Kulturella upphov - om nation och familjerepresentation i dansk och spansk filmproduktion
Denna text koncentrerar sig kring familjerepresentation samt tillhörande genus- och identitetsaspekter, med utgångspunkt i spansk och dansk melodramproduktion under perioden 1999-2004. Genom att med hjälp av närläsningar undersöka filmernas familjebilder, samt aktörerna och deras drivkrafter vill vi granska huruvida dessa fiktioner kan betraktas som symptomatiska för den kultur som de producerats inom. Frågeställningen är alltså huruvida filmernas familjerepresentationer kan utläsas som nationella skillnader och likheter, eller om det vi ser ? och anar ? snarare är en autencitet inom familjedramat, som inte nödvändigtvis är knuten till geografiska gränser utan skulle kunna betraktas som ett tidens tecken. Vår uppsats syftar alltså till att undersöka det kulturella upphovet samt hur dessa filmer står i relation till den kulturella kontext i vilken de är gjorda..
Plastfilmsöppningar till Tetra Paks förpackningar : En teknisk introduktion och tidig konceptutveckling
This master thesis is an early concept development project about using plastic films and sheets as materials for shaping openings for Tetra Pak packages. It is also a technical introduction highlighting the areas of importance for the development of plastic film and sheets openings. The master thesis has been carried out as a co-operation between Chalmers University of Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Tetra Pak AB.The master thesis study presents an introduction that gives an understanding of the technical complexities and design possibilities of using thin plastic films and sheets in liquid carton openings. The knowledge is then transferred into five design concepts which points out the areas of opportunity. The technical introduction is widespread and extensive covering current packing trends, the liquid carton package and openings, thermoplastic material properties, and thin film and sheet manufacturing and shaping.
Creating a Video Resumé - With the Aid of Theories of Self-representation and Narratology
Följande undersökning behandlar uppbyggnaden av en CV-film med utgångspunkt i
sociologen Erving Goffmans teori om identitet och självrepresentation samt
filmteoretikern David Bordwells teori om narratologi. Goffmans teori har använts för
att ta reda på vad som ska framställas i filmen medan Bordwells teori applicerats på
frågan om hur filmen ska framställas. Inom det teoretiska ramverket finns även Stuart
Halls teori om representation för att kunna belysa teorierna av Goffman och Bordwell
utifrån ett gemensamt perspektiv. Fokusgruppmetoden har använts för att kvalitativt
samla information om vad en CV-film bör kommunicera till skillnad från ett skriftligt
CV. Samt hur den bör utformas för att vara så användbar som möjligt.
Resultatet visade att filmen inte bör vara längre än 2-3 minuter för att behålla
publikens intresse.
Från boklådor till agentbyrå - läsfrämjande åtgärder för barn och ungdomar i Jämtlands läns glesbygd åren 1997-1999
The purpose of this master thesis is to examine how librarians/cultural workers act in projects in order to stimulate and promote reading among children and youth in sparsely populated regions in the county of Jämtland during a period of three years, and if/how these projects differ. The examination is based upon the progress of these projects in four of eight communities. Four librarians and two cultural workers have been interviewed in order to get their view of the proceedings of the projects. The results indicate that the four communities all made up plans for three years but in different ways. They mainly collaborated with the school but also with the board of children's health and the preparatory school.

WEB SERVICES FÖR MOBILAPPLIKATIONER : Utveckling av säkra RESTful web services för mobilapplikationer
This report describes the development of a RESTful web service for mobile applications. The web service makes resources from an existing system called kompetensdatabasen ("the competence database") available. Kompetensdatabasen holds information about the capabilities of consultants and about assignments carried out at the IT consultant business Nethouse AB.The web service was developed according to the principles of REST and ROA (Resource Oriented Architecture) which puts focus on making resources available. The resources are made available through the HTTP protocol and the methods associated with it. This means it was designed to use the same technologies as the world wide web.
Svensk Filmmarknad VS Illegal Fildelning
Att den illegala fildelningen är ett problem för den svenska filmmarknaden som måste bekämpas är något som Antipiratbyrån vill framhålla. Piratbyrån å andra sidan menar att problemet inte är så stort och inte ens värt att lägga energi på. Vi ville därför undersöka hur den illegala fildelningen verkligen påverkar den svenska filmmarknaden. Detta gjordes genom att först intervjua både Antipiratbyrån och Piratbyrån för att få fram olika synsätt på problemområdet. Vi gjorde även en litteraturgenomgång där vi fann relevanta teorier som vi utformade vissa antaganden utifrån.

