Inventory and evaluation of Nairobi Animal Orphanage : focusing on spotted hyena, serval, Sykes' monkey, vervet monkey and on educational elements
The present BSc thesis is part of a newly established collaboration between the Swedish zoo Skansen and Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), and constitutes of an inventory of the Nairobi Animal Orphanage (AO). As a refuge for wild animals found orphaned, abandoned or injured throughout Kenya, the AO has grown over the years and reached an unsustainable point where external help is needed for solutions and improvements. The aim of the inventory is to specifically consider the husbandry and enclosures of spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta), serval (Felis serval), Sykes? monkey (Cercopithecus albogularis) and vervet monkey (Chlorocebus aethiops) and with the aid of facts about the species, estimate how well their biological needs are satisfied. Different educational elements are also reviewed since one of the main purposes of the AO is for education.

Abstract
The planning of landscapes and towns has changed from a top-to-bottom perspective, including a focus on common interests, towards an inclusion of dialogue between planners and inhabitants of the planning area. In the countryside areas there are many interests which could be incorporated in such a dialogue. Still, the landowners have the final right to make the decisions for his or her property. The purpose of this paper is to examine how a dialogue for countryside development works and could be working, what participators of such dialogues are thinking about their right to direct and transform the landscape, and which roles the planners may take in such a context. With this background in mind, I also look back into the history with the intention to understand the situation of today.
Gullrisbock (Phytoecia nigricornis) i grus- och sandtäkter i Halland.
This dissertation is done as a preparatory step for the action plan of environmental protection shall issue to preserve the Phytoecia nigricornis in the country when it is red-listed and classified as vulnerable (VU). My task was to investigate the prevalence of the Phytoecia nigricornis in Halland County. They wanted to see if it existed in Halland (Ehnström, 1999). If it did not exist they wanted to know how to improve its habitat.the Phytoecia nigricornis is difficult to inventory because when it is larvae it lives in the roots and lower parts of the trunk of the Solidago Virgaurea plant and the adult beetles only keeps to Solidago Virgaurea by mating and egg laying and larval caterpillars when they hatch (Bily, 1989; Molander, 1999). Often it is overlooked or missed, and one question was whether it existed in the whole country or only in those parts where it was previously found in, Skåne, Blekinge and Östergötland (Ehnström, 1999).One problem for the Phytoecia nigricornis is that their habitats is declining.

The Swedish exit tax legislation in Chapter 22. § 5 p. 4 IL states that businesses who change its tax residence to another Member State within the EES are taxed as having its assets sold at the time of the change of domicile. Ethnic discrimination is still a problem in the Swedish employment market. The Ombudsman against Ethnic Discrimination received 154 complaints relating to discrimination due to ethnicity in the working life in 2012. In addition, reported unemployment rates in Sweden differ markedly between native-born and foreign-born. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how protection against ethnic discrimination in recruitment looks like in Sweden and describe different methods an employer may use to prevent that ethnic discrimination occurs in recruitment situations. The first and second issue of the essay concern what protection there is in Sweden against ethnic discrimination in recruitment situations, based on international and national law. The traditional legal dogmatic method, which describes the valid law, is used in these sections.

The domesticated rabbit stems from the European Wild rabbit and researchers have found that they share most of the characteristics and behaviors of their wild ancestor. They form mating groups in which strong hierarchic orders are formed and they are known for their ability to dig warrens which serve as one of the most important resources for this species. Although research has been performed to increase the welfare of rabbits kept in laboratory settings little is known about the housing, behavior and welfare of the pet rabbit. Among the research that has been performed within the area results have shown that the animals are kept in small solitary cages and that although many rabbits are purchased mainly for the children many animals cannot be handled by children due to display of aggression. Another conclusion drawn is that the animals are kept in ways that differs greatly from their natural environment.

