De finmotoriska förmågorna är oerhört viktiga vad det gäller den mänskliga läs- och skrivförmågan, då handen behöver vara tränad för att göra små rörelser och ögonen ska kunna följa dessa rörelser. Barn som har svårigheter med de finmotoriska förmågorna blir beroende av andra, då de kan få svårt att klara av vardagliga bestyr så som att klä på sig själva och använda bestick. Något som försvårar arbetet med de finmotoriska förmågorna utomhus är att barn använder vantar stora delar av året och att tillgång till materiel som utmanar handrörelser plockas fram mer sällan under vinterhalvåret på grund av kylan. Detta gör att barn inom I ur och skur-förskolor som oftast är ute får mindre träning av de finmotoriska förmågorna under kalla årstider. Vi har jämfört I ur och skur-förskolor med förskolor utan den inriktningen, vad det gäller arbetet med de finmotoriska förmågorna.

This report is regarding an electrical installation of an alarm system on a post fishingboat called Andromeda. The background of the installation was an earlier andinadequate alarm system that led to a motor failure. The ship was taken out of serviceand was sold to Björn Magndahl who rebuilt it to a yacht.The project was conducted partly by developing the existing systems, partly bydocumenting the work by means of electrical blue prints. Except the alarm systems, aninstallation of the frequency control unit for the bow thruster was installed.The installation was working fine and the outcome of the documentation was handedover in a form of a binder during the test drive of the systems and the assignment wasapproved..

Volvo Personvagnar AB Motor (VCE) är ett bilindustriföretag som ingår i Fordkoncernen. Företaget ligger på ett flertal platser i Sverige, bland annat i Skövde. Vid produktionsenheten i Skövde, som går under namnet SKep är den huvudsakliga sysselsättningen bearbetning och montering av bensin- och dieselmotorer till personbilar. Inom företaget drivs, med hjälp av företagshälsovården, några arbetsmiljöutbildningar för chefer, arbetsledare och skyddsombud. Detta examensarbete kom att beröra arbetsmiljöarbete kopplat till utbildning av chefer och arbetsledare inom detta område.

The occurrence of small amounts of albumin in urine, microalbuminuria (MA), is used both in human- and veterinary medicine as an indicator for patients who have developing proteinuria. Proteinuria can be prerenal, renal or postrenal which is important to establish during an investigation. With conventional methods decreased renal function is not detected until 70 % of renal function is lost. The ability to detect and start a treatment earlier might reverse or slow the progression of disease. The purpose of this study was to investigate the reliability of Heska® E.R.D.-Health Screen?, a test for microalbuminuria in dogs, to detect albuminuria.

The aim of this study has been to examine how people with the chronic disease diabetes are seek-ing information about their disease. The study also look at the sources, which are mainly used, and the information behavior of the participants in this study. Especially in diabetes health care the idea of empowerment is central, which means that the patients need a lot of information to get know-ledge and become empowered. The study also examine the public library as a resource of health information, and for that purpose an examination of the OPAC catalog in two public libraries has been done, using the word ?diabetes? to illustrate the literature and other medias related to di-abetes.

Studierna visar att Motor Relearning Programme, Arm Basis training och Balance Performance Monitor träning har bättre effekt än Bobathmetoden i ADL aktiviteter.Arm Basis training, Motor Relearning Programme och Bobathmetoden förbättrade handfunktionen över tiden.

Patienter med cardiovaskulär sjukdom kräver i många fall en livslång medicinering där följsamheten till den medicinska behandlingen ofta brister. Följden blir ett lidande för individen med ett försämrat hälsotillstånd. Sjuksköterskans ansvarsområde innefattar att förmedla evidensbaserad kunskap till sina patienter. Syftet är därför att belysa metoder till ökad följsamhet genom sjuksköterskans pedagogiska roll i samband med läkemedels behandling vid cardiovaskulär sjukdom. Vetenskapliga artiklar är sökta via databaserna Cinahl och PubMed.

The purpose of this work is to do an investigation on the customers in the pharmaceutical sector; mainly general physicians who have taken part in the education events have any impact in their prescription behaviour after the participation in the program. The settings for this study are general practitioners in the Swedish market who have taken part in the education program held by Novo Nordisk in the treatment of diabetes disease. Methodology: The methodological approach adopted for this work is quantitative; using secondary data from the internal database from the company. The analytical model is tested through statistical analysis using the data?s obtained from the databases.

