This essay examines the criteria for a peaceful cemetery. First there is a short history of the Swedish funeral place. After that follows the definitions of a peaceful place according to environmental psychology. From these definitions an analysis method is constructed for identifying a peaceful cemetery. The analysis method contains six criteria, shape of the entrances, existence of sound, vegetation character, the cemetery?s demarcation, the cemetery?s management and what feeling the cemetery mediates.The analysis method is put into practice on three cemeteries, Överklinten cemetery, Stockholm forest cemetery and the old cemetery in Malmö.

This research is about different perspectives, offered by three mother tongue teachers, one principal and also featuring a representative from Skolverket, on the subject: teacher legitimation for mother tongue teachers, mother tongue teachers opportunity for competence education and the future of mother tongue education in Sweden.The theoretical framework is mother tongue language, globalization, the post-colonial theory, power and social inequality. A qualitative approach was used including five interviews taken place in Stockholm, the results does not however represent the whole country nor the community of Stockholm itself.The result shows that mother tongue teachers thinks the teacher legitimation does not mean anything regarding their already low-status. Even principal and representative from Skolverket express their concern towards the 'non-demand' for mother tongue teachers to get their legitimation and they feel there is a lack of ambition from decisonmakers to include the mother tongue teachers.As per today there is no higher education for mother tongue teachers leading towards an exam. Mother tongue teachers are worried about their future although principal and representant takes a bright outlook. .

Sedan Sverigedemokraternas inträde i den politiska debatten har det diskuterats hur medierna ska bemöta partiet. I ett brev från Jimmie Åkesson till chefredaktörer runt om i landet i samband med valet 2010 vädjade han att Sverigedemokraterna skulle bli behandlat som övriga partier. Samma år kom partiet in i riksdagen och har sedan dess fått ett allt starkare väljarstöd i främst Skåneregionen samtidigt som stödet varit svagt i framförallt Stockholm, Västerbotten och Gotland. Syftet med den här studien var att undersöka hur tidningarna gestaltade och rapporterade om Sverigedemokraterna fyra månader före valet 2014 i regionerna där partiet fick högst respektive lägst väljarstöd i samma val. Vi har gjort en kvantitativ innehållsanalys baserat på 464 artiklar från tio tidningar. Vi har analyserat fem tidningar från Skåneregionen och fem tidningar från Stockholm, Västerbotten och Gotland.

Concept - detail - buildingStockholm International Fairs, new main entrance I studied at the KTH School of Architecture from 1995 to 2000. After completing my studies I wanted to work in an office that had a structural way of thinking and that knew the building process; I therefore chose to work for Rosenberg Architects. I have worked on a number of projects, among them several for the Stockholm International Fairs, from the Rica Talk Hotel and Hall AE, to the new main entrance.In the projects we undertook at the School of Architecture we had to identify and draw details that were central to our concepts. I have here identified some key details that we considered to be essential for the concept in a built project; the new main entrance of the Stockholm International Fairs completed in 2013. The entrance has complex logistics with multiple intersecting flows: exhibitors, employees, journalists, VIPs and others.

Av de ickefossila drivmedlen är el något som ofta benämns som en permanent och realistisk framtida lösning. Visionen ?Stockholm ? Elbilsstad 2030? drivs av Stockholms Stad i samarbete med Fortum AB i syfte att ersätta den fossilbränsleslukande fordonsflottan.I den här studien undersöks de tekniska förutsättningarna och de eventuella vinsterna av ett storskaligt införande av elbilar. Studien har gjorts genom en modellering där parametrar som elbilens prestanda, elpris, bilens inköpspris och totala utsläpp använts.

This thesis aims to investigate the voting premium for companies differentiating voting rights between share classes on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. The voting premium represents the value of a vote attached to the share. The voting premium can be estimated from the price premium between two listed share classes with differentiated voting rights. Rydqvist's dissertation (1987) serves as a model for this study which investigates whether the theory of the so called "oceanic games", along with a proxy variable for cost of control, can predict the voting premium during 2010-2012. To the original model developed by Rydqvist, control variables for differences in liquidity between share classes are added to investigate for an increase in the explanatory power.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate how seven homosexual men in the age between 18 and 26 years experience openness with their sexuality in Stockholm. We wish to investigate how these men experience and handle their everyday life in a community characterized by a heteronormative foundation. We will focus on how they handle their openness in an urban environment and if they experience any limitations dependent on the situation or surroundings they live in, and also how they handle these situations. The study is hermeneutically inspired where seven life story interviews are analyzed within the theoretical frameworks provided by Connell, Goffman, Foucault and Queer theory.The results show that the respondents? openness varies depending on a variety of factors where surroundings, situations and previous experiences are influential.

