Title: Experiential learning in the upper secondary school ? a study of film as a method in music education. Today the school competes foremost with TV and the computer regarding the spreading of knowledge. I believe that it is of great importance for the school to move with the developments of society in order to, to a greater extent, reach and motivate pupils. My degree thesis is about how you, as a teacher, can use experiential learning in music teaching in the upper secondary school.

Student recruitment? - Three teachers? thoughts concerning children's first experiences in municipal arts and music schools. The aim of this thesis is to explore three teacher' experiences of recruitment of students to arts and music schools. The thesis includes thoughts about how teachers can inspire students and why the orchestral string bass is an infrequent choice of instrument to study. I have examined the issues through a qualitative study where I have interviewed three licensed string bass teachers of different ages and backgrounds.

The purpose of this study is to examine how four educators in two different departments at two different preschools in Stockholm, selects children's literature in preschool and how literature is used in the activities and how much influence children have in the choice of literature. Based on qualitative interviews as a method we have interviewed pedagogues to get answers to our questions. We will also interview some children to find out how involved they are in the purchase of literature on the departments we examined. We consider the social cultural perspective to be a well rounded starting point for our survey, because the theory gives us the opportunity to study how the interaction and meetings between educators and children develop for each reading encounter. And through the analysis a thorough display between educators and children towards literature will be shown.

The aim of this masters thesis is to examine the supply of magazines and periodicals for young people at the library. We also examine young peoples reading of magazines and periodicals and compare the librarys selection with what young people read. The main questions of this thesis are: What do young people do at the library on their spare time? What weekly magazines and periodicals do young people read? What range of magazines and periodicals do the city- and the school library have? Where is the department located and how is it designed? What kind of relationship is there between young peoples reading and the selection? To answer these questions we have done an interview with a librarian and a questionnaire among 13-16 year old children. We found that it is not often that young people read their magazines and periodicals at the library.

This study is about inmates, who reflect upon their time in school, their experiences of school and how different things have influenced and affect them later in life. The aim with this study is to examine how different kinds of school related issues have affected the inmates in different ways. The aim is also to look at how school can spot in early years, children within the danger zone and provide for those children, so that they can be helped in different ways and so that they can be able to achieve different in life, not to end up becoming criminals later in life.The main questions in this study are:How did the chosen inmates experience their time in school?Can you by looking at research tell that these persons already in their childhood were children within the danger zone?What kind of school related issues could have contributed to a criminal lifestyle later in life?The result of this study shows that all five have been children within the danger zone. In all five cases there have been school related issues that have affected those men.

Uppsatsen syfte är att undersöka elevers medieupplevelse av medierna läs- och surfplatta samt tryckt bok, då läsupplevelsen kan påverkas av medieupplevelsen. Frågeställningarna är av didaktiskt karaktär och rör eventuella skillnader mellan medierna, samt de eventuella pedagogiska konsekvenser som följer.I bakgrunden ligger fokus på läsning, språkande och medium. Utgångspunkten är ett historiskt perspektiv som leder fram till nutid, där ett genusperspektiv och ett pedagogiskt perspektiv aktualiseras.Undersökningen bygger på enkäter och intervjuer och rör således tre undersökningsgrupper från två olika skolor. Eleverna som ingår i dessa grupper går på högstadiet eftersom lässtatistik indikerar att det är i högstadieåldern läsningen börjar gå nedåt. Undersökningen koncentreras i enlighet med frågeställningarna på medieupplevelse och läsupplevelse kopplat till främst skola och undervisning.Resultatet visar att en skillnad mellan medieupplevelsen av platta och bok finns.

The archive contains several types of documentation, such as audio recordings, photographs, posters, video recordings and books representing Swedish rock music history. In order to store information about the audio recordings in the archive, Svenskt Rockarkiv uses a SQL Server 2000 database and a client application written in Microsoft.NET C# and Windows Forms. Det övergripande syftet med arbetet är att undersöka och studera ett läsinlärnings projekt med fokusering på arbetet med storböcker. Med arbetet vill jag få reda på orsaken till att man har startat ett kommunomfattande läsinlärningsprojekt och vad läsinlärningsprojektet innehåller. Syftet är vidare att ta reda på vad storböcker är för något och hur man arbetar med dem. Genom arbetet vill jag hitta ett sätt som både inspirerar mig som lärare och mina kommande elever till att lära sig läsa. Arbetet inleds med en litteraturgenomgång där läsaren får bekanta sig med vad läsning är och med olika begrepp som nämns i resultatdelen.

Purpose/Aim: The purpose of this essay is to analyze and discuss how MTV is affected by the development that takes place on the world?s media market. The aim is also to see how MTV?s target group?s image of the channel can give guidelines in how MTV should act in this new media era.Material/method: I have examined the development on the media market and then created a model consisting of relevant factors that could affect a TV-channel today.
