The purpose of this essay is to examine how Irish people on a rural location practice their faith in everyday life. The intention is also to find out what strategies my interviewees use to negotiate the abuse scandal and what their thoughts on the Catholic Church are. The material mainly consists of interviews with seven people part of a rural parish in Ireland. My research also entails smaller observations and conversations in the homes of the participants.The results indicate that they all consider themselves religious, however not all Catholic. All of the participants integrate their religion in everyday life.

In this thesis ? concerning didactics of literature ? I perform a reading and theoretical analysis of two pivotal works within reader-response theory, more precisely: Literature as Exploration (1938) and The Reader, the Text, the Poem ? The aim of this study was to examine if transformational leadership, transactional leadership, gender, educational level, income and age predict work motivation, referring to Herzberg?s motivation-hygiene theory. According to past research the factors above increase work motivation. The study was brought about with a survey based on the Multi Factor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ-5X), Herzberg?s motivation-hygiene theory and demographic items.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka vad sjuksköterskestudenter reflekterar över samt vilka kommentarer de fick under den verksamhetsförlagda utbildningen. För att kunna besvara frågeställningarna valde jag en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Min metod för datainsamling var att jag analyserade sjuksköterskestudenternas loggböcker, som använts under den verksamhetsförlagda utbildningen. I resultatet framkom det att studenterna reflekterade mycket kring planering. Studenterna ville också vara självständiga men de kände sig ibland osäkra.

This is a study in my preparations for my final concert at the Academy of Music and Drama- ?????????? University. My aim is to create a plan and a schedule for my practising methods and other preparations so I will be able to perform at the top of my ability.I have studied and chosen a collection of methods that will help me prepare for my concert and at the same time develop my oboe playing. Those companies that have taken a stand in corporate social responsibility and work with these issues often experience difficulties orienting themselves in these areas. There is a picture of how companies want to be in their CSR commitment on corporate websites and a different reality which is reflected in the media. These different images are not in harmony with each other.The purpose of this study is to revise the CSR work of Sweden?s largest clothing companies.To answer the problem of this study a qualitative method has been used. The choice to explore a few clothing companies resulted in a multi-case study.

Spasticitet, kontrakturer och muskelstelhet kan orsaka nedsatt rörlighet i leder. Ett stort antal behandlingsmetoder för att förbättra rörligheten i leder och muskler används. Resultaten av dessa behandlingsmetoder har visat skiftande verkningsgrad, vilket ökar intresset för att ta fram mer avancerade mätmetoder med ökad tillförlitlighet. Syftet med studien var att reliabilitetstesta en Biodex multijoint system III för mätning av passiv muskelstelhet i vadmuskulaturen. Åtta män (29±5) år och tolv kvinnor (24±3) år, deltog i studien.

The housing sector of today represents for almost 40% of the energy consumption, an energy consumption of which the major part consists of non-renewable energy sources. This is not sustainable and utilization of new energy-efficient technologies in buildings can be a step in the right direction, towards a sustainable energy society.This report has been made on behalf of and in cooperation with Älvstranden Utveckling AB in Gothenburg to examine how future energy-efficient technologies can affect the energy demand in energy-efficient multi-dwelling buildings.The report is based on Älvstrandens passive house, Hamnhuset, a house whose energy consumption is far below the BBR's requirements. The report looks at the opportunities for improvement within windows, insulation, solar energy technologies, as well as white goods. Computer simulations are then made to apply the selected technologies into a reference building. Technologies are selected from an energy efficient perspective and no account has been taken of other aspects such as the economy.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate students' perception of their grades in relation to the grading criteria in physical education. To investigate this used issues: how values and experience rating criteria? How do students their teachers' planning of lessons? How do students grading assessment in physical education and what they believe is important? The method used was a questionnaire with closed questions. Training in outdoor education for teachers has contributed to outdoor education having become part of elementary schools´ activities.The purpose of this study is to find out to what extent a School of Nature is useful for three primary school teachers´ activities.

By using the cyborg as a structural tool to analyze certain aspects of human interaction with what can be perceived as landscape or landscape architectural elements, this thesis seeks to explore the concept of the cyborg landscape in order to place human practice in the context of postmodern ideas of the end of true nature. Ever since human kind has externalized evo-lution by using tools and extending the body with technological inventions, we have also taken our surroundings out of their natural trajectory. Everything we do that is conditioned by the use of technology is altering that which we perceive as nature and natural. Since we have been doing this for millennia we have of course also altered our surroundings by the influence of technology.This thesis uses three examples of landscape or landscape architectural elements that are conditioned by the integration of technology to explore this practice through a postmodern model of analysis based on the concept and basic premises of the cyborg, or the cybernetic organism. A cybernetic organism is in short an organism that has functioning technological parts integrated into its system.