The aim of this study is to investigate teachers? experiences of working with Writing to Read (WTR), and their perceptions of how pupils develop in reading and writing when they write on computers or similar devices. Another aim is to study teachers? motives for using the WTR method. The material used for analysis is four interviews with teachers who use WTR.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) är ett samlingsnamn för en grupp inflammatoriska tarmsjukdomar och en av de vanligaste orsakerna till kroniska mag-tarmsymtom hos hund. Orsakerna till IBD är inte helt fastställda men tarmslemhinnans immunförsvar, bakterieflora, genetiska faktorer och miljöfaktorer anses vara centrala för tillståndet. En av de mest utbredda uppfattningarna är att sjukdomen uppkommer som ett resultat av bristande immunologisk tolerans som gör att immunförsvaret felaktigt går till attack mot harmlösa antigen. Syftet med den här litteraturstudien var att undersöka vilken roll Pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) har i IBD, hur tarmbarriären påverkar risken för sjukdomen, vilka förändringar av tarmfloran som setts hos IBD-hundar och hur floran påverkar sjukdomsuppkomst. Litteraturen menar att en defekt tarmbarriär är en av de nyckelfaktorer som hör ihop med IBD. Ökad permeabilitet i tarmen kan öka exponeringen, och därmed interaktion, mellan antigen och immunförsvar vilket inducerar inflammation. Oavsett om en defekt tarmbarriär uppkommer som en effekt av sjukdomen eller om det är en direkt orsak till IBD så är det troligen viktigt för att det ska bli kroniskt.

In this thesis, three separate experiments have been performed on different aspects of the interaction between the causal agent of clubroot, Plasmodiophora brassicae, and its hosts. In the first experiment the pathotype of the P. brassicae single spore isolate, which is currently used to construct a reference genome, has been classified using the ECD bioassay. The disease severity of infected plants was scored according to two different scales and the pathotype was determined according to three previously published guidelines. The results were compared to previous published studies describing the e3 isolate. The life cycle of P. brassicae is not well understood.

Background Calprotectin is a protein expressed in the cytoplasm inside the neutrophile granulocytes. During inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), the neutrophile granulocytes are involved in a complex interaction at the inflammatory area where they die and release their content into the intestinal lumen. Therefore, calprotectin in stool is a suitable marker for diagnosis and measurement of the disease-activity in patients with IBD. The most commonly used method to detect calprotectin in stool is ELISA, but the process of manual preparation of stool samples is time-consuming.Aim The objective of the study was to evaluate an extraction method that could replace manual preparation of fecal samples and to compare different methods for measuring Calprotectin in stool using two ELISA-methods from two manufacturers and one rapidtest.Methods For extraction of calprotectin from stool samples we used sample collector tubes from Epitope Diagnostics and fecal preparation kits from Roche. Two different ELISA-kits for measuring calprotectin concentration in stool were compared.

The aim of our thesis was to describe how the connection between co-dependent relatives and the alcohol-dependent influences the family into changes in their teamwork.Our purpose was also to answer the following questions: How is it living with an alcoholic? Are there any differences in how men and women feel and behave in their relationship with an alcoholic? Are factors like cultural belonging, genre or social class important for how the co-dependent relatives feels and behaves and handle their co-dependency?To answer these questions we made twelve thematic qualitative interviews with six adult children to alcoholics and six people married to alcoholics. We compared the results of these interviews with earlier research. We also applied System Theory and Goffman's Role Theory, as well as Bourdieu´s Capital and Habitus concept.We believe that co-dependency is a family divergence that is very similar to family disease, but that a change in attitude can trigger recovery. According to the interviews many spouses stand by their alcoholic husbands and do actions that perpetuate the alcoholic dependence and thereby hold back any recovery.

Detta projekt är ett examensarbete för kandidatexamen som är obligatorisk för alla studenter. För att ta ut examen måste jag lämna en skriftlig rapport om vad jag har gjort. Redovisa simuleringar och mätningar på olika kretsar. I mitt fall var jag intresserad på att studera hur varvtalet på en likströmsmotor kan regleras med hjälp av olika metoder.  Detta är mycket utmanande för mig eftersom jag inte har sett så många lösningar på detta problem. Jag kommer att använda kunskap, teknik och komponenter från Kraftelektronik för att utföra mitt arbete. Det blir mycket intressant att med dagens utveckling av tekniken se hur olika metoder kan användas för att undersöka hur kraftelektronik kan användas i kontroll av varvtal, frekvens och rotationsriktning av elektriska maskiner. .

At nuclear power plants, electrical valve actuators are important for ensuring that the reactor core is water covered and the pressure in the reactor tank and containment is limited. The electrical actuators are provided with overload protection in case of drawing higher current then the motors are rated for. When safety manoeuvres are needed, the overload protection must not trig and cause the valve to stop before completing the manoeuvre. Analyses have showed that the current settings of the overload protection may cause an illegitimate trig at the worst theoretically possible accident. A new method has been developed with conservative assumptions and applies overload protections for all electrical valve actuators at the three reactors in Forsmark..
