Integritet och långsiktig användbarhet hos textdokument : En avvägningsproblematik vid digitalt bevarande
This thesis is about a potential trade-off between integrity and long-term usability in the choice of file formats for preservation of text documents. Five common formats are discussed: plain text, PDF/A, Office Open XML Document, Open Document Text, and Markdown. The formats are compared with respect to four criteria related to integrity and usability and to the records continuum model: support by widely used software, stability, rendering of contents and reusability.It is concluded that no single format is optimal with respect to all four criteria, when it comes to preserving typical documents in a modern environment, with more or less complex formatting and document structure. Therefore, the feasiblity of using two or more formats for preservation of a single document (e.g. PDF/A combined with Markdown and/or Office Open XML) is discussed.
Deltagarnas utställning : Utställningarana Hej! och Present i teori och praktik
Many institutions currently work with visitor participation. Participatory culture is basically to invite visitors to participate and to give an opportunity to co-creation. In my research I have studied two projects. The first one is the exhibition Hej! produced by Postmuseum (the Swedish mail museum) and the second one is Present by Riksutställningar (a Swedish government).This development indicates that the museums are on their way towards a new definition. Earlier museums were defined as a source of knowledge which purpose was to spread lore to the people.
Motivation och arbetstillfredsställelse i ett monotont arbete : En kvantitativ fallstudie gjord på kassamedarbetare på Ica Kvantum och Coop Forum
Motivation, in an organizational context, is about whether the employees feel that their work is worthwhile, satisfactory and that there are opportunities for further development within the organization. However, motivation can be affected by a number of factors that originate from the employees? characteristics, the characteristics of the situation and the individuals perception of that situation. A factor that could lead to a low level of motivation is if the employee feels that his work is monotonous.Thus the purpose was to study the factors that lead to motivation and job satisfaction in a working environment that generally is considered monotonous and dull by investigating the target group cashiers at two Swedish grocery stores called Ica Kvantum and Coop Forum.In this study a quantitative method was used by the design of a questionnaire. The questionnaire was used to get a general idea of the factors that the respondents consider motivating in their work.The results and the analysis of the questionnaire show that you really cannot make any general conclusions since there are many different factors that lead to motivation depending on who you are as an individual and in what phase of life one finds oneself.
Digital guidning på campus Alnarp : tekniska lösningar för riktad information till olika målgrupper
Today digital guides are most frequently used by the museum and tourism industries. They are also used for education purposes. They make it possible to distribute information and have it easily accessible. In addition to written information they add sound, pictures and videos which lift the whole impression of the visited place to a higher level.
A variety of systems currently in use today have been evaluated.
Förslag till gestaltning av miljön kring en byggnad med nyklassicistiska drag
Syftet med arbetet har varit att genom undersökning av denna klassicistiskt inspirerade tidsperiod välja ut lämpliga växter för att ta fram förslag för hur man skulle kunna skapa en miljö med historisk karaktär kring Gula magasinet i Nävekvarn. I denna process har jag studerat litteratur om sådana växter och annat material som skulle kunna användas för att sätta en stilriktig karaktär på miljön. Jag har även gjort en undersökning kring bruksorten Nävekvarn och om Gula magasinet och kortfattat sammanställt detta. I min undersökning har jag besökt Nävekvarn och Sörmlands museum för att hitta den lokala information som finns om platsen. Jag har även tagit bilder på platsen och samtalat med boende och verksamma i Nävekvarn för att få veta vad de har för syn på magasinet, hur det har och kommer att användas i framtiden.
Mellan bildningsideal och besparingskrav : En studie av Uppsala universitetsbiblioteks styrdokument 1999-2013
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how structural changes are depicted as well as formally brought about in the documents of rule and regulation of Uppsala University and Uppsala University Library the years 1999?2013. Beside the documents of rule and regulation, also documents that is commenting on (or in other ways relates to) these are investigated. The study is based both in organizational theory and modern rhetorical theory. The results show that the University to a certain extent gained an increased possibility to micromanage the library?s working routines during the time span covered and the study traces the consequences this had on the library organization and reactions it evoked among the leaders and representatives of the library staffThis raised a debate between representatives from the University library and its mother organization, the University, regarding at which level in the whole organization decisions regarding the library?s forms of funding and everyday praxis.
Analys av tre projekt; bostäder i Årsta och Marievik; ubåtsmuseum i Karlskrona.
Tre projekt; två bostadsprojekt i Stockholm ( Marievik och Årsta) och ett ubåtsmuseum i Karlskrona. Bostadsprojekten visar två olika förhållningssätt till Stockholms förortbebyggelse. Marievik projektet lokaliserat i ett företagsområde i Liljeholmen med närheten till Hornstulls kvartersstad, har som utgångspunkt stenstaden. Räta gator och kvarter får utgöra sinnebilden av stenstadens funktioner. Därav också stadens krav på att den första våningen skall utföras som en sockelvåning ? även om sten och tegel sedan länge lämnat byggnadskonstuktionen för dessa typer av bostadshus.Årsta projektet ligger i utkanten av ABC-staden med fem höga punkt/skivhus som granne i norr och trevånings lameller i söder.
