The thesis examined whether there is a distinct boundary between art and advertising. The collected data showed how art and advertising are linked to each other and also differ from each other, in particular through the latter half of the 1900?s. What was happening in society came to have great impact on what happened in art and advertising. In postwar Germany, capitalism realism evolved from the German pop art where the art was removed from the art gallery and placed on the streets where the people were, in an era that was characterized by a gap between the rich and the poor.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka utvecklingsmaterial som används på förskolorna i en mindre kommun i Sverige och om användandet av dem kan leda till att enskilda barn bedöms. Ett annat syfte var att ta del av förskollärares tankar kring begreppet bedömning då vi själva ville ha en ökad förståelse för detta begrepp. Vi valde att anta en hermeneutisk ansats och arbetade på ett kvalitativt arbetssätt. För att samla in resultat till vår studie genomfördes intervjuer. Intervjuerna skedde med utbildade förskollärare.

Frågor som lyfts är ?Var mår eleverna bäst och finns det metoder som fungerar så att alla elever kan inkluderas?? Min studie syftar till att undersöka möjligheten till ett inkluderande arbetssätt i engelskundervisningen med hjälp av Europeisk Språk Portfolio och Autonomous Learning.

In the fragmented network economy of toady remote work for creative designers becomes mor eand more prevalent. This is good for a number of reasons. Mainly, creative designers can find work inside and outside of their region irrespective of where they choose to live. However, competing for jobs in a global market is harder, and the online presence of the creatives becomes their main shopping window. We have conducted a study, interviewing digital creatives in Västerbotten.

The case study we conducted describes market for transmission of terrestrial digital TV. The purpose of this study is to find out what hinders potential entrants from entering the market as well as to discuss possible competitive strategies for potential entrants. Our conclusion is that even though the market for transmission of terrestrial digital TV can be viewed as attractive due to its fast growth, there are barriers to entry that block companies we identified as potential entrants from entering the market. The industry experience of the current market players (Teracom and Boxer) along with their knowledge of the consumers and the fact that Teracom is a multi-business company are some of the factors to be taken into consideration. Switching costs is the most important barrier to entry for the industry.

Tail-biting in pigs is an animal welfare issue and in Sweden during 2002 the producers lost tree million Swedish crowns because of tail biting. This economic loss depends on the pigs which are discarded at slaughter because of tail biting. Tail biting can be separated into two stages, "pre-injury" and "injury". The aim of this study is to investigate if tail biting depends on environment or genetic background.A lot of research on the environments effects on the behaviour of pigs but not so much on the genetic effects has been performed. The frequency of tail biting in pig farms influence among others of environment enrichment, ventilation, gender and breed of the pig.

This study was conducted in the "Kåtaberget" forest reserve in Västerbotten in the summer of 1999. In the summer of 1995, a prescribed burning was performed in the reserve. In some places where coarse dry woody debris (logs and stumps) was present, the fire consumed the wood, as well as parts of the humus layer, creating deep-burned patches. The low intensity ground fire also created dead woody debris by burning off living trees with open fire scars, as well as standing dead trees. In this study, the post-fire tree seedling establishment was examined, with special attention given to the former presence of woody debris. The study also includes a survey of the areal extent of deep-burned patches, as well as an examination of tree seedling establishment in these patches, compared to other burnt ground.

Children shoes today is designed with the idea that there feet need a lot of support.Due to this the shoes are stiff all over and children are not recommend to wereshoes when they learn how to walk1. It is also quite difficult to squeeze there feet into these shoes.My project is about minimizing the gap between learning how to walk bare footindoors to take the first steps outside. And while doing that create a collection ofshoes and create a new brand; My First Sneakr.My First Sneakrs is inspired by retro sneakers, hiphop- and street culture. Theshoes are colored with attitude and the models are unisex. The outsoles are soft tomimic the bare foot feeling.The shoe has an opening feature in the back, making it easy to put on.

Det inträffar ett ökande antal bränder i bussar. Enbart i Sverige rapporteras bussbränder i genomsnitt tre gånger varje vecka. De flesta av dessa bränder uppstår i bussens motorrum. Att installera ett väl fungerande aktivt brandskydd i motorrummet är därför en viktig säkerhetshöjande åtgärd. För närvarande finns det ingen internationell standard för att pröva och utvärdera brandsläckningssläcksystem i bussar.

Denna studie handlar om lärares förhållningssätt där syftet är att beskriva och analysera vilka strategier lärare använder för att utmana elevens lärande. Studien baseras på kvalitativ undersökning i form av intervjuer av sju grundskolelärare. Vi valde att hämta vårt empiriska material på olika skolor med hopp om att få kvalitativt skilda utsagor.I teoridelen redogörs det dels för hur läraryrket styrs utifrån gällande politisk styrning samt ekonomiska aspekter. Studien belyser betydelsen av att variera metod och material för att bemöta alla elevers olikheter och olika inlärningsstilar. Individuell utvecklingsplan och portfolio är två redskap för läraren i syfte att dokumentera elevens lärande och utveckling.

This thesis studies private equity firms' implementation of management control systems in their portfolio companies and whether the systems are affected by cross-national differences. A comparative case study examines five different private equity firms to derive if there are any differences between the private equity firms' management control systems in the United States, Europe and China. The empirical observations are categorized according to the framework developed by Merchant (1985) and further developed by Merchant and Van der Stede (2003). Theory on the effect of multinationality on management control systems, also developed by Merchant and Van der Stede (2003), are used to explain possible findings. The applied theory includes the cultural dimensions developed by Hofstede (1984) and Hofstede and Bond (1988).

Syftet är att undersöka genusrelaterade mönster i dokumentationen, såväl likheter som olikheter studeras. Vår textanalys bygger på 12 barns portfoliotexter från en Reggio Emilia-inspirerad förskola. En av Reggio Emilia-filosofins grundstenar är dokumentation. De frågeställningar vi utgått från är: Skiljer sig språket åt i den skriftliga dokumentationen för pojkar respektive flickor och i så fall hur? Vad dokumenteras hos pojkar respektive flickor? Går det att utläsa skillnader och likheter i vilka processer/lärosituationer som dokumenteras för pojkar respektive flickor? Till grund för vår analys ligger Faircloughs tredimensionella modell (Winther Jørgensen & Phillips, 2000).

The aim of this study was to examine bilingual childrenslexical organization and to investigate weather bilingual children hadundergone the syntagmatic-paradigmatic shift in grade four. Thirtychildren from multi-ethnic areas were tested with Kent-Rosanoff wordassociation test in both Swedish and Arabic. The results showed thatmore than 40% of the children had undergone the shift in bothlanguages, 20 % had undergone the shift in only one of theirlanguages and almost 40% had not made the shift in any language. Acomparison with results from monolingual Swedish children in gradethree in a previous thesis, showed that the bilingual children in thisstudy did not reach the corresponding level of lexical organization.The study points to the necessity of including tests regarding lexicalorganization when assessing both mono- and bilingual children withsuspected language impairment. The study also underscores theimportance of supporting mother tongue development in bilingualchildren by for instance adequate mother tongue education.
