Enligt skollag och läroplan har skolan två huvuduppgifter, att ?ge eleverna kunskaper och färdigheter? och att ?främja deras harmoniska utveckling till ansvarskännande människor". Att i praktiskt arbete i klassrummet genomföra dessa båda uppgifter är ofta svårt. Av tradition dominerar kunskaps- och färdighetskraven skolans arbete och stödet för att utveckla arbetet kring värdegrundsfrågor har länge varit eftersatt.Under läsåret 2004-2005 har jag tillsammans med mina elever i årskurs tre arbetat med samtal kring moral och etik. Våra samtal har utgått från litteratur och film.

The purpose of this study is to use a qualitative approach to highlight the western involvement in Thai orphanages and, on basis of Western moral development workers and volunteers, enlighten how Western colonial heritage can be recreated in the humanitarian economic aid.The study is based on the recent tsunami disaster in 2004 which led to a huge voluntary effort by Western volunteers and organizations who wanted to rebuild the country. Now, seven years after the disaster, the country has recovered well and thanks to a strong turism, and industrial growth, the country has now reached the position of a middle income country with regional power.The study presents a selection of previous ressearch in the area from different critical perspectives. It is a field study based on qualitative interviews with six informants that highlights the individual engagment in humanitarian assistance. Theories based on Post-colonialism and globalization have been used in order to analyze and reach the result of this study..

The purpose of this paper has been to explore how Internet is perceived, with reference to youth, risk and responsibility, by a section of the population in North-West Skåne in Sweden. The questions central to our area of interest were:- Where does the responsibility for a safe Internet environment lie?- What measures are believed to be able to make Internet safer?- Are the opinions about safety on the Internet affected by an individual'sknowledge and experience of the Internet?- Is there an awareness of which institutions are involved in Internet safety?We compared the results of our survey with earlier surveys done by SAFT and Eurobarometern. Additionally we compared various categories such as gender and age to discover any patterns within the groups.There is a clear conflict in the answers given by the group we studied, between the desire to have access to all the information and experiences Internet has to offer and the desire to protect youth from inappropriate content and/or influences from unknown sources. While we did find concern regarding issues of safety we did not find any indication of "moral panic"..

Jag har genomfört en enkätstudie om högstadielärares kunskaper i hållbar utveckling, hur de förmedlar kunskap/undervisar på tre högstadieskolor. Det var 21 lärare som svarade på enkäterna. Dessutom "medgav" 13 lärare att de inte hade kunskap om hållbar utveckling. Nästan alla lärarna var emot att ha hållbar utveckling som eget ämne med egen kursplan eftersom hållbarhet och viss miljökunskap kommer in i undervisningen naturligt i fråga om vad som är rätt/fel, etik/moral och vid diskussioner kring konsumtion och sophantering där respekten för naturen finns med. Lärarnas metoder för att få in hållbar utveckling i de olika ämnena var många och vissa briljanta.

Ett dilemma för småföretagare i allmänhet och kvinnliga i synnerhet är att få tiden att räcka till. Studien syftar till att redovisa utfallet av kvinnliga småföretagares arbetstidanvändning dels avseende tid och plats, dels utifrån de tre kategorierna: Administration & Ekonomi, Marknadsföring samt Innovation. Genom att fem kvinnliga småföretagare har fyllt i tidsgeografisk dagbok, har en mätning gjorts av hur de använder sin arbetstid. Tidsgeografisk dagbok är en metod som använts av deltagarna genom att de dokumenterat sin arbetstid med hjälp av koder.Resultatet av studien visar att kvinnorna spenderar merparten av arbetstid på kontoret under dagtid och att fyra av dem arbetade deltid. Mest arbetstid lade de inom området marknadsföring.Slutsatsen av studien är att kvinnorna arbetade deltid, vilket inte stämmer överens med den schablonbild som finns av småföretagare, nämligen den att småföretagare arbetar mycket och oftast mer än heltid..

