Ett konstmuseum på 3000 m² i Uppsala vid Fyrisån. En utmejsling i det kulturella och historiska stadslandskapet i Uppsala där besökaren kan vandra längs museumet alla tider på dygnet. Genom att ge små glimtar lockas besökaren att besöka de samlingar av modern och klassisk konst samt den samling av grafiska tryck som finns på utställning. Formen tillåter rörelse i alla riktningar och förlänger kajen. Byggnaden är utformad i trä som är konturskuren på ytterskiktet med en stomme av ett rymdfackverk i stål.

I detta examensarbete beskrivs kombinationen av video och digital grafik vid filmproduktion. Jag kommer att förklara filmproduktionens olika stadier med fokus på postproduktionen. Jag behandlar frågor som förklarar vad postproduktion är, hur det går till samt olika tekniker inom den digitala postproduktionen för att kombinera video och digital teknik. Warehouses are a key aspect of modern supply chains and play a vital role in the success or failure of businesses today. Figures from the USA indicate that the capital- and operating costs of warehouses represent about 22 % of a company?s logistics costs while figures from Europe indicate 25 % (Baker & Canessa, 2009). Because warehousing is such an important function within a company, the authors chose to focus on this in their thesis. The purpose of this thesis has been to examine the significance of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and item identification with attention to logistic efficiency.

The purpose of this thesis is to find evidence if cult houses existed on Gotland during the Bronze Age. The cult house is a common term in modern Bronze Age archaeology and the general definitions of cult house are discussed and why cult houses seem to be absent on Gotland. In this thesis the cult house are discussed as a phenomenon, and the possibilities to find Bronze Age cult houses on Gotland are evaluated by making comparisons between Gotland houses with already defined cult houses from the Swedish mainland. Some known cult houses are presented in more detail as case studies, together with house remains on Gotland which could have potential to be defined as cult houses..

Landscape architecture is a visual profession, but other senses also affect our interpretation of a place. Sounds can give us a lot of information about an environment, and they are often perceived as positive. Despite this, research about outdoor sounds most often focus on the reduction of unwanted sounds ? noise ? but the absence of noise does not result in a good soundscape. To accomplish this, sounds we appreciate are needed.

Our essay starts with two self-experienced stories where we describe how we as pedagogues act when children do not behave as we wish. We examine the different perspectives that can influence us pedagogues to act as we do. Our narrative about Kevin, seven years old, shows how he is excluded from his school mates as they perceive him as disruptive. Also the narrative about Pelle six years old is about his dislike of an activity he is forced to attendag ainst his will.The study is based on a hermeneutical method where, through the interpretation of different perspectives, we discuss several aspects that affect us in our actions. The perspectives we have chosen to highlight are treatment of children, organization, power structures, communication and reflection.Our narratives differ from each other in the way that the recreation instructor Ulrika has no mandate over her situation on this particular day she helps as an extra support in a class atschool.

Istället för att få standardutseendet på sina D-uppsatser ville en avgångsklass på en Mediedesignutbildning göra en bok där de samlade sina uppsatser. Denna bok fick en ny form som arbetades fram i den här uppsatsen. Huvudfokus låg på läsbarhet och frågor om estetiken i typsnitt och layout samt om det var möjligt att behålla seriositeten samtidigt som den känns kreativ och modern. 18 personer var med i försöksgruppen som bland annat fick rangordna de tre typsnitten Times, Sabon och Verdana för det aktuella ändamålet. Sammantaget var Sabon det typsnitt som visade sig vara mest lämpligt för en publikation av det här slaget.

Is it possible to say that it is a western? To determine that, I compare a number of acknowledged westerns, on the basis to list a number of generic conventions.

This study aims to highlight patients´ experiences about and thoughts of side effects fromelectroconvulsive therapy (ECT), a therapeutic method commonly used when having severedepressions. The framing of questions were how the respondents of this study describe theirlife before, during and after ECT-treatment, how the treatment has affected their daily life andhow these experiences may contribute to the awareness of power in professional relations.The study is based on three semi-structured narrative interviews and the main result showedthat, according to my interpretation, ECT as a treatment obliterated memories, quality of lifeand daily structure for all participants. Unfortunately they have all become subjects ofpsychiatric power and have faced considerable difficulty in getting professional recognitionaccording to their severe memory issues. The respondents have lost the ability to relate totheir past which clearly makes them struggle in their present context. A point in commonamong them is that neither of them wanted ECT but, because of the lack of communicationbetween them as patients and the health care in general, they all ended up getting it..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva hur lärare och ansvariga uppfattar de lärande som sker i ett fritidshem som är inspirerat av Reggio Emilias arbetssätt. Jag har använt mig av en kvalitativ metod och genomfört två intervjuer med en verksam pedagog samt en rektor för ett specifikt fritidshem i Piteå. Intervjuerna genomfördes under april 2007 på fritidshemmet. Resultatet av min studie visar att den Reggio Emilia inspirerade pedagogiken svarar väl mot en modern kunskapssyn. Eftersom utgångspunkten är lyhördhet gentemot barnets inneboende kreativitet och skaparkraft viktiga inslag i denna pedagogiska modell är estetiska uttryckssätt samt en medveten dokumentation av de lärande som sker..

The aim of this study was to reach a better understanding of voluntary work and its possible influence on the work role. Based on a phenomenological approach, five voluntary workers from the leisure field were interviewed. The interpretation of the empirical data was based on the Humanistic psychology and its theories about personality, self-realization, motivation and emotion. The results show that the motive behind the voluntary engagement varied amongst the participants and all of them stated more than one motive. However, social motives, wanting to learn more and develop their skills and also wanting to help others, were the most frequent motives among the participants.

The study examines how efficiency and effectiveness are measured in charity organizations in Sweden. The rules of Svensk Insamlingskontroll, Årsredovisningslagen and Bokföringslagen make up the accounting framework upon which efficiency and effectiveness are measured in charity organizations. The study is based upon interviews with the sector's main actors: Svensk Insamlingskontroll, Frivilligorganisationernas insamlingsråd, auditors and the charity organizations themselves. The interviews are supplemented by studies of the guidelines issued by Svensk Insamlingskontroll. Today's measure of efficiency is the percentage of a charity organization's income that benefits their goals, called nyckeltalet.

This essay is focused on the questions of and responsibility for where, when, how and why communication and meetings through archaeology should take place. I have critically studied Swedish public archaeology through three diverse archaeological excava­tions, one took place in the end of the 1980s, and two others in 2012.I have asked for under what circum­stances and with which goals the public efforts become possible. I have inter­viewed leaders for the archaeological excavations and/or the public efforts and questi­o­ned how and why they reached out to the public. I also searched for results and effects in order to problematize and value the public activities.Through interpretation of the resear­ched material it becomes clear that economic issues as well as archaeo­logists interests and engagements are of vital importance for public archaeology.