The development of applications for mobile devices has exploded in recent times. This has also led to the introduction of several new mobile operating systems. To streamline application development for multiple platforms, techniques have been developed to be able to reuse the same application regardless of the operating system. If the same application can be used on multiple platforms it will save both a lot of time and money. Today there are three types of techniques to develop an application; web, hybrid and native application, where the latter is specific to the operating system it has been developed to.
Filmkatalogisering: en behovs- och regelanalys
The aim of this thesis is to examine the characteristics of film cataloguing, and to compare general as in library use and specific as in archival use cataloguing rules. Most rules, both in archives and libraries, use the book as a point of reference. This is somewhat unfortunate on account of the great difference between books and films. The method used is studies of literature and qualitative interviews with three persons whose professional duties include cataloguing of films. The sets of rules which are studied are Katalogiseringsregler för svenska bibliotek KRS and The FIAF Cataloguing Rules for Film Archives.
Responsive Web design : Ett fullvärdigt alternativ till plattformsspecifik utveckling?
I och med lanseringen av nya och mobila plattformar, såsom smarttelefoner och surfplattor, uppstår svårigheter med att anpassa webbsidor för samtliga typer av enheter. Tidigare har mobila applikationer (appar) och mobila sidor använts för att överkomma dessa problem. Responsive Web Design (RWD) är en ung designprincip som uppkom 2010 och har anammats av många webbutvecklare. Designprincipen medför att en webbsidas presentation förändras beroende på skärmstorleken som används för att visa sidan. I en studie har fem företag intervjuats för att få deras tankar och åsikter om RWD i jämförelse med utveckling av mobila sidor och appar.

Women are subordinate of men in the society, this is visible both in work places and private lives. Equality between the sexes is daily discussed in politics and the private sphere. As this is a hot topic which is debated within many areas, one of those is film production, we chose to write this essay about how the view of women has changed in movies over time. If equality doesn?t exist within the film media, then it will be hard to change the society?s point of view.

(2) Assess how the National Post and Telecom Agency (PTS) has acted. (3) Assess how the operators have reacted. (4) Investigate the regulation?s effects upon competition.
Film som kommunikation : En studie av gymnasieungdomars filmarbete
The starting point for this work was a discussion between my supervisor and myself during my teaching training. The discussion concerned the appropriateness of allowing students make films with sexual content. Film gives young people the opportunity to express their feelings and broaden their views. If the film then disseminates to unknown people via in-ternet, which it most likely will do, maybe it is no longer so positive. The aim of this study is to shed light on various aspects of identity and ethics that are important to keep in mind when young people in school make films.
Avståndsvarnare till Mobiltelefon
This report describes a study, description and testing of parts to an application adapted to the operating system Android. The application is supposed to measure the distance to a car ahead. Apart from distance measurements the ability of the application to calculate its own speed with the help of GPS is tested. From these two parameters, speed, distance and some constants the theoretical stopping distance of the car will be calculated in order to warn the driver if the car is too close to the car ahead in relation to its own speed and stopping distance.Tests were conducted on the different applications that were programmed and the result showed that the camera technique in the mobile phone itself limits the maximum distance of the distance measurement application. The max distance the tests in this thesis revealed was approximately 5 meters.

This project report shows the work around a mockup to a three-dimensional avatar-making application. An avatar-making application is a computer-based software program in which it is possible to create your own personal virtual character. The possibility to use three-dimensional avatars can in the future be essential for adding extra personal information or characteristics to social communication over the internet or over mobile phones. The problem of transforming a physical form and reconstruct it to a virtual basis has been an important problem to solve for many companies and software developers in the, for instance, virtual worlds area. Methods and ideas over making this transformation is the key throughout this project.
