The purpose of this essay is to outline the aspects of the rule of law that can be applied to credibility assessment in the asylum procedure, and more specifically what factors influence the assessment of credibility in practice. To evaluate this procedure, a multidisciplinary method has been used. Secondary data has been collected from previous academic research and from legal documents such as the Swedish Aliens Act. Since the area of study lacks a reflection on how credibility issues are dealt with in practice, primary research in the form of qualitative interviews has been conducted.Key findings suggest that the Swedish asylum system does offer a fairly inclusive refugee law and rights protection relating to the rule of law. However, the study also suggests that the decision maker's own subjectivity, lack of training relating to trauma and torture victims as well as a rigid system of regulations contribute to credibility assessments being arbitrary and discretionary, in violation of the rule of law..

The objective of this graduate work is to gain a better understanding in how pre-school educators are able to work with music in their pre-school activity to promote child development. We also want to enlighten possible factors for the development of children based on music and to form our own ideas of whether teachers choose to apply music in their didactic practice or not.The point of this essay has been to attempt answering on what importance music makes for children's development and learning in pre-school, and how teachers could work with music in pre-school in order to promote children?s development. Our data consists of six interviews and two observations realized at a pre-school in Södertälje.We took heed from the theories laid out by Lev Vygotsky's which describe four different levels of development that includes educational development in social interaction between teacher and child. Our choice of this theory is inspired by our seeking deeper understanding of Vygotsky's theory´s application to the aesthetic approach in the interaction in meaning making and learning.The result of our study confirms previous theory and research in that music as a form of expression has a major impact on children's development.

The Goal with this Master of Science thesis is to expand the possible turbine efficiencymeasurements on an exhaust turbocharger. It was done as a part of the CICERO competencecentre. To feed the turbine with air a special flow rig has been used. Instead of loading theturbine by just restricting the compressor flow a docking system for an electrical dynamometer isdesigned to use the dynamometer as an additional loading source. By using an electricaldynamometer as loading device for the turbine, measurements are not depending on compressorperformance.A large part of the work consists in designing accessories for the dynamometer.

Tidigare forskning har påvisat att självkänslan är möjlig att tillfälligt förändra. Detta har undersökts genom experimentella studier där manipulationer av olika slag har genomförts. Manipulationerna har bestått av indirekta undersökningar om prestation och andra direkta undersökningar om individernas självuppfattning.Studien undersökte om direkt och indirekt manipulation påverkade självkänslan i två experiment. I Experiment 1 användes kunskapstest i geografi och i Experiment 2 skulle deltagarna avgöra om positiva eller negativa egenskaper passade dem. Resultatet visade att varken geografikunskaper eller egenskaper påverkade självkänslan.

Work is an important part of the lives of humans, fulfilling several functions; it establishes possibilities to interaction and to feeling as belonging to a context, it gives structure to time and space, creates common goals and it leads to a general well-being in individuals. For the well-being of employees it is essential with recuperation in a pleasant environment where you under relaxing and informal forms have a chance to interact with colleagues. The aim of this study was to investigate to which extent the employees of Tetra Pak Packaging Material AB at Tetra Pak in Lund experience that the informal communication during the coffee-break contributes to their well-being. The aim was also to distinguish if this potential well-being effects how the employees experience how work in general makes them feel. The hypothesis of the study is that the coffee-break effects the well-being in a positive way, and that it has a positive effect on how work in general makes the employees feel.

Trettio kognitivt friska testpersoner (ålder M=31,9 år, utbildning M=16,3 år) testades med både WAIS-III (?Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - third edition?) och WAIS-III NI (?WAIS-III som neuropsykologiskt instrument?) för att undersöka eventuella skillnader i resultat mellan testen. Testpersonerna fick en signifikant ökning vid testning med WAIS-III NI jämfört med testning med WAIS-III på HIK (11,1), VIK (14,7), PIK (3,9), VF (11,4), POI (5,5), AMI (8,8), BK (1,6), LI (3,3), BL (0,6), AR (3,1), SR (1,1), IN (1,5) och FÖ (2,8). Det fanns en signifikant positiv korrelation mellan ålder och hur stor diskrepansen var mellan de olika versionerna för BL (r=0,379, p=0,039) och MA (r=0,413, p=0,023) samt en negativ korrelation mellan ålder och diskrepansen på FÖ (r=-0,422, p=0,020). Det fanns en signifikant negativ korrelation mellan utbildningsnivå och hur stor diskrepansen var mellan de olika versionerna av AR (r=-0,399, p=0,029)..

