Postoperativ återhämtning är en viktig del när patienten genomgår ett kirurgiskt ingrepp. Efter operation vårdas patienten för rehabilitering samt för observation och behandling av eventuella anestesiologiska och/eller kirurgiska komplikationer. Som ett resultat av utvecklingen av anestesiologisk och kirurgisk teknik (till exempel minimal invasiv kirurgi och standardisering av operationsmetoder) har den postoperativa vårdtiden på sjukhuset minskat. Genom denna effektivisering så minskar kostnaderna och fler patienter kan opereras inom kortare tid i jämförelse mot tidigare.Författarna till den här studien arbetar på en kirurgavdelning där patienter vårdas som bland annat har genomgått kolorektal kirurgi. Uppföljning av patienternas postoperativa återhämtning på avdelningen sker enligt fasta kliniska rutiner genom till exempel kontroll av kroppstemperatur, blodtryck, andning, smärta och magtarmfunktion.

ABSTRACTIntroduction: Scientists have over the last centuries realized that presurgical reduction of bacterial skin flora decreases the surgical site infections. Sponges, showers and washing with Chlorhexidine is today a standard procedure. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to describe the patient?s experience of the information given to them about the preoperative showers with hibiscrub. Method: Semi-structured interviews were used to collect the data, and content analysis was used to analys the data.

In 1930 a new library reform came into force, which in reality was the beginning of the modern Swedish library. The purpose of this reform was to take measures to promote efficiency, for example to increase library co-operation. The Government grants were at the same time raised considerably. However, as early as in 1930, but especially the following year, the depression hit Sweden. The Government reduced the grants until the first half of 1936.

People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

Barn som ska opereras upplever den okända situationen som stressfylld och obehaglig. Denna litteraturstudies syfte var att belysa vad anestesisjuksköterskan kan göra för att minska oro och rädsla för barn och föräldrar i samband med anestesi. Efter analys av 16 artiklar blev resultatet fyra kategorier; information, åtgärder i förberedelsefasen, åtgärder vid anestesitillfället och bedömning av oro. Informationen ska vara omfattande och detaljrik och även beröra den postoperativa smärtlindringen. Internetprogram kan vara bra komplement till traditionell information.

Under år 2004 inrättades PKC (Polisens kontaktcenter) i Sverige. I samband med detta fick polisen i januari år 2005 ett nationellt telefonnummer för icke akuta ärenden. Bakomliggande studier visade att det fanns ett behov av att förbättra polisens service och tillgänglighet. Arbetet syftar till att undersöka hur personalen i Norrbotten och Västerbotten upplever sin arbetssituation före kontra efter införandet av ett nationellt kontaktcenter. Vi har därför varit i kontakt med personal som är ansvariga för övervakandet och utvecklandet av PKC i Sverige och intervjuat personal på PKC i de berörda länen för att verklighetsförankra arbetet.

Vi har prövat huruvida Allisons teori fortfarande kan förklara utrikespolitiskt agerande genom att pröva den på Irakkrisen. Detta har operationaliserats genom en systematisk genomgång av tillgängligt material som behandlar uppsatsämnet.Efter att ha betraktat Irakkrisen utifrån Allisons tre olika modeller kan vi konstatera att teorin fortfarande är bärkraftig. Dock behövs viss komplettering till den 30 år gamla teorin ? i form av en inrikespolitisk analys, bredare organisationsanalys samt en djupare value- och beliefsystem-analys ? för att kunna åstadkomma en fylligare undersökning som förenar Allisons modeller med dagens verklighet..

The object of this essay was to illustrate and analyse what determines that a contract treatment investigation for a drug addict is initiated and what factors influence the investigation itself, from the probation service officer's perspective.We selected the following two questions:- What does the probation service officer see as being the deciding factor for a contract treatment investigation to be initiated?- What questions appear in a contract treatment investigation and how do they influence the investigation, according to the probation service officer?To find answers to these questions we conducted interviews with 11 probation service officers, during November and December 2005, at three different locations across Skåne. We decided to use the qualitative method for collecting the data we needed.In our essay we came to the conclusion that the will and motivation of the client is a deciding factor whether or not a contract treatment investigation is to be initiated. An important collaborator in this process is the social services. According to the probation service officers, many of the problems that may appear in the co-operation are due to the tough economic constraints experienced by the social services.