Phosphorus (P) is an essential nutrient but a surplus could lead to eutrophication. Furthermore,
the minerals used to produce the mineral phosphate is a non renewable resource.
There are in other words several reasons to reduce the leakage of P and the agriculture is one important area to attend. The aim of this work has been to investigate if carbon-rich arable soils content contain more P than arable soils with low carbon content. Moreover it has been calculated if the carbon-rich soils could pose a risk of P leakage by comparing their delivery of P with the plant uptake. The work has consisted of compiling the results from former gathered and analysed soil samples of 130 Swedish arable soils.
The fractions of P considered are water soluble P (Pw), ammonium lactate-extractable P (P-AL), hydrochloric acid-soluble P (P-HCl), organic ammonium lactate-extractable P (Porg-AL) and inorganic ammonium lactate-extractable P (Porg-HCl).
Rekryteringsprocessen inom bemanningsföretag
Syftet med studien är att beskriva och analysera rekryteringsprocessen med fokus på bedömning av kandidaters kompetenser. Ett delsyfte är att granska i vilken grad rekryteringsprocessen kan vara saklig och opartisk. Det har genomförts med en litteraturstudie och kvalitativa intervjufrågor.Resultatet visar att en kombination av bedömningsmetoder bör användas för att få ett underlag som bidrar med tillförlitlighet. Subjektivitet är en naturlig del som rekryteraren måste hantera. Det får inte influera omdömet till den grad att kravprofilen inte följs.
Cause Related Marketing - En strategi för en Rosa framtid
I ett samhälle där det råder allt större konkurrens mellan företag och produkter, och då kunderna blir allt mer krävande, har Cause Related Marketing (CRM) blivit något av en unik win-win strategi. CRM innebär att ett företag tillsammans med en välgörenhetsorganisation skapar ett samarbete för att marknadsföra och sälja en produkt för välgörande ändamål och därmed nå ömsesidig vinst.Syftet med uppsatsen är att se vilka effekter CRM kan ha i jämförelse med traditionell marknadsföring. Vi har valt att undersöka varför företag väljer att engagera sig i välgörenhet och om man kan använda ett sådant samarbete som ett marknadsföringsverktyg.Den metod vi använt för studien är en kvalitativ metod. Till vår hjälp har vi använt oss av tidigare forskning inom ämnet samt genomfört intervjuer med företag som varit relevanta för studien. Företagen som medverkar är verksamma inom detaljhandel eller dagligvaruhandel och samtliga har valt att engagera sig i Rosa Bandet.Slutsatser som dragits genom studien är att CRM är en strategi som alla företag inom detaljhandel och dagligvaruhandel kan använda sig av.
Att lyckas med utstationering - En kvalitativ studie kring framgångsfaktorer och svenska expatriater
Denna studies syfte var att undersöka svenska expatriaters erfarenheter kring fram-gångsfaktorer som leder till att lyckas med utstationeringen. Studien fokuserade på framgångsfaktorerna expatriatens personlighet och organisationens agerande.Studien har utgått från Briscoe, Schuler & Claus (2009) definition att en lyckad expat- riat ska ha fullföljt uppdraget, haft en bra kulturell anpassning samt varit effektiv på ar- betet. Vidare är studiens teori uppdelad i två delar; expatriatens personlighet och organi- sationens agerande. Expatriatens personlighet undersöktes genom Big Five, eller fem- faktormodellen över personlighet. Organisationens agerande har baserats på tidigare forskning samt litteratur vilka har belyst rekryteringsprocessen, innan, under och efter uppdraget.Kvalitativa intervjuer valdes som metod för studien.
Analys av system för rening av avloppsvatten i en anaerob membranbioreaktor
The most common way to treat wastewater in Sweden today is by a combination of an activated sludge process and a chemical treatment. These processes are not very energy efficient and may not be the most environmentally friendly. That is why it is interesting to evaluate new alternative methods to see if they can be less harmful to the environment and help to a lower resource consumption. New techniques are tested in a pilot installation at Hammarby Sjöstad, Sjöstadsverket. To be able to evaluate these techniques in a wide perspective system analyses are conducted where different impacts can be considered, advantages and disadvantages in the systems.Five system structures for water treatment have been constructed in Matlab/Simulink in this study.

Vid millennieskiftet stod det klart att två av Europas största mejeriföretag skulle fusioneras ihop till ett företaget. Svenska koncernen Arla och den danska MD Foods gick ihop i en så kallad merger of equals vilket innebär att fusionen äger rum mellan likvärdiga parter.Efter fusionen går det att ifrågasätta om fusionen verkligen blev jämn. Eftersom både styrelseordförande och VD:n är danskar samt att koncernledningen till stor del är danskt. Huvudkontoret placerades även i den danska staden Århus. Det är därför osäkert om begreppet merger of equals var ett knep för att få företagets ägare och medlemmar att gå med på att fusioneras.

I Sverige upplever dagligen över 1,5 miljoner sysselsatta, sitt arbete som ergonomiskt påfrestande. Inom storhushållsbranschen förekommer många av de vanligaste arbetsmiljöproblemen som t.ex. buller, tunga lyft, dåliga arbetsställningar, bristande ventilation, hala golv, kemiska hälsorisker och farliga maskiner. Arbetet i storhushåll är ofta fysiskt tungt utan att hänsyn tas till att flertalet arbetstagare är kvinnor. Till följd av detta är belastningsskador vanligt förekommande i branschen.
