Detta arbete baseras på en enkätundersökning, men även två genomförda Cooper´s löptest hos ett manligt fotbollslag i Sverige. Syftet med denna studie var att förbättra konditionen hos spelarna i ett lag med hjälp av individanpassad konditionsträning. Spelarna genomförde en träningsintervention som bestod av en intervallstege en gång i veckan under 14 veckor. Resultaten visar att 15 av 18 spelare förbättrade sitt testvärde och de som svarade bäst på träningsinterventionen var de spelare som sprang på 12 min eller mer vid första test tillfället. Slutsatserna är att individanpassad träning för lagidrott gynnar individernas konditionsutveckling och högst sannolikt även prestationsförmågan under spel..

Människors yrkesval och syn på framtida arbetsliv influeras av olika faktorer som i sin tur har formats av evolutionen eller den sociala omgivningen. Människans kognitiva förmågor är ett av elementen som påverkar yrkesvalsprocessen, men är också kanske en bidragande orsak till könssegregeringen på arbetsmarknaden. Hur människor ser sig själva i den framtida yrkesrollen kan också vara en anledning till varför det finns en könsskillnad på arbetsmarknaden. Markus and Nurius (1987) har myntat begreppet ?Possible self?, vilket de definierade som självbilden i framtida situationer.

The purpose of this paper is to understand the climate of the street and how it can be modified to better meet the needs of the street and the user groups. At the same time the conditions of the street and its surroundings also has to be taken into account. To accomplish this it is necessary to have a broad knowledge of the climate conditions in the city. Therefore an overview of the climate elements and how these are modified in the built-up areas are given. The part of the paper which deals with the city climate has a global approach to be able to give an as complete picture as possible.

Naturvetenskaplig undervisning stöter ofta på hinder i och med att elever skapar missuppfattningar om naturvetenskapliga fenomen som de möter i sin vardag. Denna studie syftar till att, utifrån tidigare forskningsresultat, detektera och kvantitativt uppskatta förekomsten av dessa missuppfattningar inom området syror och baser hos svenska kemistuderande gymnasieelever. För att undersöka detta utformades en enkät med olika påståenden baserade på vanliga missuppfattningar som eleverna fick ta ställning till. Missuppfattningarna kategoriserades i tre grupper; ?Syror och baser?, ?pH-skalan? och ?Neutralisation?.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att unders?ka om isbad p?verkar ?terh?mtning och prestation efter h?gintensiva sprinter hos kvinnliga och manliga fotbollsspelare, samt att analysera sambandet mellan upplevd ?terh?mtning och faktisk prestation. Metod: 10 fotbollsspelare deltog (fem kvinnor och fem m?n) fr?n tv? lag i sydv?stra Sverige. Deltagarna genomf?rde ?tta maximala 30-meterssprinter med aktiv vila mellan varje sprint. Fyra testtillf?llen genomf?rdes, endast ett testtillf?lle anv?nde deltagarna isbad som en ?terh?mtningsmetod. Medan de tre andra testtillf?llena gjorde deltagarna fick g?ra valfri ?terh?mtning, utan att det noterades vad f?r ?terh?mtning.

I Buenos Aires säger man att staden har vuxit fram med "la espalda al rio", med ryggen mot floden. Det betyder två saker, att Rio de la Plata är det som staden stödjer hela sin utveckling mot samt att man vänder ryggen bort från floden och in mot land.Buenos Aires har växt längre och längre bort från Rio de la Plata, idag ligger floden fågelvägen ca 2,3 km från stadsgränsen och den barriär som finns där imellan består till stor del av svårgenomtränglig infrastruktur. I mitt examensarbete undersöker jag hur man i den stora skalan kan förändra Buenos Airesbornas relation och tillgänglighet till vattnet och på samma gång lösa ett par av de stora problem som Buenos Aires brottas med. I den något mindre skalan har jag också undersökt vilka olika typer av specifika relationer Buenos Aires skulle kunna tänkas utveckla till Rio de la Plata..

Public concern about the release of toxic compounds from wood-based products drives legislation towards enforcing industries to find and use more sustainable solutions for wood treatment. Plant oils are good alternatives to treat wood, minimizing or even neutralizing the impact on the environment. Wood modification with epoxidised linseed oil (ELO) and acetic acid as catalyst has proven a suitable method to impregnate and protect wood. However, the mixture presents a serious inconvenience because of the quick polymerization of the ingredients that limits its practical application. Therefore, this study was designed to evaluate an alternative method using a two-step process which bypassed the problem above.

One of ABB Power Systems´s business areas is HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology. HVDC is used for transmissions for both short and long distances. One of Power Systems?s products is called HVDC Light. HVDC Light is a relatively new technology for power transmission, but have before only been used for motor drives applications.

Like allmaterials exposed to natures degradative processes the properties of wood decreases over time.Rot, UV radiation and attacks by insects and pests damage wood if not protected. Since we wantwhat we build to consist, optimizing our building materials durability is of great interest.Techniques and methods for increasing the endurance of wood have been developed in severaldifferent places and for a long time.

The engine of JAS 39 Gripen, RM12, has recently been equipped with a new flameholder and a new engine inlet. This change has caused an increased noise level from the engine when the afterburner is in use. The noise level reaches its peak when the afterburner is partially used. The problem is thought to be unstable combustion in the regions around the flameholder. A solution to the problem has been proposed by Volvo Aero.

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between gender and self reported symptoms (physiological and psychological) and sense of coherence (SOC) and Job Demand-Control-Social support (JDCS). The sample consisted of 360 respondents (nfemale= 261, nmale= 99), in the ages between 19-53 (M=25,57, SD=5,77), all students from Växjö University. A quantitative work method was used in the study; data was collected using questionnaires that consisted of self-reported questions, based on three parts: A modified symptom checklist, SOC 13 and a modified JDCS questionnaire. The result of our study showed that both SOC and JDCS had an effect on self-reported symptoms but there were no interaction between SOC and JDCS. No significant gender differences were found regarding the level of SOC.

PRs are shown to have antimicrobial activity differing between bacteria, fungi and oomycetes (Tandrup Poulsen, 2001).

This paper seeks to investigate whether there is a positive relationship between bonus as a part of total executive compensation and lower accounting quality among Swedish companies. In this study, accounting quality is defined as the degree by which a company's earnings are subject to earnings management. To detect earnings management accrual-based modified Jones model is applied to companies listed on the Large-, Mid- and Small-Cap lists on the Stockholm stock exchange during 2011. We find a statistically significant positive relationship between bonus as a part of total executive compensation and lower accounting quality. Thus, in line with prior research, our results suggest that managers, interested in maximizing their bonus, will select income increasing accruals to manage earnings upwards.
