When investigating mechanical problems it is often more convenient to deal with scalars rather than vectors. In this project methods stemming from the field of analytical mechanics, which lets one derive the equations of motion using scalar quantities instead of vectors, have been used. The equations of motion of the two systems were derived with the assistance of computer algebra, using Maple and the external package Sophia. Do ceramics have to be static? This was the question that spurred me into this work, and what kept me working on to achieve the possibility of motion in my ceramic objects. By combining the knowledge gained through my former education as an avionics technician with my interest in the ancient ceramic craft, I strive to create kinetic ceramic handicraft suitable for interaction with an audience.By a series of different phases I slowly go from understanding what kind of motion I want my objects to have, to actually realizing this motion in three-dimensional objects. Through the use of simple models made from corrugated fiberboard followed by more advanced plaster models, combined with different complementary materials such as bicycle inner-tubing and recycled aluminium cans among many others, I, through a vast series of testing, slowly build up a knowledge base later applied to the ceramic objects.The result is for me a success; I have found a way for me to combine ceramics with mechanics. AbstractThe purpose of my study is to compare Sten Rydhs wiew of learning disabilities in mathematics and his education with current literature and research. I want to explore whether the education of ?Mattesmedjan?*, influenced by the Suzuki method, can be the solution for the students with maths problems. ?Mattesmedjan? is a privately-owned school of maths.

My essay begins with a story in which I portray different communicative situations at the preschool unit Myran. The children in my story are at an early stage of development and they all suffer from multiple disabilities which inhibit their ways of communicating. Through my story, I describe how I perceive different communication dilemmas in my work place. A difficulty I cover in my essay is how the educator knows if he or she has interpreted a child correctly when it does not have a verbal communication and therefore is completely dependent on the educators? interpretations of its communication efforts.

Alla människor behöver aktivera sig fysiskt och motionera på ett eller annat sätt. Men för att kunna motionera krävs det att motivation finns. Forskning har visat att motivation går att dela in i framförallt två former, det är inre motivation och yttre motivation. Den senare formen finns i fyra olika grader. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka vad som upplevdes motivera till motion hos medlemmar på Friskis & Svettis.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka vad killar och tjejer, som går andra året pågymnasiet, har för attityd till Idrott och hälsa och i vilken utsträckning läraren påverkar attityder. Uppsatsen behandlar även om skolämnet Idrott och hälsa kan verka som ett verktyg för regelbunden motion. Undersökningen är genomförd på en skola där enkät och intervjuer ligger till grund för det empiriska materialet. Resultatet av studien visar att majoriteten av eleverna är positiva till ämnet samt att läraren har en stor inverkan för vilken attityd eleverna har till ämnet. Ett visst könsmönster går att urskilja när det gäller lektionsinnehållet, trots att detta inte efterfrågades av oss i enkäten.

AbstractThe aim of the study was to examine how a school team works with formative assessment in compulsory school for pupils with intellectual disabilities. The study had a particular focus on formative assessment in relation to pupils with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities. Since there is a lack of research within the field of formative assessment and pupils with moderate and severe disabilities this study may contribute to new knowledge in this field. A sociocultural perspective has been used as a theoretical framework. A central concept in the sociocultural perspective is that people develop knowledge in interaction with other people and that communication and language is important.  The methodical framework was inspired by an ethnographic approach and the empirical material was concocted by participatory observations and by interviews.

Det framkommer också att de kan dansa med icke-rörelsehindrade elever och ta del av den sociala gemenskapen samt att inlärningsförmågan och kunskapsnivån höjs.

Många faktorer har påvisats påverka individers hälsa. I denna studie undersöktes huruvida motion, Kasam och socialt stöd har betydelse för välbefinnandet i form av uppskattad hälsa, upplevd stress-energinivå och rapporterad sjukskrivning. Även köns- och ålderskillnader studerades. En enkät med frågor om sjukskrivning, motion, upplevd hälsa, upplevd stress-energi, Kasam och socialt stöd delades ut till 113 deltagare från tre olika arbetsplatser. Resultaten visade att Kasam hade positiva samband med hälsa, stress-energi och socialt stöd.

Detta kandidatarbete fokuserar på att undersöka aspekter som kan förstärka en användares upplevelse inom digitala spel. De aspekter som vi valt att fokusera på är användandet av Oculus Rift och Motion Capture då de tar upp viktiga punkter som Virtual Reality, närvaro och inlevelse i spel. Vi valde även att fokusera vår produktion mot skräckgenren då detta är ett område vi båda har stor passion för i diverse media. I vårt arbete har vi fått fram en hypotes om att spel som fokuserar på att lämna karaktären i ett tomt skal (ingen personlighet), lämnar en större chans för inlevelse hos spelaren då användarens egna känslor speglas på karaktären. Användandet av Oculus Rift och realistiska röresler via Motion Capture har en tendens att även stärka detta..

Syftet var att undersöka individers motivation till och upplevelse av motion, vad som leder tillavbrott i ett motionsprogram, upplevda hinder till motion, vilka strategier de somupprätthåller sina motionsvanor använder för att överkomma dessa hinder samt om deanvänder målsättningar för sitt motionerande. Bakgrundsvariablerna var kön, ålder,erfarenhet, träningsfrekvens och barndomshistorik. Ett kvantitativt formulär delades ut vidolika träningsanläggningar och arbetsplatser. Försökspersonerna (N = 166) var: Män (N =100) och Kvinnor (N = 66), Yngre Vuxna 16 - 29 år (N = 82), Medelålders 30 - 44 år (N = 56)och Äldre Vuxna 45 - 66 år (N = 27), Nybörjare (N = 24) och Erfarna (N = 142), Lågaktiva(N = 81) och Högaktiva (N = 85), Aktiva (N = 82) och Inaktiva föräldrar (N = 84) samtAktiva (N = 134) eller Icke Aktiva (N = 32) i organiserad barn/ungdomsidrott underuppväxten. Det vanligaste motivet till att träna var att förbättra konditionen och den vanligasteupplevelsen var att träning var ett verktyg till att hålla sig i form.

A QUALITATIVE STUDY ON THE EXPERIENCE OF ESCORT SERVICE UNDER THE ACT (SFS 1993:387) SUPPORT AND SERVICE FOR THE DISABLED The purpose of this study was to examine the experiences of escort service under the Act (SFS 1993:387) concerning Support and Service for the disabled (LSS) for self-determination, participation and equality of living conditions. In the results of this study appears that the escort service fulfills its role in breaking the isolation of persons with disabilities. It gives a picture of the escort service is much more than to break the isolation of people with disabilities. The aspects that emerges is that escort service gives persons with disabilities the opportunity to develop their independence, increase their self-esteem and broaden their frames of reference through increased participation in community life. All users report that they experience autonomy in the choice and order of activities within their grant initiatives.

In 1990 the education training program for teachers working with children with special needs was changed. One major difference in the new program compared with the former one is that the specialized teacher is now mainly supposed to supervise teachers instead of teaching pupils who have learning difficulties. The aim of this qualitative interview study has been to find out what the specialized teachers think about there education, and how this could influence children with cognitive disabilities in special schools. I have interviewed six teachers who specialized in teaching pupils with cognitive disabilities. Three of them where educated prior to 1990 and the others were educated after 1990.