Rätten att demonstrera i Sverige är grundlagsskyddad. Det är polisen uppgift att skydda både tillståndsgivna och icke tillståndsgivna demonstrationer utan att göra avkall på säkerheten och ordningen. Till sin hjälp har polisen ett antal verktyg i form av lagstöd i bl.a. Polislagen och Ordningslagen. Justitieombudsmannen (JO) är den som övervakar polisens arbete och har möjlighet att kritisera polisen för ingripanden som inte haft stöd i lag eller som annars har varit felaktiga.

Kunskap om mäns upplevelser av att leva med urininkontinens tidigt postoperativt efter genomförd prostatektomi krävs för att hälso- och sjukvårdspersonal ska kunna erbjuda en god omvårdnad till dessa individer. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva mäns upplevelser av att leva med urininkontinens upp till ett år efter genomförd prostatektomi till följd av diagnostiserad prostatacancer. En litteratursökning genomfördes vilket resulterade i sexton vetenskapliga studier vilka analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats. Analysen resulterade i sex kategorier; Att inte veta vad som väntade; Att hålla den genanta urininkontinensen dold; Att få en förändrad självuppfattning; Att leva ett begränsat och inskränkt liv; Att ifrågasätta operationens värde; samt Att försöka bemästra och ta sig igenom situationen. Män med urininkontinens efter genomförd prostatektomi har ett behov av information och stöd.

The graduation essay has been carried out in co-operation with Kalmar Industries in Lidhult, Sweden. The purpose of our essay was to develop a complete construction solution on a hoist that could lift a laying wheel, lift it up and then turn it 90 degrees. After that the wheel shall be placed in a special holder.The background of the essay is a record of reports of damage wheels when they been incorrect lifted with a forklift. The hoist shall be used together with the same forklifts that manage the wheels today. Together with our instructor at Kalmar Industries we developed a requirement specification and from that we got free hands.However this was not the main task from the beginning, then a simular hoist should be develop but used directly in the assembly workshop without using a forklift.We started to find principle solutions that later was evaluated against the requirement specification.

AbstractThe aim of this study was to illuminate and collect existing research from the beginning of the 21 st century about nurses work environment in institutional and elderly care in Sweden.A literature review was made by analyzing eleven scientific articles. The result showed mainly information about nurses work load. The information dealt with high work demands, too much responsibility, shortage of staff, time press and stress. Furthermore nurses reported a lack of co-operation between staff and management. An important part in nurses? work was appreciation from colleagues, management, patients and relatives.

The aim of this study is to analyze the process of an agenda setting and see how a specific issue came to materialize on the security policy agenda. The empirical goal of the study is to see why Sweden chose to participate in the EU-led operation to Chad, and how that process came to be? The analysis is based upon Kingdon's multiple streams theory (2003) where he distinguishes the process into three streams. Central for his theory is the coupling of these streams and the importance of a policy entrepreneur. I complement Kingdon's theory of policy entrepreneurs by taking inspiration from Hinnfors (1995), Gustavsson (1999) and especially Eriksson (2000) and their analysis of policy change and agenda setting.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate and clarify the facts surrounding one of Vattenfall's district heating plants; The "solar field" and associated rock cavern in Lyckebo, Storvreta. The plant was built in the '80s by the formerly municipal utility,Uppsalakraftvärme AB, as an experimental building. A ground water filled cavern would serve as seasonal storage of solar heat from an adjacent solar field. Since both the energy company and the facility itself has undergone major changes over the past 30 years, there was a great need to gather facts in order to provide a picture of its current condition and potential for continued use. The thesis investigates the plant's history and problems with the rock cavern losses, and how the operation developed. It also presents the calculations regarding the possibilities of again supplementing the facility with solar energy - which is not the case today - as well as the economic conditions for it. Regarding a re-launch of solar energy, primarily a concentrating solar collector has been studied, as it has the advantages of an integrated control system.
