Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is a relatively new method for learning a foreign language. CLIL programs are growing in popularity and more and more schools are adopting it all around the world. There is still no special education for the teachers working with CLIL, though research suggests it may be an effective method for achieving good results.To get a realistic view of the work of a CLIL teacher, I have interviewed four different mathematic teachers who work at CLIL international schools in Spain with English as the foreign language. I have compared their methods and experiences with the main ideas of current research in this particular field.The survey shows that the teachers? views about how CLIL is to be used do not completely correspond to that of the research.

This study deals with one particular instance of foreign policy change in Sweden; The political take-off for enhanced Nordic Defence and Security Cooperation in the beginning of the 21st century which led to an agreement on a Nordic declaration on slolidarity. The aim of this study is to explain why the political development has undergone a rapid upturn and when such a policy change occur. Its purpose is to explain what factors and conditions that influenced the policy change. It also explores the meaning of the Nordic Declaration of Solidarity. The theoretical point of departure is Foreign Policy Analysis combined with John Kingdons policy-window theory.

This paper is about the new programming language from Microsoft, C# (See Sharp) and the .NET Framework. They are still in beta-version, but will be released on the market in February 2002. This paper presents C#, not in detail but the characteristics that distinguish the language. A comparison is done with C++ and Java, since C# is most resembling to these languages. Both C# and Java have been developed from the mother- language C++.

Jag har gjort en receptionsanalys där jag använt recensioner från olika media som material. Min teoretiska utgångspunkt är från ett västerländskt perspektiv och har stämt väl med mitt resultat av undersökningen..

Knowledge is of great importance for organizations and it is seen as an important competitive advantage to effectively preserve knowledge within an organisation. The upcoming retirement of employees born in the 1940s poses a threat because it is believed to result in a knowledge drain. The problem of preserving knowledge within the organization lies in the fact that it is partly tacit, and therefore not possible to write down or communicate in words. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how tacit knowledge is created in the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the implications thereof. We examine the following research questions: Of what significance is the creation and reproduction of tacit knowledge for the Swedish Foreign Ministry? Which factors influence the creation and reproduction of tacit knowledge and why? A case study of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs has been conducted.

Jag har för denna uppsats granskat språkbruket i samtliga riksdagspartiers jämställdhetsplaner, i avseendet språk och kön, detta för att undersöka hur språkbruket ser ut för aspekterna personliga pronomina, titlar och personbeteckningar, böjning av adjektiv i naturligt genus, förekomst av ord och ordkombinationer som ?kvinnor?, ?män? och ?kvinnor och män? och snarlika ord samt omskrivningar. De partier som omfattas av min undersökning är centerpartiet, folkpartiet, kristdemokraterna, miljöpartiet, moderaterna, socialdemokraterna och vänsterpartiet.Mitt syfte med uppsatsen är att se i hur stor grad riksdagspartierna använder ett jämställt språk. Fokus i min uppsats ligger på att analysera hur de olika partiernas texter är uppbyggda och vilka språkliga verktyg partierna använder sig av för att språket inte ska upplevas obalanserat eller riktat till endast ett av könen. En kartläggning av språkbruket i jämställdhetsplanerna kan visa på ambitionen att skriva könsneutralt, vilka strategier som tillämpas för att kringgå könsmarkörer samt eventuella omedvetna könsmarkeringar.

Uppsatsen grundar sig på en empirisk undersökning av hur studenterna på Institutionen för nordiska språk kommaterar. Utfallet analyseras mot bakgrund av Lars-Johan Ekerots teori om en utveckling mot koncentration på prototypfallen. Av undersökningen att döma har Ekerots teori ingen bäring. Resultaten visar att samtidigt som vi tenderar att sätta ut allt färre kommatecken, utbreder sig en anarki i positionsfrågan..

Aid effectiveness is a reoccuring theme in the social sciences. Maybe rightfully so, as development is slow in many parts of the developing world. Core literature on the matter seems to suggest that aid effectiveness is contingent on recipients? level of corruption. Assuming this to be true, I examine the EU?s disbursements of Official Development Assistance over the past decade by running regressions: is there a relationship between the level of aid received, and a country?s level of corruption? As the EU is one of the largest donors of foreign aid globally, and has the power to shape the global foreign aid agenda, this question puts to the test whether the EU is leading the way, or rather is an obstacle in front.

The invisible entrepreneurship is a study of owners of businesses with foreign heritage. It describes the unexplored relationship between ethnicity and class within this group of entrepreneurs.The result of the study is a model which I have found to be suitable to use when depicting the relationship between the ethnic profile and class. The model indicates that the importance of ethnicity decreases as both the owner of, and the business reach a more prominent class. The method of collecting data has been interviews with owners of businesses and Grounded theory has been used to analyse this data. Theories on ethnicity, owners of businesses with foreign heritage, and class in relation to ethnicity have been discussed on the basis of social constructivism.

This thesis which is about working with mathematics teaching has no effect/impact on performance and understanding of pupils. The study is intended to gain insight on working in mathematics education which has an impact on performance and understanding of students who are ethnically Swedish and foreign ethnic. In order to compare the ethnic Swedish and foreign students of ethnic understanding, I judged from their performance on the tests taken in year three. The qualitative approach permeated the work, both interviews and observations which were included in the survey. The qualitative study was chosen to get an understanding of how mathematics teaching is conducted in two different areas.
