I vårt examensarbete undersöker vi olika typer av motivation. Vårt syfte med arbetet var att undersöka lärares syn motivation samt elevers egen motivation i skolan. De frågeställningar vi utgick från var: 1. Vilken typ av motivation har elever i år 4 och år 5? 2.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka och skildra några studenters motiv, motivation och upplevelser kring högre studier. I bakgrunden ingår forskning kring studentidentiteter (Bron m. fl., 2013), men efter hand tillkommer andra begrepp och teorier som bidrar till att belysa undersökningsmaterialet. Studien är grundad på kvalitativ metod, med semistrukturerade intervjuer av sex studenter i åldrarna 25-30 år. Resultatet av de sex studenterna redovisas som personporträtt, där både likheter och skillnader mellan studenternas motiv, motivation och upplevelser i relation till högre studier framgår.

In order to broaden the understanding of work motivation the aim of the study was to compare how three different teams within the same organization constructed motivation. The three teams consisted of post sorters, team leaders and mailmen. Three focus group interviews were conducted with three men and eight women. The interviews were transcribed verbatim and thematically analysed with QSR NUD*IST. The result showed both similarities and differences in the construction of work motivation in the three teams.

AbstractThe aim of our study was that from a Preschool Manager?s perspective to describe, analyze and understand the function of special education and the Special Education Teacher?s profession within preschools. We conducted twelve interviews with Preschool Managers in two northern Swedish municipalities. From a theoretical base, we used both the relational and categorical perspectives. All answers from these interviews have been analyzed from these perspectives.

Earlier research has shown that combining education with entertainment can improve students motivation in school. With this study we aim to learn more about interactive digital learning resources and how they should be designed to entertain and thereby contribute to motivation. We have identified aspects of educational games that also could be considered when developing interactive digital learning resources, to make them more entertaining and motivating. We have chosen to study and evaluate an interactive digital learning resource called ?Grasp the Disaster?, a fictional online adventure created for students in the ages between 13-15.

This thesis examines how a jury on an artistic education adopts next year's students to a BA program at an art school. My intention is to explore how we established artists who are involved in education as professors, teachers (or students) in art education affects who will be released to the exclusive educational path as an art school represents our work in the admissions jury. AimOur aim with this study was to examine how outdoor education is designed and experienced in three upper (senior) levels of compulsory school in Stockholm, and to compare it with the Norwegian equivalence.MethodOur method has been interviews with ten teachers, of whom six are Swedish teachers and four are Norwegian teachers. Two Swedish teachers are teaching in other subjects than Physical Education, four are teachers in Physical Education, two are teachers in Norway in Physical Education at and two are teachers in Norway at university level. Questionnaires were used to examine the Swedish pupils? attitudes towards outdoor education. 90 questionnaires were delivered, and 70 answered them.

Den här studien handlar om arbetsmotivation på två äldreboenden i Gävleborgs län. Vi gjorde en jämförelse mellan ett privat äldreboende och ett kommunalt äldreboende för att undersöka hur arbetsmotivation diskuteras på enheterna. Syftet med studien var att se om det fanns skillnader mellan det privata och det kommunala boendet samt mellan chef och medarbetare i definitionen arbetsmotivation. För att få svar på våra frågor använde vi oss av en kvalitativ semistrukturerad intervjuform. Det vi i huvudsak kom fram till var att arbetskamraterna, de boende och att prestera bra var de mest framträdande faktorerna till arbetsmotivation.

My purpose for this essay is to examine what factors are considered to have high influence on motivation to study and what measures can be taken to enhance student?s motivation to study from a student perspective. The main source of theory for this study has been the classification of motivational factors that has been based on Herzberg?s twofactortheory with complementary theoretical sources. The study is based around two research methods, one survey together with complementary student interviews. The empirical material consists of 118 completed surveys together with nine student interviews. The study?s results have found that students find the main source of rising motivational level originates from the professional role of the teacher. Additionally the students find the main source of subsiding motivational level originate from rising level of stress and uninspiring teachers.

Research shows that there is a lack of knowledge of adult students with ADHD. Most of all research focuses on children with ADHD in school. The purpose of this study was to gain a better understanding of how adult learners with ADHD experience academic studies related to cognitive difficulties, emotion, motivation, and their experience of SOC. The questions tried to determine how any cognitive difficulties and emotions are perceived, how students' motivation to study impacted and their experience of SOC based on studies in higher education. To answer the purpose and questions used qualitative interviews based on three students with ADHD using a hermeneutic method.

According to the Swedish curriculum the education should establish respect for human rights and democratic values (Skolverket, 2011, s.7). The purpose of this study is to investigate how five first grade teachers understand the democracy education and how they practice it in reality. I have, based on the purpose of this study issued following questions:What is the teachers interpretation of the democracy education? How does the teachers work with democracy in practice?What difficulties does the teachers see with the democracy education?This study is made through a qualitative method based on interviews with five teachers. The results show that the teachers at both schools, despite the different definitions of the concept of democracy, yet interprets democracy education relatively equal.

En studie om motivation bland lärare och elever på byggprogrammet..

Studiens syfte är att utveckla kunskap om lärares motivation till användning av digitalteknik i undervisningen. Ämnet belyses genom frågeställningarna; Vilken förståelse har lärare för den digitala teknikens roll i undervisningen? och Vilka aspekter påverkar lärarnas motivation till användning av digitalteknik i undervisningen? I studien deltar fem verksamma lärare som undervisar i årskurs 1-6. Utifrån semistrukturerade kvalitativa intervjuer beskrivs och kategoriseras aspekter som påverkar lärarnas motivation till att använda digitalteknik i undervisningen.   Studien visar att tvetydighet präglar lärarnas förståelse för den digitala tekniken. Lärarna uppvisar en förståelse för teknikens möjligheter och utnyttjar den för personlig utveckling och som informationsbank.Det framkommer dock inte lika frekvent att den digitala tekniken används i undervisningssituationen.   Det är flera aspekter som påverkar lärarnas drivkraft att använda digitalteknik i undervisningen.

This study aim to investigate the conditions framing the professional development situation for physical education teachers (PE) in a small municipality in the south of Sweden. The Swedish National Agency for Education declare that "focus must be directed towards strengthening the teachers' profession", and that "schools need well-trained teachers and good teaching to help students achieve good results". The study focuses both the schools? contribution and the way in which the teachers take own initiative and are motivated to develop their professional skills. The investigation is all based on teachers' perspectives.

Syftet var att kartlägga hur pedagogen kan öka elevernas motivation för ämnet matematik. Kartläggningen ägde rum i år fyra, sju och nio samt med pedagoger från tre olika skolor i Bodens kommun hösten 2004. Avsikten var att hitta de faktorer som påverkar elevers motivation och vad man som pedagog kan göra för att öka motivationen för ämnet matematik. Vi använde oss av enkätundersökningar för att få en så bred bild av helheten som möjligt. Resultatet av undersökningen tyder på att eleverna är beroende av hur man som enskild individ mår, omgivningen, bemötande, eget intresse, pedagogens engagemang, individanpassning, läromedel och lektionens utformning.
