This paper deals with village history around Millstone quarry Eastern Utsjö in Malung, Sweden, in the hope of finding deposits that could date the quarry, in that the quarry in the current situation is dated only by the Millstone fragments outside the resort. My purpose was to conduct a discussion on the quarry alone can be dated by deposits outside the resort. I have used FMIS RAÄ:s fornsök and a lot of literature to identify village history. The results showed that it is not possible to date the Millstone quarry from village history, but through deposits outside the resort of Malung, which have been found around Mälardalen, Sweden through archaeological excavations, and derived from the Millstone quarry Eastern Utsjö, can put an age on the quarry..

The Swedish Government has decided that Wind power should have a higher contribution to the electricity generation in Sweden. Their goal is that, by 2015, the yearly production by Wind power should generate 10 TWh. In year of 2006, the 760 wind Mills in Sweden generated only 0,936 TWh. Despite good wind conditions in a large extend of Sweden's land- and coast areas, the slow rate of new wind Mills establishments will likely result in unattainable goals. The major problem for new establishments of wind Mills is the extensive and complicated permission process. An expert group of environmental studies (Expertgruppen för miljöstudier) was commissioned by the Government to make a report concerning the problems with the expansion of wind power in Sweden.

This master thesis investigates quality procedures and measuring of solid carbide end Mills, with the main focus on measuring equipment. The thesis has been written in collaboration with a special production department for solid carbide end Mills at Sandvik Coromant in Gimo. The department?s needs and constraints have been the foundation of the project and the main research question is: how to measure end Mills in order to ensure good quality of the produced end Mills. The project has contained both a theoretical study consisting of a literature review and practical studies in the workshop with the objective to identify an end mill?s main parameters and the relationship between an end mill?s geometry and the manufacturing processes.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om Karl Marx och Wright Mills teorier om alienation går att koppla till en högstadiemusiklärares arbetssituation och hur denna koppling i så fall ser ut. Eftersom tankarna och teorierna om alienation berör mångt och mycket så har jag valt att behrönsa teorianvändningen till två perspektiv som jag kallar det ideala arbetet(från Karl Marx) och alienation som diskrepansteori(från Wright Mills). Dessa teorier har i sin tur omformats till hypoteser för att underlätta analysen. Metoden som jag har valt för denna undersökning är samtalsintervju och jag har intervjuat fem musiklärare verksamma på högstadiet. Ur undersökningens resultat och analys framgår det att det i stora drag finns fyra orsaker till en potentiell alienering: viljan att lära känna eleverna, betygssystemet och kursmålen, de skriftliga omdömena och arbetsbördan.

Syftet är att undersöka myndigheterna polisen och brottsofferjourens uppfattningar om det oprovocerade ungdomsvåldets orsaker. Frågorna är: Vad har Polisen och Brottsofferjouren för uppfattningar om orsakerna till det oprovocerade ungdomsvåldet? Hur rimliga är uppfattningarna? En kvinna på Brottsofferjouren, och en manlig polis intervjuades. Kurirens artikelserie 2005 beskriver det oprovocerade ungdomsrelaterade gatuvåldet under några månader hösten 2005 i Luleå. CW Mills regler/ konformitet, och Durkheims socialt/ strukturellt/moraliskt tvång tas upp.

This bachelor thesis is about civilian marching bands in the province Värmland industrial communities, with a focus on Degerfors, Edsvalla, Gruvön, Nors, Slottsbron, and Vålberg bands. Degerfors, Gruvön, and Slottsbron bands are three corps that still operates concerts and performances. The other three unions are defunct.In Värmland, there were many Mills that were operating well into the 1900s, roughly speaking there were about 25 Mills in various industrial areas. These Mills had operations in glass, iron, and paper, each user had a band at least a brass sextet and today there are only eight bands left in Värmland. Bofors in Karlskoga, Charlottenberg, Degerfors, Dejefors, Gruvöns in Grums, Hagfors, Skoghall, and Slottsbron bands.What is the reason that so many bands have disappeared? To answer the question I have investigated the importance of four factors have had for the unions: finance, recruitment collaboration with the music and arts, as well as cooperation with educational associations.The results show a marked reduction in civil bands, from about 25 corps to eight corps today.