The aim of this study is to illuminate social worker?s perception of social class within the Swedish social service system. This study therefor examine if social class contributes to the production and reproduction of the client and what impact social class has on the interaction between client and social workers. The study was conducted with qualitative semi-structured interviews with social workers from three different departments of social service. The theoretical approach is Yeheskel Hasenfeld?s theory about moral practices in welfare organisations, Michael Lipsky and Roine Johansson?s theories about client construction and Pierre Bourdieu?s class theory.

Den här studien vill synliggöra problematiken kring hanteringen av lärarnas olika roller.För att undersöka problematiken och hanteringen av lärarnas olika roller används en kvalitativ metod där det empiriska materialet är sex intervjuer. För att kunna analysera och förstå det informanterna visar på används teori som berör problematiken.

The following essay examines if five Swedish textbooks aimed for religious studies in upper secondary school might show similar flaws to those presented by the Swedish Schools Inspectorate in their review of religious studies conducted in 2012. The method used in this essay is a qualitative study of Swedish textbooks influenced by Lantz definition of wide and thin ethics. This in practice means that I have analysed the five Swedish textbooks using thin and broad ethics while conducting the analysis of the five. The purpose of the essay was to see if the flaws presented in ?Mer än vad du kan tro? regarding ethics and moral education might be present in Swedish textbooks as well.

Finns det värdefakta? Kan vi ha kunskap i moralfrågor? Finns det över huvud taget rätt och fel i moralfrågor? Med dessa frågor i bakhuvudet vill författaren undersöka ett vanligt argument mot moralisk realism i allmänhet, och Michael Huemers variant av moralisk realism i synnerhet. Detta antirealistiska argument säger att det är så pass vanligt med oenigheter i moralfrågor och att den bästa förklaringen till detta är att moralen är subjektiv. Argumentet säger vidare att etiken lider av bristande konvergens beträffande upplösta etiska oenigheter över tid, jämfört med exempelvis naturvetenskapen. Detta faktum verkar, menar vissa antirealister, ytterligare tala emot att det existerar värdefakta.

I denna uppsats beskrivs situationen för mångbesökarna inom missbruks- och beroendevården. Kvalitativt intervjumaterial belyser upplevelser och erfarenheter som rör deras beroendeproblematik. De bär alla på någon form av samsjuklighet och återkommer till psykiatriska intensiv- och akutmottagningen för avgiftning på sjukhus. Att hitta sätt att avlasta den mentala smärtan är ledande genom berättelserna tillsammans med uttalade behov av att bli lyssnade på och av att bli tagna på allvar. Genom makt att påverka sin situation och kraft att förändra den i gemenskap med andra kan de lindra sin ohälsa.

Politicians attract their voters by promising more jobs and investment in education, health and social care. Against this background, I wonder how the situation of artists will be affected by the followingquestions:? What political views on the artist's position in society appeared in propositions of Socialdemokraterna and Moderaterna?? In what way did these propositions influence the conditions of artists?? How have the artists of Värmland been affected by different (Socialdemokraterna and Moderaterna) cultural policies? With my investigation I find out more about the artists' conditions on a national level, but I also investigate the situation in Värmland. By examining policy proposals and reports, I learn more about the issues. I also conduct a survey and three in-depth interviews to obtain opinions from various sources.The respondents are the cultural departments of Värmland and representatives from cultural organizations.What is clear from my research is that politicians differ on some issues, especially those relating to commercialism and artist salaries.

In the following study I probe the social world of hard-rock music. By conducting interviews with four young male enthusiasts of this music I try to develop a general picture of this social world, as well as of the basic elements on which this particular subculture is constructed. The identity of a hard-rocker is based upon a number of factors beyond just a preference for that music. Throughout the interviews I encountered many implicit norms that one must followed in order to be able to see oneself as a true hard-rocker. I also found that from the respondents? perspective, the mainstream culture has, throughout the history of metal music, used various ways to counter the spreading of this genre.
