Att konsumera, bidra eller skapa : En studie om deltagande i varumärkesrelaterade aktiviteter på Facebook

This study has researched different Motivations for user participation in brand related activities on social media. The study used three types of participation to evaluate Motivations for user participation. These types were the following: consuming content, contributing to existing content and creating new content. An online questionnaire was distributed on brand Facebook pages and was used as a foundation for two focus group interviews that were then held. The goal of the study was to see what motivates user participation, in order to aid companies and organizations in understanding users.

Today, literature is published in a wide variety of formats, it can be published digitally or in the more traditional paper format or as an audiobook. This thesis aims to take a closer look at fan fiction readers? reading habits and Motivations for reading, as group accustomed to using different kinds of formats for their reading. It does so by analyzing fifteen responses to an online survey using only open-ended questions. The survey was posted online on fan fiction sites and could be answered anonymously.

The intrinsic and extrinsic Motivations that drives open source have been in the subject of much research recently, but how they affect each other when paid and unpaid contributors come together is still hidden in obscurity. In this study I investigate how intrinsic and extrinsic motivation correlates with each other and how those correlations affect paid and unpaid open source software contributors. The literature synthesis is based on of systematic reviews through searches in library databases, identification of articles by searching on the Internet and by reading relevant books. My results indicate that intrinsic and extrinsic Motivations continuously affect each other and that paid contributors are more vulnerable since their extrinsic motivation in terms of money is reached only when many other Motivations are fulfilled.

Design av interaktionsmoment för spelarmotivation

The game industry is growing by every year but for some reason the research surrounding it hasn't caught up with its rapid expansion. This study aims at expanding the knowledge surrounding one of those areas, player Motivations. An empirical model has been used to identify which interaction has the highest impact on player motivation in story-driven roleplaying-games. By conducting semi-structured interviews with eight different game developers using the GameFlow model to explore the use of interactions to sustain the motivation of the player a new criteria has been identified. This additional criteria was: Alive, and it was shown to have a high impact on motivation in story-driven roleplaying-games.

CSR & Etik: En tillämpning av normativ etik på CSR i praktiken

The neo-classical conception of the market place does not provide a framework to account for ethical or moral action. As a result, the neo-classical model is unable to explain the impact of ethical and moral issues on business sustainability present in the modern economy. To address this limitation, this thesis investigates whether theories of ethics can help explain the Motivations and actions of stakeholders within the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In addition, the thesis explores whether theories of ethics are presented differently within aspects of the stakeholder model. Semi - structured interviews were conducted with various stakeholders within the CSR sector, including a NGO, a commercial firm and a CSR consultancy firm.

Involuntary childlessness is a big problem around the world. One way to solve the problem is to receive oocytes or semen from a donor. In Sweden, semen donation has been regulated by law since 1985 and oocyte donation since 2003. The aim of this study was to investigate what Motivations women and men in Sweden have to donate gametes, if they feel any ambivalence to donate, and to compare if there is any difference in motivation and ambivalence between women and men. Motivation was measured with eight statements based on previous results and clinical experience.

These kind of events rely on volunteers to even be able to manage the pressure from the arrangement. Tidigare forskning har visat på att det finns en del brister inom bemanningsbranschen som inte finns inom traditionella, stationära, arbetsplatser. Många av dessa brister kunde sammankopplas till Herzbergers et. al. (1999) tvåfaktorsteori på vilken undersökningen främst baserades.

The purpose of this essay is to describe and analyze experiences of how the daily rounds and a persons role is changing when you go from being a family member to being a family member as well as being a kinship carer.Essential questions at issue was:- Which feelings are associated to the roll as kinship carer?- What are the Motivations for the relative/family member to become a kinship carer?- What is the change of the role like before and after the disease.Six persons have been interviewed on the subject and symbolic interactionism and role theory has been our theoretical perspective. The essay has been related to the ideas of Meads on social interaction and to Goffmans theatre theorem.The result of the essay showed that feelings and Motivations as regards to the daily rounds and the role of the kinship carer were individual, where similarities and differences occurred. When ones partner, parent or child got a disease/functional disability it generated in some changes regarding their daily rounds and it led to altering of roles. To assume a role was a natural result and often happened when a relative/family member got a disease or an injury..

Motivations- och problemfaktorer vid införandet av Web Services i svenska företag

Från litteraturen påverkar införandet av Web Services hos 25 storföretag och 3 myndigheter i Sverige. Undersökningen utfördes genom en enkät där Motivations- och problemfaktorerna indelades i tre kategorier: innovation, organisation och miljö/omgivning och dessa graderades sedan på en femgradig skala. Den viktigaste kategorin enligt respondenterna var organisation. Dessutom lämnades möjlighet till att lämna egna faktorer och kommentarer. Inom kategorin innovation graderade respondenterna som högsta Motivationsfaktorn att Web Services fungerar bra ihop med kommande standarder och som näst viktigast faktorn fördelar med plattformsoberoende.

SAMMANFATTNING Nivå: Magisteruppsats i företagsekonomi, juni, 2005 Författare: Birgitta Bos Anna Cedergren Handledare: Jörgen Eksell Filippa Säwe Problem: Då frontpersonalen har den största påverkan över en gästs totala upplevelse av sin vistelse på ett hotell är det av yttersta vikt att ledningen får receptionisterna att ge god service och framförallt ge det lilla extra. Motivations- samt belöningssystem är två faktorer att arbeta med i syfte att uppnå ovannämnda. Ett problem idag är att Motivations- samt belöningssystem inte är tillräckligt anpassade till hospitalitybranschen dit hotell tillhör. Syfte: Syftet med denna undersökning är att utvidga förståelsen för vilka Motivationsfaktorer som uppmuntrar värdskapet och gästfriheten i interaktionen med gästen. Avsikten är att utifrån detta undersöka om det finns en kongruens mellan befintliga belöningssystem och det frontpersonalen finner motiverande.

Vad motiverar strokepatienten?

Stroke är en av vår tids stora folksjukdomar och medför i regel en plötslig och omskakande förändring både för patienten själv samt för närstående. Rehabiliteringen efter en stroke innebär återuppbyggnad och anpassning av fysiska, sociala samt emotionella aspekter av individens liv. Sjuksköterskans förmåga att motivera patienten är grundläggande för optimering av stroke-patientens rehabiliteringsmöjligheter. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att kartlägga strokepatientens Motivationsfaktorer till rehabilitering samt undersöka hur sjuksköterskan använder sig av motivation i omvårdnads- och rehabiliterings-arbetet. För att undersöka ämnet utfördes en litteraturstudie baserad på kvalitativa forskningsrapporter.

Talk the talk and walk the walk? -A study of the dissonance between the consumers? attitudes and actual behaviour towards local produce-

A debate on environmental issues and food safety has been ongoing in Sweden and it is suggested that consumers' are seeking local produce instead of global and exotic foods. Moreover, studies show that the consumers? positive attitude towards local produce does not reflect their actions. The purpose with this thesis is to contribute to a better understanding of the dissonance between the consumer?s attitudes and actual behaviour towards local produce.
