In this study a case study was conducted at the Transport Agency. The government agency is seeking better alternatives to its current ways of keeping track of important dates stated in legal documents. The agency wants to explore the possibility for an IT-solution for keeping track on those dates. In the case study change analysis was conducted on the vehicle type approval process. Qualitative interviews were conducted with a section manager, vehicle type and component approvers, and with a system administrator and a system manager at the Transport Agency in Borlänge.

Mechanical ventilation is the most common type ofventilation in newly constructed office buildings. Therehas been an interest to utilize natural ventilationinstead of mechanical ventilation among architects andHVAC consultants in recent years. This is due to thesize of mechanical ventilation systems, which arespace consuming. The mechanical ventilation system isalso complex and requires maintenance. Furthermore,the fan uses a considerable amount of energy.

Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att kartlägga hur belöningssystem utvecklas i företag under stark tillväxt. För att uppnå vårt huvudsyfte har vi identifierat följande delsyften: Hur såg belöningssystemen ut i Framfab och Telelogic under deras tillväxtår? Vad var syftet med belöningssystemens utformning? Vilken effekt hade de på företagen? Kan belöningssystemen på något sätt ha medverkat till företagens plötsliga nedgång?Vi har valt att undersöka vårt syfte genom att göra en kvalitativ studie på två fallföretag. Denna studie genomförde vi genom djupintervjuer med olika personer med anknytning till företagen. Slutsatser Framfab och Telelogic gjorde misstaget att tro att det fanns ett enkelt samband mellan belöning, motivation och prestation.

ABB I-R Waterjet Systems combines the robotics and motion expertise of ABB Flexible Automation with high-pressure intensifier/pumping technology from Ingersoll-Rand to provide and continue to develop innovative waterjet cutting systems for global markets. The purpose of this assignment is to develop a process water purifier. The purifier should be applicable as an option to ABB I-R?s production cell Cutting-Box. At first hand the process water should be purified well enough to let out in the municipal sewage system, but the ultimate solution is purifying the process water to the range that recycling is possible. When investigating the different principle of purifying water, a research of different products and their manufactories was done. These different products were compared and the principle of filtration was the most applicable, as most of the products were designed for far larger applications. As the process water contains quite large amount of particles, it is necessary to perform the filtration in different steps. The process water purifier is therefore composed of a module of coarse filtration and one of micro filtration. In the module of coarse filtration the mainly amount of fibres and particles are eliminated. They are kept back in the container unit with the larger fragments and dumped with these when the container is emptied. In the module of micro filtration the filtration is performed in two steps. In the first step particles larger than 50?m are eliminated, in the second step the micro filter is setting the range of purifying, in this case 10?m.

?Upplevelserummet- hur rummet påverkar elevers motivation till kreativt skapande? är mitt examensarbete på Institutionen för Musik och medier på Luleå tekniska universitet.I bakgrunden ges läsaren en orientering i begreppet upplevelserummet samt olika motivations- och kreativitetsteorier. Där redogörs även för waldorfpedagogiken, Goethes färglära och den antroposofisk arkitekturen, allt i syfte att låta läsaren förstå hela uppsatsens kontext.Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att skapa kunskap om upplevelserummets betydelse för skolelever i årskurs åtta utifrån begreppen kreativitet och motivation.Jag har genomfört min forskning utifrån en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med litteraturstudier och semistrukturerade intervjuer som forskningsverktyg. Jag har i studien intervjuat åtta elever i åldrarna 14-15 år på en waldorfskola i Stockholm.Resultatet av intervjuerna är uppdelat i tre huvudrubriker med tema upplevelserummet, kreativitet och motivation. Datan från intervjuerna pekar mot att upplevelserummet har ett eget värde oberoende av interaktionen mellan andra elever och lärare.

During the autumn 2009, a 15 hp degree project was accomplished. The objective of the study was to describe different equipment alternatives, suitable for fresh market apple harvest. A field study was conducted during the harvest period to evaluate the efficiency (kg / person/ hour), using the different equipment. Four different systems are described in the study; Pick-ing-bag, Picking-train, Pluk-O-Trak and the Conveyor Harvester. The information about the systems is based on interviews with growers together with previous studies.

Uppsalahem is the leading housing corporation in Uppsala with its over 160 real estate properties. Uppsalahem is owned by the municipality of Uppsala, which has a climate and energy goal that aims for 100 MW of solar energy to be installed in Uppsala by 2030. The 100 MW goal, combined with Uppsalahem?s environmental policy, is a strong incentive to investigate the possibility of installing PV modules on the many available roof areas that Uppsalahem possesses. The objective of this thesis is to create a foundation for future decisions regarding PV systems for Uppsalahem.

