Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och analysera hur fem företag agerar för att utveckla den kompetens som finns i företaget och på vilket sätt detta agerande visas i den externa redovisningen. Metod: Insamlingen av data har skett genom personliga intervjuer med nyckelpersoner för kompetens i fem företag som vi ansett vara kunskapsintensiva. Vi har använt oss av en intervjuguide och låtit respondenten utveckla sig fritt och uttömmande kring dessa frågor. Dessa har sedan kompletterats med ytterligare frågor som skickats och besvarats via e-mail.

Det är viktigt att tekniska hjälpmedel har hög grad av användbarhet. Speciellt viktigt är det att teknik som används av Räddningstjänsten fungerar bra eftersom det ökar möjligheterna för Räddningstjänsten att klara sitt uppdrag att rädda liv och egendom. När det handlar om användbarhet i system är det viktigt att systemet är lätt att lära och enkelt att använda, vilket bidrar till ökad användningsfrekvens och större tilltro till det. Detta examensarbete innefattar av empiriska undersökningar som syftar till att beskriva de användbarhetsproblem som existerar i beslutsstödsystemet Paratus Mobile System som används vid Räddningstjänsten i Piteå. För att få veta användarnas åsikter om användbarheten och den utbildning de fått för att hantera systemet intervjuades sex användare.

Few would disagree that the media landscape has undergone significant changes the last decade. From bulky computers and plain mobile phones to portable High-Definition computers and multi-functional smartphones. Other media, such as newspapers and music, have evolved and prospered in a digitalized environment. The constant urge to digitalize aspects and functions of our daily lives seems almost instinctive. Television has taken further steps into this environment as it is now accepted and featured via the Internet.

This is the end report of my final exam at Medieteknik. It covers the planning, work process and review of a Flash based web application that I set out to do. The goal was to create a user friendly, interactive e-shop with embedded functionality for playing music, displaying rich media content and researching possible payment solutions, to enable buying music files online. The project involved creating the user interface, the programmatic functionality of a Flash client (an SWF file). Also, setting up an Apache HTTP Server and establishing a working ?bridge? between the Flash client and the web server with Flash Remoting components and AMFPHP.

A new FPGA suitable for space applications has just reached the market. To investigate whether there are any possible flaws or limitations similar to those previously seen on FPGAs, an evaluation has to be done. In the evaluation work, special effort has been made to develop designs that really stress the FPGA to find potential problems.

If customers respond differently to a campaign, it is worthwhile to find those customers who respond most positively and direct the campaign towards them. This can be done by using so called incremental response analysis where respondents from a campaign are compared with respondents from a control group. Customers with the highest increased response from the campaign will be selected and thus may increase the company?s return. Title: To make a living by library music; Opportunities and prerequisites. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how a music producer or composer can achieve placement of his or her music in commercials, TV-shows, computer games, and other media. What is required to make a living by composing and producing music today? This is a qualitative study made by interviewing six persons, who all in some way work with this kind of music. The result shows that in order to reach out and place the music, an active net working, a deep knowledge in music production, in a wide range of music genres, is crucial.

Today the Internet is used more and more as a transportation for information. Much of the information is confidential and should not be read by those not privileged. To protect the information from unauthorized access cryptography can be applied. The cryptography algorithms in use today all have their pros and cons. They are therefore suited for different applications.

The amount of cargo has since the 1970s increased in Sweden and the road traffic accounts for a large part of the transported volume. In Stockholm County the amount of cargo is calculated to be doubled in size from year 2001 to 2020 which means a greater need for transport is required. Much of these transports are being carried out by haulage companies of varying sizes which acts externally as carriers for their customers. All of this despite a greater awareness, laws and demands regarding environmental performance.The trend shows that the haulage industry in Sweden are moving towards fewer but larger haulage companies, which means that the competition is getting tougher for the smaller haulage companies. Smaller haulage companies and research about their competitive strategies is a neglected part of this industry.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this c-level essay shall try to illustrate how a good leader is formed. We have investigated what influences leadership style, personal characteristics or individual competence have when recruiting a new manager. This study has been carried out with comparative applications because we wanted to study the similarities and differences between the Unemployment Office, the Social Insurance Office and the Social Welfare Administration.We have used a qualitative method in interviews both with employers as well as the from the trade union representative?s perspective. Part of our results indicates that the trade union representatives and the employers are not always unanimous and do not request equivalent characteristics and knowledge at recruitment.

Forskning kring reflektion, metakognition, värdering och bedömning kopplas som centrala element till portfolioarbetet.Studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt är den fenomenografiska forskningsansatsen och som metod har använts en halvstrukturerad intervjuform. Undersökningsgruppen innefattar nio elever i år 5- 6, samt fem pedagoger.Resultatet visar på kvalitativa skillnader i uppfattningar av vilket lärande som utvecklas hos elever genom portfolioarbete.

Background: Inter-organisational ways of working have become more and more common during the last decades. In order to attain efficiency and productivity, such inter-organisational relationships need to be governed and controlled. However, studies have shown that inadequate control is one of the main reasons for why inter-organisational relationships fail. One of the means that can be used for governing and controlling a business is management control. The use of management control in inter-organisational contexts is a quite unexplored area of research at the present time, which might seem somewhat surprising considering the fact that inadequate control is a common explanation for why inter-organisational relationships fail.
