I detta kandidaterbete studeras Gauss hypergeometriska differentialekvation, samt hur den hypergeometriska funktionen kan anv?ndas f?r att l?sa kopplingsproblemet (jfr. eng. connection problem). Den hypergeometriska funktionen ger uttryck f?r de lokala l?sningarna kring differentialekvationens tre singulariteter.

Information about the risks involved shall be distributed to the people living in the area nearby to potentially dangerous installation. Swedish law stipulates strict requirements on what information should be supplied, but the law itself does not give any guidance on presentation. The main purpose of the study is to give recommendations on how to improve the information brochures. Within the study, eight people working with risk information have been interviewed and seven different risk information brochures have been studied. Also, a theoretical analysis and a practical experiment were performed using brochures from two municipalities.

In many earlier investigations a recall advantage of auditory lists spoken in a single voice has been found over recall of lists spoken in two alternating voices. One explanation proposed is an organization strategy which makes recall of alternating-voice lists so difficult. The strategy implies sorting same-voice words into same-voice groups at encoding. Based on this proposition, it was assumed that voice-by-voice recall would be better than recall in order of presentation, as then the recall instruction and the organization of items in memory would be in concordance. The present experiment tested and was unable to support this hypothesis.

All of them are expected to produce more and better content, in more and new channels and platforms, with less resources. Detta examensarbete på masternivå i Fysisk Planering är en kvalitativ studie som genom innehållsanalys och tematisering undersöker blandstaden som planeringsideal utifrån de anspråk som görs gällande problemlösning. Studien innefattar en presentation av praktikdiskurs, teori och empiri i form av kommunala översiktsplaner vilket studeras utifrån institutionalisering genom tankefigurer, spårbundenhet och kognitiv dissonans. Studien visar att blandstaden är en institutionaliserad, spårbunden tankefigur som i stort delar ideologisk grund med planeringsidealet modernism. This essay contents a theme-centred study of Elsa Grave?s poetry. It presents an all-pervading featured doom-theme and illuminates three motifs and attitudes through which the theme is featured. The presentation includes analyses that bear in mind the double perspectives within Grave?s poems ? the subjective and the universal, where also an omnipresent political attitude is represented.

This thesis is about how the library can help immigrants integrate into theswedish society. By studying leading documents of the libraries in Malmö,Stockholm and Umeå in search for how the relate to work consideringimmigrants and integration I have studied the library as a bridge betweenbeing included and excluded in the society. The thought is that the libraryopens the door to new worlds both for immigrants and born swedes toobtain knowledge about a culture different from their own.In my thesis I reached the conclusion that library on a day to day basisworks with the integrationprocess for immigrants. Although the leadingdocuments should evolve since they show gaps and seem somewhatmisguiding in their presentation of the libraries function. The librariesshould work more with analysis of the environment that they are active in sothat they are more individualized for the people around it.

The foundation for this thesis lies in whether or not, and how, the body representation in printed commercials, specific products directed to the body (shampoo, body lotion etc.), has changed during the last fifty years. Four years have been chosen because of the changes in society that we believe might have had an impact. The commercials that have been picked out are the ones that best represent the general view of the body. We have found that the changes when it comes to body presentation has followed the social development to a certain degree, but it is difficult to say how much the society has had an affect on the body ideal in advertising. Representations of the male body is something that has escalated since the early 70?s, fifteen years earlier few commercials was made with male models, and the few there were, never showed more than the face.

Friend lists allow Facebook users to group their friends and may be used to share certain information only with those in a specific list. This function has been around for several years, but has never gained any particular popularity among users, most of whom probably did not know it even existed a couple of years ago. In the fall of 2011, however, the function was updated and made more visible on the site.There are several possible uses of friend lists, such as privacy control, filtering of the news feed, self-presentation and targeted information sharing. This paper aims to investigate the extent to which friend lists are used by students today, as well as why students actually use their lists, i.e. for what purposes.Judging from the results of this study in comparison with earlier research, there seems to have been a somewhat recent increase in the awareness of the fact that friend lists actually do exist, but still most users tend not to utilize them.

