I det konkurrensutsatta samhälle som vi idag lever i är inte kommunen på samma sätt som tidigare en självklar och livstrogen arbetsgivare. I dagens samhälle gäller det att bygga upp en organisation som har ett starkt varumärke. Vikten av att bygga ett starkt varumärke är en förutsättning för att kunna behålla och attrahera ny arbetskraft.Studien har genomförts på en kommun i Sverige där vi har undersökt hur kommunen arbetar med frågor som arbetsgivarpolicy och värdeord. Med hjälp av teoretiker som Senge och Argyris diskuterar vi kommunens vision om att vara en lärande organisation. Storstadskommunen arbetar efter en ny arbetsgivarpolicy och en uppsättning värdeord, där kommunen uppmuntrar sina anställda till ett kontinuerligt lärande.Vi vill med denna studie ta reda på hur arbetsgivarpolicyn påverkar kommunen som organisation samt vilken påverkan dessa uppsatta värdeord har på kommunens varumärke.

The aim of this Bachelor´s thesis is to investigate how library statistics, performance measurement and indicators represent the modern public library activity. During the last decades the public library has gone through a lot of changes. Information overall has increased and new technology has been introduced into the library. This new development has had effects on the library users. The statistics reported to the Statens kulturråd (National Arts Council) has not changed in the same way.

Today there is a large consensus about the importance of Swedish schools providingconditions enabling students to develop the ability to manage and learn through information technologies (IT). The goal of this study was to describe and examine how national education goals for the use of IT transformed into municipal IT-strategies for the school. A content analysis was conducted of thirty-eight municipal IT-strategies collected from Swedish municipal websites on the Internet. The content in the municipal IT-strategies was compared with the content in both the Swedish education act and the national curriculum. The results showed that the content in the Swedish education act and the national curriculum in fact was translated into municipal IT strategies, but that the range of strategies concerning technology, pedagogy and content in relation to IT was broad.

Telepresence production handlar om att kommunicera med video och audiobaserad teknologi i realtid över distans och att generera en känsla av närvaro fastän man fysiskt är på olika platser. Forskningsområdet är ett tvärvetenskapligt ämnesområde som innehåller datalogi, socialpsykologi, kognitiv psykologi och perception så väl som konst och storytelling. Den här uppsatsen behandlar främst den process som utformning av ett videomedierat möte innebär. This paper aims to describe and elaborate on a recent discursive change within the new-age movement. Since the seventies and the publishing of speculative popular science books like The Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra and The self-aware universe by Amit Goswami, the idea that quantum physics resonates with spirituality has become the topic of hundreds of books and movies.The quantum-spiritual discourse has three distinct ways to approach quantum physics in its discussion on spirituality: The parallelistic approach which emphasizes the similarities between eastern philosophies and modern physics, the monistic-idealistic approach which tells us that mind is the foundation of matter and the scientific spiritual approach which tries to explain spiritual claims scientifically. In the quantum-spiritual discourse, quantum physical phenomena (e.g. non-locality and entanglement) are being called upon to validate metaphysical statements. The primary assumption of the discourse is that the shift of paradigm due to the establishment of modern physics also is a shift of paradigm of spirituality.With the object to examine the common claims made in the discourse, cross-references between spiritual arguments and facts of quantum physics are being made.

Bishop Alois Hudal is a man who is often mentioned when the relationship between the Vatican and the national socialistic Germany of 1933-1945 is discussed. In these cases he is usually presented as a Nazi and sometimes even called ?the brown Bishop?. One of the contributing factors for this infamous title, perhaps the most contributing, is the Bishops book Die Grundlagen des Nationalsozialismus. National Socialism is a Weltanschauung with a certain set of doctrines that is hard, or rather impossible, to combine with any other Weltanschauung, whether it is a philosophical or a religious one.

I min uppsats vill jag inbjuda till en alternativ tolkning av Hjalmar Söderbergs Martin Bircks ungdom (1901). Syftet med uppsatsen är att ge förståelse för Martin Bircks karaktär och handlande genom att belysa den centrala relationen mellan Martin och modern. För att analysera Martins psykologi ställs hans gestalt mot den historiska samtidens uppfattningar om psykologi. Jag har även använt mig av ett psykoanalytiskt angreppssätt, framför allt grundat på Sigmund Freuds idéer, vilket fungerar både som litterär teori och metod.I min undersökning har jag funnit att Martin är en neurotisk person som lider av många av de psykiska problem som var vanliga runt 1900-talets sekelskifte, så som neurasteni. Jag har i enlighet med freudiansk psykoanalys tolkat Martins neuros som grundad i en inre konflikt mellan detet och överjaget.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine how young womens sexuality is described in Swedish youth novels. The analysis is based upon eight books of which four were published during the period from 1970 to 1975 and four books were published during 2000 to 2005. The theoretical framework is based on a gender theoretical perspective where Yvonne Hirdmans theories about a gender system and Ylva Elwin-Nowaks and Heléne Thomssons ideas about gender construction are crucial. Also Anthony Giddens theories about sexuality in the late modern society are used, where the plastic sexuality and the pure relationship are central ideas. The method is based upon textual analysis, and a model of analysis is constructed with its basis in the theoretical attempt.

Efter drygt två års arbete sjösattes det nya teknikprogrammet för gymnasieskolan i juli år 2000. Programmål, kursplaner och kursmål hade tagits fram och en av de nya kurser som introducerades i samband med programmets lansering, var TEU 1207 Teknik, människa, samhälle (TMS). Kursen har sitt ursprung i den gamla kursen Teknologi A, som fram till dess bland annat hade getts på det naturvetenskapliga programmet. Teknologi A hade ett ganska stort mått av kontextuella moment, men TMS visade sig vara helt kontextuellt. Innehållet fokuserade också på processer istället för på produkt och material.

Today many sociologists speak about the modern world and the god and bad that it brings. In association to this discussion there is a tendency to speak about an increased individualization, a process that often also means more choices and possibilities. But in addition to this follows a big responsibility for how we choose to live our lives, since our choices not seldom also influences other people, both locally and globally. The aim of this essay is to investigate the importance of non-profit organizations with social direction in our Swedish welfare society and thereby also in a modern world where people's individual choices are becoming all more important. In order to answer my main issue I have implemented thirteen qualitative interviews, of which ten of the informers are from different non-profit organizations and three from different stately authorities.
