The Swedish agricultural sector is currently experiencing substantial structural changes, where the number of agricultural enterprises continuously decreases and the average farm size increases. In order to maintain competitiveness, it is important to be aware and adapt to changes concerning the surroundings of the company (Johnson et al., 2011). Agricultural commodity prices sharply fluctuate on the global market in recent years, affecting the profitability of farmers. High volatility market requires tools to reduce price variations and increases the need of decision-making (Bouder & Beth, 2003). Farm-based grain handling facilities increases the sale options regarding agricultural commodities; a flexible strategy to get additional compensation for the storing the grain produced on the farm (Edling, 2002; Edwards, 2013).

Over an extended period of time there have been plans to establish a shared facility in Lennheden to extract groundwater from the Badelunda esker to provide drinking water for the cities of Borlänge and Falun. The city of Falun is dissatisfied with the quality of its drinking water and the city of Borlänge is concerned about the risk of contamination of its existing groundwater supply at its current location. To provide a basis for a decision on this issue, the company Midvatten AB has been commissioned to perform hydrogeological investigations in the area of Lennheden.The purpose of this thesis is to design a functional groundwater model of the area between Lennheden, place of planned extraction, and Övre Tjärna, place of existing extraction, to get a better understanding of the groundwater situation in the area. A groundwater model enables simulations of different scenarios in risk assessment and contaminant transport. The aim of the thesis is that the model can be used as an aid in Midvatten?s investigations in Lennheden and that it also can be used in future projects in the area.The model has been made in Processing Modflow 5.3 and encompasses an area of 19,5 × 11 km along the Badelunda esker and the river Dalälven between Djurmo and Frostbrunnsdalen.

In today's changing society, companies need to work with continuous change and improvement to evolve with the market. It is therefore important for managers to learn how to manage teams because they are expected to streamline selected products or processes in the business. Employees and teams need to develop in line with the changing environment in this process feedback is a tool and an important pillar. Leaders must learn to manage and transform feedback into something useful.The purpose of this study was to create an understanding of how systems-based feedback in the form of employee surveys can be a support for the leader in team development. We wanted to identify relevant behaviors and actions of the leader that may increase the work with feedback.

Det finns flertalet definitioner av organiserad brottslighet och detta leder till en begreppsförvirring. Därmed kommer i denna uppsats begreppet organiserad brottslighet problematiseras. Syftet med uppsatsen är att, genom att applicera EU:s definition av organiserad brottslighet på fiktiva fallexempel i tre filmer, undersöka om definitionen ger tydliga riktlinjer för identifikation av kriminella organisationer eller om den bidrar till den rådande begreppsförvirringen. Detta gör vi med följande frågeställning: Vilka (typer av)organisationer kan definieras som organiserad brottslighet enligt EU:s definition? Eftersombegreppet organiserad brottslighet antyder organisering valde vi att fördjupa oss i Göran Ahrnes organisationssociologiska synsätt.

The main purpose for this study was to examine how boys with destructive and self-harming behaviour are perceived and comprehended by school counsellors and literature. The study assessed how boys who harm themselves are defined both in practice and in theory by using a social constructivist point of view and a gender perspective. The study was divided in two parts concerning gathering knowledge of the matter. The authors, using a method called qualitative semi-structured interviews, interviewed nine school counsellors. To acquire scientific knowledge, the authors implemented a literature review and researched books and journal articles regarding boys who self-harm.

Mitt syfte med detta arbete är att reda ut begreppen ordblindhet, dyslexi och läs- och skrivsvårigheter. Jag har sedan valt att använda definition läs- och skrivsvårigheter. I arbetet har jag undersökt hur pass väl teori stämmer överens med praktik, med tyngdpunkt på dessa orsaker, symptom, diagnos och åtgärder. Det är idag ganska oklart om vilka faktorer som är bidragande orsaker till läs- och skrivsvårigheter. Forskarna är osäkra på om läs- och skrivsvårigheter kan vara ärftligt betingat.

Det här arbetet har som syfte att genom en jämförelse av olika analysmetoder för clickstream-data kunna fungera som en vägledning när en metod ska implementeras. Metoden som använts vid jämförelsen är litteraturstudie i och med att de analyseringsmetoder som ska undersökas redan är framtagna och kunskap om dem fås genom att studera litteratur i vilka de förekommer. Ett antal kriterier används sedan vid själva jämförelsen, anledningen till detta är att metoderna ska jämföras utifrån en gemensam grund.De metoder som uppfyllde kraven för de olika kriterierna bäst var page events fact model och subsession fact model. Subsession fact model kan dock upplevas som det bästa valet i alla lägen men samtidigt är den kanske lite överdriven om clickstream-datan bara ska användas till att se hur besökarna använder varje individuell sida för att användas i designsupport syfte. Det går alltså att påvisa att syftet styr vilken metod som är mest lämpad..

