Indoor Energy is a company that works in the energy sector. It works through itsthree subsidiaries Indoor Energy Services, Indoor Energy Control and Indoor EnergyConsultants. Because of their comprehensive experience and offering of broad rangeof services they can contribute to integrated extensive solutions for their customers.Indoor Energy Control works with building management through control andregulation. This work is realigned by programmers and project managers. Working inthis area is complex and places a great demand on both technical innovation andprofessional project management.Due to the complexity of the work Indoor Energy Control has a hard time to get thenew employees to be independent in their work as a programmer.

The National Property Board (SFV) has been appointed by the Swedish government to administer all property of cultural value owned by the Swedes collectively. The commission includes maintaining the soul and character of each individual building, to adapt these buildings to present needs and requirements, and furthermore making them available to the public. The return on equity demanded by the government is based on the CAPM used within the real estate industry. The theoretical assumption that organizations are either function-driven or pay-driven will serve as a starting point, after which SFV will be defined as a function-driven organization with a pay-formed management control system. This paper aims to examine how applying a pay-formed management control system will affect a function-driven organization.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att undersökaPedagogernas syn på barns motoriska utveckling med inriktning till naturmiljö samt om pedagogerna är medvetna om forskningen kring barns motoriska utveckling med inriktning på naturmiljön. Studien bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer. Intervjuerna gjordes på fem olika förskolor med sex olika pedagoger, både förskollärare och barnskötare. Förskolorna var placerade i en mellan stor kommun i Sverige. De intervjuade jobbade på 1-3 års avdelning, då detta var vald åldersgrupp för undersökningen. Av resultatet framgår att pedagogerna är ute i naturen olika mycket och detta beror på olika faktorer. Det är dock medvetna om fördelarna som naturen har med sig för den motoriska utvecklingen och kan inte se några nackdelar med naturen för den motoriska utvecklingen.Pedagogerna är till viss del medvetna om forskningen kring ämnet, men de anser att medvetenheten är olika från pedagog till pedagog. Slutsatsen av studien är att pedagogerna är medvetna om de fördelar som naturen har med sig för den motoriska utvecklingen och samtliga vill vara ute mer i naturen.

The purpose of this thesis is to assist the Swedish energy company NIBE Energy Systems in their studies of adaptive regulation applicable to electrical water heaters. Due to coming energy classifications of these appliances in the European Union, NIBE Energy Systems needs to use adaptive regulation, called Smart Control, to keep their products in the best possible energy class and remain competitive to the market. By using this Smart Control regulation a 2-3 % improve-ment of efficiency can be credited the system. This is a small number, but heavily needed, since the energy classes are based on the idea that the European Union is provided with electricity from coal condensate power resulting in a 40 % maximum efficiency. Furthermore, doing noth-ing will result in some water heaters not being approved to use on the market from 2015 due to low efficiency.

The main focus with this study was to investigate if there was a difference in level ofeducation and self-rated health and if it could be explained by the amount of control,demands and social support at work. Theories used in this essay are education, health,and the job strain-model (control, demands and social support at work). We used analready done study by Folkhälsoinstitutet (2004) to examine these questions. Theanalysed sample consists of respondents 12 166 aged 18-84 years. The decline was39, 2 %.

Many organizational changes have been accomplished in elder care since the 1980's and many of those have been influenced by market mechanisms. The purpose of this study is to examine how the implementation of these market mechanisms has affected three important aspects in the work situation for personnel. These aspects are, demand, control and support. To attain the purpose of this study, five qualitative interviews with home care personnel have been carried out. The interview material has been analyzed and structured with the help of Karasek and Theorells demand-control-support model.

In the pulp industry, digesters are used to disolve lignin in wood chips. The concentration of lignin is measured and is called the Kappa number. In this thesis, the question of whether an online Kappa sensor, taking samples from the mid-phase of the digester, is useful or not is analyzed. For the samples to be useful, there has to be a relationship between the measured Kappa at the mid- phase and the measured Kappa in the blowpipe at the bottom of the digester. An ARX model of the lower part of the digester has been estimated.

This bachelor thesis aims to analyse the effects of changes in management control systems following acquisitions, and deduce whether or not these effects are in line with the acquiring firm's objectives of the acquisition. Through a case study of technician consultant firm Energo, acquired in 2010 by ÅF, the study assumes the perspective of the acquired firm. Data has been collected through in-depth interviews at Energo and ÅF and complemented by internal documents to enrich and validate specific facts and statements. Data was then arranged and analysed through Otley and Fierriera's (2009) framework Performance Management Systems to understand how management control systems were constituted before the acquisition, what changes were made following the acquisition, how this process was accomplished and how it was experienced, in order to come to conclusions about the effects of these changes. The study concludes that the changes in Energo's management control system following the integration with ÅF, had significant effects on the outcome of the acquisition, primarily as it led to a high rate of Energo's employees resigning.