Precer Group har en patenterad teknologi för förbränning av fasta bränslen, till exempel pellets eller metallbränslen. Tekniken är användbar till bland annat fordon och nu är deras vision är att skapa en ny typ av miljövänligt och bränslesnålt fordon som drivs av fast bränsle. Det kommer att vara ett lättviktsfordon med seriehybriddrivlina. Drivlinan till fordonet kommer att bestå av Precers förbränningsenhet, en värmemotor, generator, batteri, motor controller och en eller flera elmotorer med tillhörande kraftelektronik.Vi har gjort en studie på vilka typer av elmotorer som kan användas för fordonsdrift och jämfört olika lösningar på vilka motorer och controllers som kan passa till fordonet Precer Group kommer att tillverka. Vi har också gjort en bedömning om det kan vara användbart med regenerativ bromsning i fordonet och på vilka sätt tekniken kan implementeras.Den generator vi anser lämpligast till värmemotorn är en borstlös DC-generator då den har hög toppverkningsgrad och en passande karaktäristik för att användas till värmemotorn.

This study aims to provide a picture of how fathers and mothers are produced in judgments regarding child custody and to investigate if any of the parties is aggrieved because of their gender. The material consists of six legal cases. The study is based on gender theory and social construction. It represents a qualitative method where we have used text analysis. The previous research is contradictory as on one hand it shows that there are different criteria related to the parents' gender when it comes to caring for children in both child welfare investigations and the courts.

Syftet med examensarbetet har varit den fortsatta utvecklingen mot en tvåtakts motkolvsmotorsom fungerar med hjälp av HCCI-förbränning. Arbetet har haft två övergripande mål. Det förstahar varit att ta fram en stabil testplatform för motortester genom att förbereda en motorprovcellhos avdelningen för förbränningsmotorteknik på KTH. Det andra delmålet har varit att utnyttjadenna testplatform för att utveckla en repeterbar, pålitlig och jämn tvåtaktsförbränning och sedantesta användandet av HCCI-drift.HCCI-förbränning är fördelaktigt då verkningsgraden är högre än för en ottomotor och utsläppenminskas i jämförelse med en diesel-motor. Nackdelen med användandet av HCCI är attprocessen är svårstyrd.

Using leaching test is a way to get a picture of pollutants retention and leaching in a risk assessment on contaminated land. There are several different types of standardised leaching tests today, where the natural leaching processes are speeded up to make it possible to predict the leaching of pollutants. These leaching tests have been developed for waste and there are no specific guidelines on how to judge the results from the tests, when making a risk assessment on contaminated land. This work is an investigation on how to use leaching test in this type of risk assessments. The strengths and weaknesses of the different types of tests are discussed. Depending on what type of information you want from your leaching test, different types of tests are suitable.

Bakgrund: Munnen kan inte ses som separat från resten av kroppen eftersom munhälsan påverkar den generella hälsan. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa betydelsen av användandet av munbedömningsinstrument för vårdpersonalen. Metod: Allmän litteraturstudie. Resultat: Genom en innehållsanalys framkom de två subkategorierna; Ger möjlighet att upptäcka och Tydliggör fortsatt behov av munbedömning. Dessa ledde till kategorin; Munbedömningsinstrumentet ger struktur.

Inom området psykologisk behandling har intresset för känsloreglering och svårigheter med känsloreglering som gemensam nämnare vid psykisk ohälsa allt mer ökat. Vid behandling enligt Dialektisk Beteendeterapi av Borderline personlighetsstörning har svårigheter med känsloreglering varit en central del, både att i behandling arbeta med för att uppnå ett större fungerande, och i förståelsen av svårigheter hos individer som har fått diagnosen. Vid utvärdering av behandling har dock instrument riktade specifikt mot känsloreglering och eventuella svårigheter saknats. Denna studie har undersökt om frågeformuläret Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) kan användas för detta syfte. Resultatet visar en användarvänlighet av formuläret och signifikanta skillnader i svaren mellan en patientgrupp med diagnosen Borderline personlighetsstörning och en kontrollgrupp.

During the last decades the importance of IT has increased for businesses all over the world. This requires IT-departments to embrace new strategies in order to fulfill these new tougher demands.Lean is a business development concept that aims to lower costs through more effective processes by removing all activities that does not create any value from the end customer?s perspective.

According to the Water Framework Directive of the European Union, macrophytes should be used as indicators in the ecological and environmental monitoring of lakes. In the member state Sweden the Environmental Protection Agency has elaborated assessment criteria for determining lake status based on macrophytes. The main focus of this thesis is to evaluate the efficiency of the assessment criteria for macrophytes. In addition the concordance between the ecological status classes of the four quality factors included was analysed.The assessment criteria for macrophytes are based on the total phosphorus preference of the respective species. The focus is thus mainly on the nutrient level of the investigated lakes and the environmental problem monitored is eutrophication.

The assessing of student texts is an ordinary and important task for teachers, and the purpose of this study is to investigate, analyze and discuss which aspects of writing that particularly have an effect on the assessment of the student texts. The aspects in focus are: contents, genre, text length, paragraphing, sentence structure and choice of words.The data is drawn from six texts in the national test in Swedish for the 9th grade. Thetexts are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively regarding contents as well as language.The results show that the qualities of language influence the assessment more than the qualities of contents. Both word variation index and the number of long words increase in relation to raising marks. Uncommon words are also more frequent in texts which receive higher marks.