Under vår lärarutbildning har matematiksamtal behandlats. Syftet med detta arbete blev därför att ta reda på om lärare i skolår 6 använder sig av matematiksamtal i sin undervisning och i så fall hur. Vår definition av matematiksamtal är att det ska vara en dialog, dels mellan lärare och elever, dels elever emellan och att båda parter får göra sin röst hörd utan att bli avbrutna. Vi anser även att fokus ligger på att diskutera och resonera matematik och inte enbart hitta det rätta svaret på en uppgift. Eleverna ska inte vara rädda för att säga hur de har tänkt trots att lösningen eller svaret kan vara fel.

Syftena med denna uppsats har varit flera. Dels att genomföra en undersökande genrediskussion av svensk chick-lit i stort där det som uppfattats som den huvudsakliga kritiken av genren omformulerats till frågeställningar. Huvudfrågan har därmed varit att ta reda på om svensk chick-lit är intressant, men också om den har några litterära kvaliteter och om den är en feministisk backlash. I uppsatsen arbetas även en definition av svensk chick-lit fram, samt empiriskt grundad teori ur materialet. Avsikten är att detta arbete ska kunna verka som förebild för andra utredningar av nya och marginaliserade genrer.

When the independent upper secondary schools were started in 1992, it meant a change in the competitive relationship for the local upper secondary schools. A reduced number of students during some years ahead, while the number of independent upper secondary schools increase will probably result in tougher competition between upper secondary schools.The purpose of this study is to review and compare financial and performance management between a public and an independent upper secondary school. The dissertation will focus on the now existing competitive relationship between the two types of upper secondary schools.The theory underlying the study is Porter's model - five competitive forces. The model is applied to the local upper secondary school and used to identify competitive factors affecting upper secondary schools. The study is using a qualitative approach with five interviews at two upper secondary schools, one independent and one public, located in the same town.The comparison of financial and operational management of upper secondary schools indicate that the differences are not as great as we first imagined, but that there still are some differences.

Denna uppsats fokuserar på fältet organisatoriskt lärande. I denna uppsats undersöks huruvida en definition av vad organisatoriskt lärande är, är av vikt för utvecklingen av området. Vi tar vår utgångspunkt i kritik som riktats mot denna definitionsdebatt, som menar att organisationer redan lär sig och att man snarare bör studera detta lärande och utveckla detta istället för att söka formulera en exakt definition.Vi har i denna uppsats gjort en fördjupad studie av en utvald organisation, Rockparty, för att se hur denna handskas med lärande inom organisationen. Resultatet av denna studie blev insikten om att organisationen i allra högsta grad sysslar med vad vi känner igen som organisatoriskt lärande. Vilket föranleder oss att ta rygg på den tidigare yttrade kritiken mot definitionsdebatten som sådan och ett bifall till uppmaningen att istället studera och utveckla det lärande som pågår..

Slaughter of animals should consist of two steps in order to be considered humane. The first step of the slaughter process is stunning, with the purpose of inducing unconsciousness and insensibility in the animal. The second step is exsanguination, which causes bleeding and eventually death. What death really means in these situations has been discussed intensively, but still no agreed definition has been accepted. Nonetheless, it is conceded that animals are declared dead when consciousness is irreversibly lost, and absence of respiration and blood circulation are observed.

Problem: The main problem this thesis brings up is what impact factors like trust, commitment, communication between a company and its costumers and value can have on costumer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective.Purpose: The purpose with this thesis is to describe the importance of factors that can have an impact on customer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective. To do this the author has looked into a company called Q-steps and conducted an investigation on their costumers opinion of their relationship with the company.Method: An interview was held with Q-steps CEO Sören Levén as the basis of the thesis, as well as a questionnaire that was sent to the company?s existing costumers over the web.Theory: In the thesis the author uses a model that describes factors that can have an impact on costumer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective. This model is based on theories within relationship building in service companies.Conclusion: To be able to develop good relationships to their customers and as a result of this increase the level of costumer satisfaction, Q-steps has to take different variables into consideration. The main focus in this matter should lay on the variables that to a great extent affect the level of costumer satisfaction.

As the western society gradually turns into a knowledge- and risk society, where science and scientific innovations increasingly both promise to save the world and destroy it, a shift in the relation between the scientific community and the rest of society has emerged. A shift from a top-down one-way transfer view regarding communication, to a dialogue-based interactive co-production model, where the public are part of setting the agenda for research and contribute to the knowledge production. Or at least in theory, in EU documents and in many different country's policy documents. In practical application however, one might have a hard time see the implementation of such model.As a more comprehensive and dialogue-based science communication is depending on the possibility for scientist themselves to engage and fell the need to engage, we have focused on their thoughts.In this thesis we have examined six scientists view on, and work with, science communication, as well as their perceived social and structural conditions. We have also examined action plans and strategy documents from three Swedish universities that in different ways mention science communication and interaction with the broader society.

Through qualitative interviews with five teachers from three schools, two public schools within the same school management and a Waldorf school, the purpose of this study is to find out teachers' views on the phenomenon of life skills in the lower classes in school. What is the subject, how do teachers work with life skills, and should it be seen as a separate subject or integrated in all school subjects?The results show that the definition of life skills is a term with many interpretations. Two concepts that can be seen as the common denominators in the educators' views on the subject, however is, social and emotional skills. This is something that educators believe develop self-awareness and empathy in children and sees that as important as learning other subjects.
