This thesis project focuses on the need for better tools for analyzing competition for forest fuels in Sweden, in particular how policy measures may influence the market and involved actors in different regions of Sweden. Raw materials from the forest have for long constituted important inputs in the Swedish forest industry. Today some of these raw materials are increasingly used as inputs also in bioenergy production, largely driven by bioenergy promoting policies, and there are signs of increased competition for forest fuels which may have various and uncertain effects on the industries in question. The thesis project explores the possibilities to adapt previously used forest sector equilibrium models into a new model suitable for analysis of Swedish forest fuel markets, called the Swedish Forest Sector Trade Model (SFSTM). The approach takes into account regional differences in supply and demand for 23 types of products produced and/or used by eight types of producers, plus consumers, in five different regions (four Swedish and one international).

In the rate of changes condition of the market in shape of increasing competitiveness situation, local as global, this leads to that logistics has to be developed in the same rate. Logistics has been developed from the military and after the war, logistics was figurative to the companies transport- and store problems. After this, logistics had been divided up into four different time phases (the seventies to the 21:th century). All these time phases have together develop the spectacle and focus of the logistics today. Afterward further developing of the logistics approach to Supply Chain Management (SCM) and afterward SCM, Demand Chain Management (DCM) was developed in aim to secure that the right products were manufactured on the basis of the end customers real requirement and wishes.This paper is taking the aim and problem formulation as a starting point.

Extensive cattle management was reintroduced in Sweden during the 1950´s and 60´s. Usually this term refers to suckler cows for meat production that is kept outdoors all year around. Suckler cow farms tend to become fewer but bigger over time. Still however most of the farms with beef cows are small. Extensive animal husbandry can lead to animals becoming shy which leads to difficulties when they are handled due to veterinary treatments, marking, transport etc.

Projektet har undersökt potentialen av nya solfångarinstallationer i Stockholmsområdet. Behoven, platsen och byggnaden som har använts för beräkningarna har varit baserade på Sollentuna sjukhus. Målet var att undersöka vilken typ av solfångarsystem som är mest ekonomiskt och energimässigt lönsam. Dessutom har flödesscheman för solfångarsystemen skapats och inkluderas med en grundläggande styrning.Värmen från en solfångarinstallation kan användas inom flera olika områden. Den kan exempelvis värma upp tappvarmvattnet i en byggnad, skapa komfortkyla eller ingå i ett elkraftverk.

Transportstyrelsen vars verksamhetsidé är att "utveckla ett tillgängligt transportsystem med hänsyn till säkerhet, miljö och hälsa", blev den 1 januari 2011 till stor del avgiftsfinansierad istället för anslagsfinansierad. Målet är att de olika transportslagen inom Transportstyrelsens verksamhet ska få mer lika villkor, och att avgifterna ska finansiera verksamheten.Då finansieringsförändringen ovan innebär ökade kostnader för transportbolagen är syftet med denna uppsats att analysera och utvärdera tänkbara förändringar i pris och utbud och därefter utvärdera hur detta påverkar efterfrågan på bussresor och därigenom samhället. Eftersom transportsektorn till stor del finansieras av subventioner ämnar vi även att undersöka hur ett borttagande eller minskande av dessa kan påverka pris och utbud för att sedan utvärdera efterföljande förändringar i efterfrågan på bussresor och hur samhället därmed skulle påverkas.Utifrån teori om efterfrågan på transport och efter genomförda tester och utvärderingar av olika kombinationer av relevanta förklaringsvariabler valdes en efterfrågemodell för den lokala och regionala kollektivtrafiken med förklaringsvariablerna biljettpris, utbudet av resor, befolkningens storlek och resor i föregående period. Denna modell användes för att analysera förändringar i pris, utbud och därmed efterfrågan av bussresor till följd av både avgiftsinförandet samt borttagandet och minskandet av subventionen.Resultaten av vår analys visar på att avgiftsinförandet inte har någon väsentlig effekt på pris, utbud och efterfrågan. Däremot leder ett borttagande eller minskande av subventionen till förändringar i form av stora prishöjningar och utbudsminskningar vilket har en stor negativ effekt på efterfrågan på bussresor.

Today, a large proportion of wood supplied for the Swedish forest industry is bought from private forest owners while forest companies at the same time provide the forest owners with services such as logging services and transportation. Today, forest companies work extensively with keeping the time used for transport and logging short. But what does the private forest owners think about the time required for the timber deal, also called lead time, and the different parts of the timber deal. In this thesis, the forest owners? perception of the different lead times in their contracts with Stora Enso and their communication with the purchasers is examined.

I ett samhälle med starka lokala aktörer kan inte staten agera suveränt. Stats­makten är bero­ende av samverkan med lokala och regionala aktörer och blir påverkade av dem. De olika of­fentliga aktörernas resurser är dels finansiella i form av anslag av me­del, dels legala genom myndighetsutövning. I frågor gällande utbyggnad eller uppgradering av transportin­frastruktur tvingas staten samverka med regionala och lokala aktörer (kommuner) för att uppnå gemen­samma mål. Denna samverkan antar olika karaktär från fall till fall och innebär att såväl mål som resurser förändras under pro­cessens gång.