Fallet SAS : En studie i hur medial diskurs reproducerar maktförhållanden på arbetsmarknaden
Aim: The purpose of this study is to explore how the media through a certain discourse constructs a view of the labor market and the power relations between companies, unions and employees. The goal is to explore this through studying the media coverage of SAS? financial situation between September-December 2012 and our research question is the following: What view of the labor market and its power relations was constructed and reproduced by Swedish newspapers through their portrayal of SAS during September-December 2012?Method: This study analyses the findings with the help of questions based on theories of social constructivism, discourse, agenda-setting and power. A content and discourse analysis was compiled of 360 articles from five Swedish newspapers that addressed SAS and their situation from September-December 2012. The results of these analyses were further processed using power analysis and John Gaventa?s power cube.Results: In this study we conclude that the medial discourse constructs identities of the different actors and affect power relations between them, in favor of the company.
Inomhusmiljöproblem i fuktiga byggnader : En utredning av åtgärder vid fuktrelaterade inomhusmiljöproblem
Dampness in the indoor environment have been a major issue of discussion the last decades since more and more people complain about their indoor environment. In the present situation there are difficulties to find what causes people?s discomfort in a damp environment even though there is a strong connection between dampness and human health.The aim of the thesis was to contribute to the work done today to achieve a better indoor environment in damp buildings. The purpose of the work was to evaluate whether the measures issued for dampness in the indoor environment contributes to the improvement of health and environment for those who are living or working in that space. Through a literature review, interview and survey the following three questions were answered to achieve the aim and purpose:How are people affected by the indoor environment in damp buildings?Which are the measures issued to prevent dampness in the indoor environment?Do these interventions contribute to a better indoor environment?How people are affected by the indoor environment in damp buildings and how these problems are prevented were the foundation for the continued work with the survey.

The intention of this final thesis is to look into the improvement of small and run down railway stations. Many railway stations are today derelict and decaying. The purpose of this essay is to propose alternative strategies of action by discussing the ecology, the history and the social function of the railway station. There is also an overview of projects already completed.
In the analysis part of the thesis, the genius loci or the spirit of place is put forward as means of reaching a solution.
Intern marknadsföring - i ett tjänsteproducerande IT-företag
The purpose of this thesis was to describe how service producing IT- companies handles their internal marketing. We wanted to understand how management deal with internal marketing activities and how different companies create a working environment to encourage employees to motivation and well-being. To be able to find out we did a case study on a service producing IT-company. Two personal interviews were done with two of the managers. Our empirical research showed that the company used internal marketing on a daily basis.
Samvetsfrihet : En studie om vårdpersonals rättigheter till och upplevelser av samvetsfrihet vid abortverksamhet i Sverige och Norge
The right to freedom of conscience is protected by international conventions and declarations of human rights that have been ratified by Sweden. Nationally, the issue of health professionals? right to freedom of conscience in the abortion care is not resolved by public inquiry. This has led to that Sweden has been notified to the European Committee of Social Rights on the grounds that the country is considered to be violating the Council of Europe Resolution 1763 and that the proper question to be determined by regulations of the interests that are balanced, based on their legal value in relation to each other. Freedoms, rights and obligations conflict with each other.
Konsten i periferin : En studie av villkoren för kulturskapare på landsbygden i Värmland, med fokus på Alma Löv och konstnärerna Broos
The purpose of this thesis is to examine the political ambitions regarding culture inVärmland, and the situation for artists living on the countryside in Värmland. This meansthat the conditions surronding the artists situation will be looked upon. I have chosen thepolitical document Kulturplanen, created by Region Värmland, as my guideline to whatkind of political view there is on art and cultures role in the region. Furthermore, I havechosen Pierre Bourdieu`s theory about art as a field controlled by and under the influenceof different rules within the filed itself and what or whom has the power to act and be apart of the filed. I also use interviews as my method for this study.
Hur gör man motivation? - en studie i ett industriföretag - Vad en ledare skall tänka på för att motivera sin personal?
För att företagen skall kunna bevara sin konkurrenskraft har en hög motivation hos deanställda fått en allt större betydelse. Jag har i denna studie studerat motivation och vad somkommer att påverka motivationsgraden hos de anställda mest. Detta med utgångspunkt fråntre olika aspekter, vilka är; ledarskap, lärande organisation och utvecklingssamtalet. Somteoretisk bas har jag använt mig av fyra olika klassiska motivationsteorier. Alla dessa teorierhar som utgångspunkt förklarat vad som gör individer motiverade, däremot saknade jag enbeskrivning hur en ledare skall agera för att skapa motivation hos sin personal.
Värvningsförbud av anställda och konkurrensbegränsande samarbeten
This thesis focuses on employers? use of non-?solicitation of employees in commercial contracts within the union?s internal market and how this can result in restrictive practices in violation of European law. Using legal method, legal economic considerations, and guidance from modern American legal development in antitrust law, this thesis is aiming to investigate how this kind of anticompetitive cooperation in the European labor market should be assessed. The result seems to be that despite a distinct and pronounced restrictive approach to the application of EU competition rules in the labor market, there are strong incentives and not any legal impediment to apply Article 101 TFEU on no cold call agreements between employers. .