There are problems with poor quality, poor scheduling and poor working climate in the Swedish construction industry. Many parts have been involved, trying to solve the problem.This spring a new planning and building-law becomes final. In this law, the requirements set on the controls are greater. Hopefully this will lead to fewer construction errors. The requirements set on the working environment have also increased, forcing consultants and contractors to focus on safe workplaces.For each project requiring a building permit, an inspection plan has to been drawn.

Detta examensarbete behandlar kommutering av en BLDC-motor, borstlös likspänningsmotor, med hjälp av FPGA, Field Programmable Gate Array. Det jämför och diskuterar också skillnader mellan de intelligenta aktuatorer som används av branchen idag med dumma aktuatorsystem och syftar till att bygga kunskap kring ämnet. Allt högre krav ställs på kommunikationen i ett fordon vad gäller hastighet och datamängd och av denna anledning är det av stort intresse att utreda om ett teknikbyte av ett driftkritiskt system som en BLDC-aktuator är möjligt och lämpligt.Som en fortsättning på tidigare examensarbeten som behandlat reglering av en borstlös likspänningsmotor med hjälp av en dum aktuator löser detta examensarbete ett problem rörande färdigskriven kommuteringskod som uppdagades. Att använda en FPGA för att ta fram kommuteringssignaler till drivsteget ger en försumbar fördröjning av de pulsbreddsmodulerade signalerna som reglerar motorn och därmed uppnås en fungerande dum aktuator som uppfyller Scanias krav för kommutering av BLDC-motorn.Dumma aktuatorer är på många sätt ett bättre alternativ än dagens intelligenta aktuatorer. Fördelar och nackdelar med tre olika system inom områdena uptime, produktionsvolymer, prisnivå och kostnader, reglerprestanda, IO-krav och eektkrav jämförs och diskuteras och på de ?flesta punkter pekar resultaten på att ett teknikbyte till dumma aktuatorer skulle ge vinster på era plan..

This study examines how a company adapts its operating control when the environmental circumstances are changing. This is a case study with a qualitative approach which is based on interviews. The main purpose is to examine how an accounting firm adjusts its operating control in order to meet the abolishment of the statutory auditing. Another purpose is to describe how the abolishment of the statutory auditing will influence or have influenced the choice of measures in the balanced scorecard. The question this study aims to examine is: How do audit firms adapt its operating control in order to meet changes in the environment? This question lead to a second question which the study also aims to examine and is How is the abolishment of the statutory auditing influencing the accounting firms goals, measures and focus in the balanced scorecard? The conclusion of this study shows that the abolishment of the statutory auditing has had an influence on the balanced scorecard.

Ungdomsarbetslösheten har ökat på många håll i Europa som en konsekvens av lågkonjunkturen och i januari 2010 låg den i Sverige på 29,1 procent. I Schweiz har ungdomsarbetslösheten, generellt sett, varit jämförelsevis låg och år 2009 låg siffran på 8,2 procent. Examensarbetets syfte var att undersöka vilken psykologisk inverkan arbetslöshet har på arbetslösa ungdomar. En enkätundersökning genomfördes med 74 arbetslösa ungdomar i åldrarna 15 till 24 år i Sverige och Schweiz. Enkäten baserades på locus of control, self-efficacy och lycka/psykologiskt välbefinnande och ungdomarnas syn på framtiden och på livet som helhet utvärderades också.

Two of Swedens´s major banks, SEB and Handelsbanken, which appears in the same industry and have similar strategy. Both banks can achieve a similar result despite the fact that their reward system looks quite different. An issue that arises from this observation is the relative reward system to the rest of the economy control system.Our purpose of this paper is therefore to examine the reward system in the organization's financial management systems. We wonder if the reward system may be a function of economic control system, or part of the system, or perhaps made independent of the system and then gradually adapted?In our study, we choose to assume a reward system has three functions to manage, motivate and compose the employee group.

The Swedish system of rent control has recieved a lot of critique for creating an ill-functioning housing market. Supporters however claim that a movement towards market rents would lead to increased segregation. We evaluate whether rent control has managed to counteract segregation in Stockholm. Our evaluation is based on a data set of 292 representative households in Stockholm. We find that residents in rent controlled apartments in attractive locations typically are born in Sweden by Swedish parents and that they are likely to have a higher income than residents in rent controlled apartments in less attractive locations.

Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is an umbrella term for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. These are characterized by a chronic inflammation of the intestinal mucosa. Living with chronic illness meant that life changed significantly. Quality of life was affected for these individuals and was stressful in their lives. Aim: The aim was to describe the experiences of living with inflammatory bowel disease. Method: A qualitative literature review was chosen to analyze articles that were related to the aim of this study. Results: Based on the chosen articles five themes were created; Commuting between hope and fear, symptoms of the disease and medication become everyday focus, struggling with  the new identity, desire to control the disease- do I control my illness or does it control me and social relationships are affected. Conclusion: Inflammatory bowel disease is a distressing disease and can cause limitations in social life due to lack of knowledge by others about the disease. The affected felt a loss of control in their life due to the difficulty in managing the symptoms.