Det här är en uppsats om svenskt jämställdhetsarbete. Under lång tid har Sverige haft en familjepolitik med höga mål. Ett av de viktigaste målen idag handlar om jämställdhet mellan män och kvinnor. Uppsatsens syfte är att med hjälp av Mills problemuppdelning i allmänna problem och personliga bekymmer analysera föräldraförsäkringens roll för ett jämställt Sverige och huruvida föräldraförsäkringen kan leda till ökad jämställdhet.Vi har använt oss av Tillys teori om kategoriell ojämlikhet, Elias teori om etablerade och outsiders, Giddens struktureringsteori och Mills allmänna problem och personliga bekymmer. Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ textanalys av lagen om föräldraledighet, tidigare forskning och statistik.Resultatet vi har kommit fram till är att föräldraförsäkringen är ett medel för att lösa ett allmänt problem, men att brister i dess utformning skapar personliga bekymmer hos föräldrarna.

Today's society is facing major challenges. In order to reduce the climate impact fossil fuels should be replaced with fuels that do not contribute to the greenhouse effect. The growing population generates organic waste originating from industry and households so called organic fraction of municipal solid waste (OFMSW). Through anaerobic digestion, waste can be utilized to produce energy-rich methane gas. In this way, waste can be a resource instead of a burden on society.

Jag har ett huvudsyfte och ett delsyfte med denna uppsats. Huvudsyftet är att studera familjehemmet som ett komplement till det biologiska hemmet och delsyftet är att se i vilken utsträckning John Stuart Mills teorier är tillämpbara i Förenta Nationernas (FN) konvention om barns rättigheter. För att kunna genomföra studien kommer jag att ha följande frågeställningar: Vilka barn ska enligt lagstiftningen placeras i familjehem? Vilka mål finns det med en familjehemsplacering? Hur går en utredning till när ett barn ska placeras i familjehem? Vad krävs av familjehemmet för att barn ska placeras där? Jag behandlar endast familjehem i Sverige och de barn som uppfyller kraven för att placeras i familjehem. Slutsatsen är att barn som utsätts för bland annat misshandel och sexuella övergrepp i det biologiska hemmet kan placeras i familjehem.

This study concerns mapping and analysing two different Supply Chains at Setra Group. Setra Group is Sweden?s biggest producer of solid wood and is primarily owned by Sveaskog, Mellanskog and LRF. The Company consist of twelve sawMills, five planning Mills and an organisation for distribution of building material. This study maps one chain for Swedish Glulam standard beam and one chain for solid pine flooring on export to Japan. The glulam chain is based on spruce as raw material and includes all actors between sawmill and the Swedish building material retailers.

This thesis describes how the chip space and coolant channels are designed in today?s Mills, the ideas behind the design and what is considered to be the best method of cooling. It contains ideas on how the chip space can be simplified. It contains several concepts on how the cooling could be designed for better efficiency and manufacturability. There are also suggestions on how the cooling could be stopped when the cutter isn?t cutting.

Forestry supply chains are a significant part of the Swedish economy. These supply chains are highly susceptible to storms damage. In late 2013 Sweden was hit by multiple storms. This leads to the possibility to research how supply chains react to the shocks that storms cause. The aim of this thesis is to research the costs that storms increase, the actions that are taken within the forestry supply chain, as well as possible benefactors from storms. This thesis bases on previous work on supply chain mapping and cost theories.

The forest industry is one of the most important industry branches in Sweden. Since the demand of high precision wood deliveries has increased, the demand on a well constructed forest road net also has increased. A good road net gives the wood-supplier competition advantages and also increases its service level towards its customers, lumber-Mills and pulp-Mills. In some parts of Norrbotten, the road net is still insufficient and not yet built out enough, and that is why it is important to know how to act and where to improve the road net in these areas. The purpose of this thesis was to create a work-model for long term road planning in areas with no road net or a not yet complete road net. The model has been created in an ArcGis environment, where a long chain of tools has been tied together with the program ?Model builder?.
