This bachelor thesis is based on how the two cultural institutions in Sweden have been working onincreasing physical accessibility. Based on the three objectives specified by the Swedish Kulturrådet(Swedish Arts Council). These points are 1.forming a workplace strategy, 2. Work to remove simpleobstacles in buildings and 3.Improved Web access in regard to the accessibility for physically disabled.The work regarding the accessibility goals is set on the time frame 2011-2016. The institutions studiedin this paper are Wermland Opera and Västanå Teater and how the two institutions have worked toimplement the three objectives and how the discussion about the accessibility within the two theaters hasbeen organized.The method of information gathering in this paper has been interviews with representatives from the twotheaters.

BarnOPAC is a Swedish library interface for children. It was launched in public libraries in Sweden in 2001 and has now become a part of library software equipment in several public libraries. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate the interface BarnOPAC on the basis of the childrens perspective. The questions raised consider: how children experience and handle this interface, how library staff experience it and what viewpoints librarians have on childrens use of it. For this purpose we implemented a user study including eight children using the interface in a school library.

Motivation är viktigt för människor, både i arbetslivet och livet generellt. Motivation kan huvudsakligen indelas i inre och yttre motivation, beroende på vilken avsikt individen haft med sina handlingar. En individ som drivs av inre motivation till en handling, utför den eftersom själva aktiviteten upplevs som intressant eller tillfredsställande. Handlingar baserade på yttre motivation har sin grund i något annat än själva aktiviteten, exempelvis ekonomisk belöning. Syftet med studien var att jämföra möjliga skillnader mellan manliga respektive kvinnliga högskolelärare avseende inre och yttre motivation.

Allt fler organisationer strävar idag efter att skapa mångfald på arbetsplatsen. Tidigare forskning indikerar positiva effekter för de organisationer som har lyckats med implementeringen av mångfaldsinitiativ, såsom förbättrat finansiellt resultat och ökade marknadsandelar till följd av en bredare kundbas. Implementeringen av mångfaldsinitiativ är dock förknippad med en hel del svårigheter. Tidigare studier har bland annat visat att organisationens storlek, begränsad tillgång till resurser och en oförmåga att acceptera mångfaldsinitiativ kan utgöra barriärer till en lyckad implementering. Syftet med studien är således att utforska de största barriärerna till att implementera centrala mångfaldsinitiativ i en stor organisation.

The essay's aim is to explain how responsibility distribution between private and public bodies, primarily within three important service areas, can be visualised in light of the fact that they have experienced different forms of readjustment. We have chosen to study this by looking at the restoration work taking place after the hurricane Gudrun swept across southern Sweden on January 8-9, 2005; and we have chosen to concentrate on the service areas of electricity- and telephone supply, and public transport. The responsibility distribution has been depicted by carrying out qualitative interviews with employees within both private and public bodies included in the restoration work. The conclusion produced is that there were obscurities in the formal responsibility distribution between private and public actors taking place in conjunction with the hurricane restoration work.In a deeper analysis, the result can be explained by a ?several hands? problem arising since the number of actors has increased as the public sphere has adopted leadership forms influenced by the private business sector.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om dagens skola använder ämnesintegrerad undervisning mellan musik och matematik och på vilket sätt. I tidigare forskning undersöks även hur musik och matematik är kopplade till varandra och vilket samband de har emellan sig. Metoderna som används är både enkäter och intervjuer som består av frågor kring ämnesintegrerad undervisning i dagens skola. Både enkäterna och intervjuerna har genomförts på två skolor i samma kommun. Enkäterna har delats ut och har besvarats av tolv musik- och/eller matematiklärare i årskurs 1-3.

The aim of this essay was to investigate what images are conveyed through Swedish daily press and to discuss the possible consequences of these images for librarians and users of the library. What discourses can be identified in the material; how are librarians and their profession described in the press; what attitude can be detected towards librarians and in what contexts are librarians discussed, are questions that were asked. Discourse analysis was used as theory and method. A discourse can be understood as a certain way of talking about and understanding the world. 55 articles from the period of January 1^st 2002 to March 7^th 2003 were analysed with the help of a model.

Att det finns män som slår och kränker sina kvinnor som de lever ihop med är ett faktum. Denna handling känns främmande för de allra flesta i vårt samhälle. Men det finns män som inte vet hur de skall hantera sin ilska och frustration som de bär på. I situationer där de flesta av oss hade knutit handen i fickan och gått därifrån så väljer istället dessa män att ta till våld. Men det finns hjälp att få för dessa män.