The purpose of this thesis is to assist the Swedish energy company NIBE Energy Systems in their studies of adaptive regulation applicable to electrical water heaters. Due to coming energy classifications of these appliances in the European Union, NIBE Energy Systems needs to use adaptive regulation, called Smart Control, to keep their products in the best possible energy class and remain competitive to the market. By using this Smart Control regulation a 2-3 % improve-ment of efficiency can be credited the system. This is a small number, but heavily needed, since the energy classes are based on the idea that the European Union is provided with electricity from coal condensate power resulting in a 40 % maximum efficiency. Furthermore, doing noth-ing will result in some water heaters not being approved to use on the market from 2015 due to low efficiency.

The purpose of our study was to examine 13 to 14 year olds experience of bullying from a perspective of human developmental ecological systems. The questions at issue were: How do the young people themselves define the concept of bullying? Which own experiences do the young people have of bullying? How come bullying exists according to the young people? How do the young people experience that their surroundings view bullying? What do the young people consider that you can do about bullying? We used a qualitative method to collect and handle our primary empirical data. We did individual interviews with ten young people.The results of our study shows that the majority of the persons interviewed thought people bully because they have bad home conditions and that they are unsure of them selves. Many of the young people talked about three different groups in a school class: The popular, the less popular and the nerds.

This paper describes the evolutionary development of an information system for a small company. The company performs overhaul of forklifts and cleaning machines. The company has already an information system that handles the reports from these overhauls but it needs a supplementary tool that assist the chief planner to plan forthcoming overhauls.It should be able to display coming overhauls in a timetable and eventually print them, either to a PDF file or to a document. The timetables this function produces will help the chief planner and the assemblers to get a good overview of their day-to-day work.The tool needs to be intelligent in that way that it takes into consideration were in the country different assignments will be performed. So that time consuming travels over great distances can be avoided.

This report is about how HDR (HighDynamicRange) can be created and used in combination with Tone mapping. This work has been carried out together with Kapsch TrafficCom AB in Jönköping.The objective of this project is to:Evaluate and investigate the effects given to pictures by HDR and tone mapping.Evaluate if the technology may lead to improvements in Kapsch?s systems.To construct a program which is able to handle some form of tone mapping or HDR-algorithm.These questions will be answered in this report:What kind of effects has HDR and tone mapping-algorithms on pictures?Can the HDR-technology give better data in Kapsch?s systems?The research method used in this report is called action research. This means the authors has investigated the technology by reading different documentations and by testing different algorithms to see what kind of result they give. The report describes some of the tests made to see if the technology is appropriate in Kapsch?s system.There is two smaller reports made by the authors which documenting some of the work.The first report describes the work with different settings for a camera to create pictures with HDR-quality.

This report has explored how to design and develop an ordering system for television and DOOH commercials. Usability theories have been considered and also guidlines for system devoloping, this includes the making of a PACT analysis and a demand specifcation. To ensure that the users of the systems are in focus a pre studie has been performed on location of the company which is the intended user of the system. Finally an interactive prototype of an orderingsystem has been created to illustrate the functions and tools which the fnal product should have..

Studien har i syfte att undersöka entreprenörers attityder och upplevelser till skärpta säkerhetskravvid Oskarshamns kärnkraftverk (OKG). Undersökningen är en kvalitativ studie som utförts isamarbete med OKG och Högskolan i Halmstad. Studiens empiri är baserad på 12 kvalitativaintervjuer med entreprenörer som arbetar i de zoner där de passerar flertalet säkerhetskontroller inomOKGs anläggning. Studien baseras även på observationer av olika karaktär. Den teoretiskareferensram som präglat studien har främst varit Giddens (1996) teori kring modernitet samtmotivations teorier med psykologiska inslag, i vilka motivation och förståelse varit centrala begrepp.Informationen kring säkerhetsrutiner har av respondenterna ansetts bristfällig vilket påvisat enoförståelse till säkerhetsåtgärderna.

Reducing costs will also help maintain business competitiveness.Scania in Södertälje is a company where the optimization of energy use is an ongoing and continual process. One area with potential to make energy and cost savings is the effectiveness of the ventilation systems in offices and industrial premises at Scania. During the summer months an increased demand for cooling occurs, leading to increased ventilation and a peak in district cooling system usage. Sorptive cooling is a technology where the supplied air is cooled by applying external heat.