Uppsatsens syfte är att analysera de konsekvenser som bilanvändningen medför idag, med koncentration på Stockholms innerstad. Frågeställningarna behandlar problematiken i planeringen, vilka möjligheter det finns och vilka åtgärder som planeras och genomförs idag för miljövänligare bilanvändning. Uppsatsens underlag har utgångspunkten i forskning och olika planeringsarbeten samt en kvalitativ studie. Intervjuer har genomförts med Stadsbyggnadskontoret, Naturvårdsverket, Trivector Traffic och Miljöförvaltningen. Materialet härstammar från Sverige, England, Australien, USA, Canada och Lettland samt SCAFT och flera statliga verk.

I denna rapport används multipel linjär regressionsanalys för att analyserahur ett antal variabler påverkar bostadsrättspriser i stor-Stockholm. Modellerframställs för Innerstaden, Västerort och Söderort separat. Dessa modellervar baserade på data som hämtats från Fastighetsbyrån och kompletterasmed avstånd hämtade från Google Maps. Datamaterialet består av försäljningarav bostadsrätter i november år 2011 och 2012. För varje enskild variabeltestas validiteten och variablernas inverkan på slutpriset diskuteras.Det konstrueras dels regressionsmodeller som är additiva och även sådanasom betraktar procentuella förändringar.

The amount of cargo has since the 1970s increased in Sweden and the road traffic accounts for a large part of the transported volume. In Stockholm County the amount of cargo is calculated to be doubled in size from year 2001 to 2020 which means a greater need for transport is required. Much of these transports are being carried out by haulage companies of varying sizes which acts externally as carriers for their customers. All of this despite a greater awareness, laws and demands regarding environmental performance.The trend shows that the haulage industry in Sweden are moving towards fewer but larger haulage companies, which means that the competition is getting tougher for the smaller haulage companies. Smaller haulage companies and research about their competitive strategies is a neglected part of this industry.

Vårt syfte är att undersöka om och hur budgetens roll skiljer sig åt mellan en offentlig och en privat hälso- och sjukvårdsorganisationer. Vi har baserat vår uppsats och våra slutsatser på intervjuer, som vi gjort på Blekingesjukhuset i Karlskrona och S:t Görans sjukhus i Stockholm. Vi har gjort intervjuer på fyra till fem olika nivåer i båda organisationerna, för att få ett djup i vår undersökning. Vi har kommit fram till att det finns stora skillnader mellan det offentliga sjukhuset och det privata sjukhuset. Den största skillnaden fann vi vara budgetuppföljningen, men att det inte finns någon större skillnad mellan sjukhusen på lägre nivå, däremot på högre nivåer kan vi urskilja relativt stora skillnader.

The purpose of the study is to investigate how board structure influences CEO compensation for companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 2004. The theoretical frame of reference is based upon the corporate governance theory, the principal-agent theory and previous empirical research in the area. A cross sectional regression analysis is used, where a number of control variables are included and significance tests are conducted. The study is based on information regarding CEO compensation, and possible factors affecting the compensation, from 267 companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange A- and O-list in the year 2004. We find that the board structure has no significant effect on the CEO compensation.

When traffic in large cities increases, it becomes more vulnerable to disturbances such as accidents, stalled vehicles or construction; therefore, traffic jams are more likely to occur. For better control of the traffic at a disturbance the Swedish National Road Administration (SNRA) has traffic equipment which can be controlled from a command centre. This traffic equipment consists of gates and signs with variable messages. This report will discuss the system used for traffic control in Stockholm. It will present proposals designed to improve it.

This study examines the work of art in the underground station Kungsträdgården in Stockholm and discusses the observers interpretation of the art in the station. When the artist Ulrik Samuelson got his commission to shape the station he was influenced by Marcel Duchamp and the concept art. Two themes were integrated in the work of art, the actual culture life and the palace called Makalös, which was situated just above the currant station, three hundred years ago. The station was built in two stages.The first part was opened in 1977 and the second part in 1987. Panofsky´s iconographic working method has been used in this essay.

Socialtjänsten har organiserats utifrån en 65-årsgräns vilket innebär att alla människor som är över 65 år och som är i behov av samhällets sociala omsorg tillhör äldreomsorgen. Syftet med vår uppsats är att öka kunskapen om biståndshandläggning inom äldreomsorgen i Stockholm för personer som har psykisk funktionsnedsättning. Vi har intervjuat tio biståndshandläggare i Stockholm, metoden hade en induktiv ansats. Vi gjorde en perspektivanalys och använde oss av begreppen handlingsutrymme, normalitet och ålderism.Vårt resultat stödjer den bild som forskningen visar, biståndshandläggningen är en normativ praktik som utgår från en schablonartad och stereotyp bild av den äldre och äldres behov. Äldre med psykisk funktionsnedsättning blir inom biståndshandläggningen en avvikelse som därmed inte passar in i mallen. De äldre med psykiska funktionsnedsättningar kommer inte i kontakt med de insatser som yngre i samma situation har tillgång till.
