Under senare år har den privata och offentliga sektorn blivit allt mer intresserad av att investera i museum och science centres för att öka kunskap kring vetenskap hos allmänheten (Heath & vom Lehn, 2008). Den här uppsatsen handlar om kamerans och mobiltelefonens användning vid besök på ett museum och science centre. Syftet med denna studie, som en del i ett större forskningsprojekt var att kartlägga hur unga människors teknikanvändning ser ut under ett besök på ett science centre. Studiens två frågeställningar var: Hur används video och foto i samband med besök på Universeum av unga människor? Vilken roll har denna användning under och efter besöket för unga människor? Undersökningsgruppen för studien var barn och skolungdomar i åldrarna 6-19 år.Studien har använt sig av ansatsen Grounded theory med ett etnografiskt forskningsperspektiv, där observation, enkäter och innehållsanalys på befintligt videomaterial från YouTube (www.youtube.com) har gjorts.

Hur hanterar vi gamla industrilokaler där industrierna gått ur tiden men byggnadsstrukturerna finns kvar? Projektet utforskar arkitektoniska strategier där enkla tygstrukturer ger stor rumslig effekt - mellanrummet mellan nytt och gammalt undersöks. Denna studie är en beskrivning av ett pedagogiskt utvecklingsarbete kring det samiska informationsprojekt vilket jag varit ansvarig för inom ramen för mitt arbete som museilärare på Skansens Visningsavdelning. Projektet omfattade tiden 2004-2006. Aktionsforskning handlar om att utveckla och förändra en verksamhet men också att skaffa sig kunskap om hur detta går till och vad som sker under arbetets gång. Det viktigast verktyget inom aktionsforskningen är reflektionen. Jag har reflekterat över vad som kännetecknar mitt museipedagogiska synsätt och utifrån detta studerat övriga synsätt i projektet och deras relation till varandra.

The Gift 2.0 - A Museological Study of donations of Objects and its Underlying Motives, is a study in order to explain why people choose to donate items for museums, rather than any other alternative.The empirical study consists of qualitative, semi-structured research-interviews conducted with seven selected curators from various museums, with extensive experience of the subject acquisition. I have chosen to only examine Swedish cultural-historical museums. The hypothesis that I assumed was first and foremost that the heritage sphere is what Pierre Bourdieu calls a field. The reason that people would donate objects to museums, is that the donation itself brings cultural capital to the donor, from people with the same habitus. Since I felt that Bourdieus theory of field, capital and habitus could not explain all the reason why people donate items to museum, my second hypotheses was that certain objects are what Annette Weiner called inalienable possessions, objects that at any cost may not be sold or bartered away.

In the collections of the Vasa Museum, 100 leather objects have exhibited salt precipitations. The objects, that have previously been impregnated with PEG, have become deteriorated and fragmented due to the precipitations. During a previously conducted study it was established that the precipitations consisted of iron and sulphur. However, it was not established whether they occurred in the leather?s inner structure and no treatment plan was developed.

This examination paper is an energy-inventory of Soldathemmet at the regement in Halmstad, in colaboration with Fortifikationsverket in Halmstad. The building is first an foremost for the soldiers, where they can go for a cup of coffee or watch TV. There is also a museum and a drivers school in the building. Calculations have been done with two computerprograms; VIP+ and ISOVER Energy. The results were well matched with the statistics that were provided by Fortifikationsverket.

Moderna Museet är en institution som har fått ett statligt uppdrag att kommunicera samtidskonst med allmänheten och det är bland annat genom utställningstexterna som denna kommunikation sker. Då en väggtext på ett museum av funktionella skäl bör vara kortfattad för att nå ut till sin publik så anser jag att Moderna Museets väggtexter är en komprimerad form av den viktigaste informationen.

Because of increasing demand of power on Malmbanan the capacity of the existing wires which supply the trains must be increased. This increases the stress on the existing poles and for this reason the system for supplying the loads along the railway is to be removed from the poles and be replaced by some other system. This thesis is a study on a two-level low voltage (1 kV and 0.4 kV) electrical system with the aim to investigate if it can be an alternative to the system used today taking into account the voltages, fault currents and costs.In this thesis the following tasks have been performed:? Gathering of data? Description of basic theory? Loadow and fault current calculations of the system with MATLAB? Life Cycle Cost estimate of the system? Analysis and conclusions from the resultsThe results show that the new system can be an alternative to replace today's system. The simulations and calculations show that the voltage drop is at an acceptable level and that the fault currents are large enough to supply a safe disconnection if a fault occurs at the far end of the system..

The purpose of this thesis has been to increase the availability the exhibition text at Eskilstuna Art Museum to make it easier for the target group to read and understand them. To get answers to my questions, I have studied relevant theories and methods, including textual analysis of the current exhibition texts. In my work, I have used the principles of the concept ?easy to read? but also considered the problems with this tool when I made my prototype. My diploma thesis has focused on creating a proposal for a Viking center in Stockholm that meets the international interest. A building dedicated solely to the Viking heritage. My ambition has been to give the Viking center an architecture that can serve as scenography for its exhibitions and to give the visitors a feel for the Vikings that they have been craving.  A boat-shaped building in tribute to the Vikings boat building skills with curved stems of equal height that gives a familiar silhouette to the city.  A wood building constructed of curved beams and wood columns painted with tar..

The project Design analysis and proposals of plastic screw caps in Australia was performed at Högskolan Dalarna incooperation with University of Western Sydney, Australia. The Swedish company Tetra Pak, in Lund, were assigner forthe project that was performed 2006-2007. The commission was to do a survey about the packages for non-carbonateddrinks in Australia. The bottles had to be plastic, able to open in one step and with focus on the caps.The project has result in design analysis and a new proposal of a plastic screw cap for the Australian market. Sixbottles were choosen and they were all testet on 20 consumers each with a Likert-scale test.

In this essay I analyze the performative aspects relating to Marina Abramovi?'s The Artist Is Present, which took place in spring 2010 at MoMA in New York, from the context of the artist and work, institution and documentation. In this performance work, for the duration of the exhibition, Abramovi? sits completely still opposite another chair where anyone from the audience may sit. The art arises through this participation.