Denna undersökning handlade om mobila förskolans verksamhet där barnen hade möjlighet att vistas på varierande platser i naturen. I studien lade jag fokus på barnens egna initierade aktiviteter som skedde på olika platser och i olika miljöer och deras interaktion med naturen. Syftet av detta arbete var att undersöka betydelse av den mobila förskolans platsvariation när det gäller barnens egenvalda aktiviteter i naturen. I undersökningen används följande frågeställningar:? Vilka aktiviteter väljer barnen på olika uteplatser och i olika miljöer?? Hur använder de miljö och material?? Vilken betydelse har variationen av plats och miljö när det gäller barnens val av aktiviteter?För att få svar på frågeställningarna åkte jag under en fyra dagars period i en buss som hörde till en mobil förskola och observerade barnens aktiviteter i varierande miljöer och platser med hjälp av ett observationsschema.

Mandometermetoden hjälper personer med ätstörningar genom att med träning lära dem ätapå ?rätt? sätt med en produkt som kallas Mandometer®. Detta sker genom att användarna viadisplayen på Mandometers® handdator får återkoppling på om de äter för fort eller förlångsamt under måltiden. Mando Group AB, företaget som utvecklat Mandometermetoden,har även tagit fram ett datorprogram som fungerar som en simulering av en måltid medMandometer®. Syftet med det här arbetet var att undersöka om träning med denna simuleringskulle kunna ge samma effekt som träning med Mandometer®.

Arbetets syfte är att undersöka hur bildtolkning fungerar som metod för att nå insikt i ungdomars tankar kring jämställdhet, feminism och genus. Jag är också intresserad av hur bilder kan användas i undervisning utanför bildämnet, hur bilder kan användas som en visuell presentation till ett perspektiv eller begrepp, här till det feministiska perspektivet och genusbegreppet. Tillfälle att undersöka detta dök upp genom samtal med en lärarstudent som genomförde sin ämnespraktik i psykologi men även undervisade två klasser i det ämne som kallas livskunskap och idag undervisas på vissa skolor. Kursens mål är bland annat att ta upp genusrelaterade frågor. 53 elever har genom en enkät med öppna svarsalternativ tolkat en bild med feministiska tolkningsmöjligheter.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka hur väl webbplatsen för Karlstad Universitetsbibliotek möter studenters behov på mobila enheter, samt huruvida de anser att en biblioteksapp skulle utgöra ett behövligt komplement i framtiden. Uppsatsen riktar sig främst till Karlstads Universitetsbibliotek men kan även tänkas vara av intresse för bibliotek vid liknande lärosäten.För ändamålet upprättades två prototyper, varav den ena representerade befintlig webbplats på mobiltelefoner, medan den andra utgjorde ett exempel på hur en biblioteksapp skulle kunna se ut. Under jämförelsetester fick sedan studenter genomföra en grupprumsbokning och söka upp en elektronisk resurs i respektive prototyp samt besvara enkätfrågor.Av resultatet att döma finns ett intresse kring en biblioteksapp bland Karlstad Universitets studenter, då de gärna vill ha tillgång till bibliotekets tjänster på sina mobiltelefoner även om befintlig webbplats upplevs som krånglig på denna plattform. These policies can be introduced since the political pressure from threatened industries is usually much stronger than the pressure from the consumers who will bear the burden of protectionism.

This thesis deals with the question of how and to what degree Swedish history books for schools changed between the early 20th century and the 1960s. The theoretical foundation for this study is a perspective which treats historical accounts as narratives, bringing meaning and orientation to the present. According to this perspective, historical accounts may be divided into four different types of narratives, traditional, exemplary, critical and genetical. The basis for this division is how the narratives use the past to make the present understandable.The following conclusions are reached:That Swedish history books for schools have changed less, and in a moore gradual way than those dealing with general history. There is a growing use of genetical narratives at the expense of mainly exemplary ones.
