inverkan på, och är en produkt av, de diskurser som råder i samhället när det gäller dessa frågor. Min undersökning är baserad på situationen i Guatemala. Där finns sedan 2005 en nationell politisk strategi kring detta, uttryckt i styrdokumentet "Interkulturell tvåspråkig utbildning", som har varit material för den kritiska diskursanalys jag här genomför. Uppsatsen innehåller även en jämförelse med lärares tankar kring detta på plats i Guatemala, baserat på vistelse och materialinsamling där.

Noise in schools can have negative effect on the teaching environment and speech perception. The national Child Environmental Health Surveys (BMHE) conducted in 2003 and 2011 studied how 12-year olds experience their sound environment in school. Results showed that the number of pupils that experience annoyance from noise increased from 2003 to 2011.Aim: The aim of this study was to study how 12-year olds perceive their sound environment in school.Methodology and material: A quantitative questionnaire survey was conducted in the sixth grade at two schools. The questionnaire used included questions from BMHE and self-produced questions. Sixtynine students answered the questionnaire.Results: Over 50 % of the respondents experience annoyance from noise in school several times a week.