Determination of serum thymidine kinase 1 (TK-1) activity is used as a tumour marker in both human and veterinary medicine. TK-1 is an intracellular enzyme involved in a salvage pathway of DNA synthesis. The expression of TK-1 is cell cycle dependent and the activity increases markedly after the G1 to S transition in the cell cycle and then declines rapidly in G2. The pronounced proliferative activity in tumour cells result in a higher TK-1 enzyme activity within the cell. The fact that the increased TK-1 activity can be measured in serum makes TK-1 a useful marker in diagnostics of neoplastic diseases and it provides information regarding prognosis and treatment effectiveness. In human medicine a radioactive based test is used to determine the TK-1 serum activity.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if vacuum insulation panels are a competitive alternative to traditional insulation.Vacuum insulation has been used as insulation in buildings in Germany and Switzerland for a few years. In Sweden the high-performance insulation material is mainly used in refrigerators, freezers and vacuum thermoses. The development is proceeding well and vacuum insulation is becoming more common in the construction industry. Since it is a relatively unexplored material on the market there are many flaws and problems with the material.The questions we have chosen to answer in this report include an increased knowledge of vacuum insulation, various problems that may arise when handling/installation and the pros and cons of vacuum insulation compared to standard traditional insulation.The methods we have chosen to use in this report is a literature study, interviews with various suppliers and manufactures and calculations to show the differences between traditional and vacuum insulation. Vacuum insulation is 5-10 times better insulation than standard traditional mineral wool insulation, mainly at the beginning of its lifetime.Vacuum insulation panels (VIP) have a service life of approximately 50 years, whereas traditional insulation has a service life of approximately 100 years.

Syftet med studien är att ur ett språkteoretiskt perspektiv undersöka hur elever i grundskolans högre år talar om musik. Teorier om språkutveckling och språk har använts för att påvisa samband mellan språkutveckling och utveckling inom andra områden. Betoningen har här främst legat på musikämnet. Teorierna understryker helhetsperspektivets roll i den språkutvecklande miljön. Integrering av språk, tanke och handling framhålls som viktig och grundläggande för att bidra till det meningsskapande som utgör grunden för allt lärande.

Linde Material Handling AB har på kort tid gått från att vara ett litet familjeföretag till att bli en av Sveriges största truckleverantörer. Orderingången har vuxit fort men stora delar av företaget har inte riktigt följt med i utvecklingen vilket har resulterat i att de idag har problem att hålla utlovade leveranstider och att leverera produkter av rätt kvalitet.Utifrån en kartläggning av processen från det att en truck säljs till dess att allt material finns hemma identifieras de brister och kritiska punkter som är roten till problemen. Processkartan i kombination med en nulägesbeskrivning ska ge ett antal förbättringsförslag där lösningar på problemen tas upp och analyseras.Den största bristen som identifierats i processen var främst avsaknaden av ett för företaget gemensamt planeringssystem. I dag använder olika avdelningar olika system vilka ofta består av avancerade Excelfiler och i andra fall av att information lagras i huvudet hos någon anställd. Detta i sin tur resulterar i svårigheter med uppföljning av de sålda truckarna.

Investment costs for eight different type housing systems for dairy cows has been calculated in order to compare the building costs as a function of herd size, shelter type and automatization. A commercial calculation programme for building was used and complemented with prices of equipments specific for dairy cow building. Herd sizes were 120, 250 and 400 cows. The milking equipments were automatic milking system (AMS), parallel parlour with 32 stalls (2x16) and rotary parlour with 24 stalls. Shelter was either insulated equipped with automatic cable driven scrapers on solid alleys, automatic feed wagon on rails, or uninsulated with manual manure handling and a tractor driven mobile mixer wagon on a drive-through feeding table. Building cost per cow or per kg milk was calculated using an average life time and 6 % interest rate and annual milk yield is 9 500 kg/cow and year. Structure effect 3-4 % higher for an insulated structure than in an uninsulated for 400 and 120 herd respectively. This is much lower compared to what is normally argued.

The ammonia emissions are an environmental issue since they contribute to eutrophication. By far the largest source of ammonia emissions is manure from agriculture and should therefore be reduced. Loss of ammonia is not only negative for the environment but also to the farmer who loses nitrogen that could have been used by the crop. The focus of this study has been emissions from spreading slurry where the loss can vary widely depending on slurry-, soil-, and weather conditions. There are mainly two different ways to reduce the emissions. One is to inject or mix the slurry into the ground to avoid air contact. The other way is to use acid to reduce the pH in the slurry to a level between 5 and 6 where the equilibrium is so strongly pushed to NH4+ that hardly any NH3 can be lost.

Syftet med denna undersökning var dels att undersöka kopplingar mellan olika kunskaper och handlingar som kan kopplas till utnyttjandet av jordens ekologiska kapacitet. Dels att undersöka om det fanns ett naturvetenskapligt ämnesfokus då det gäller undervisning för hållbar utveckling. Målgruppen var verksamma gymnasielärare inom ämneskategorierna naturorienterade ämnen, samhällsorienterade ämnen och språk.I undersökningen användes enkäter med flervals frågor rörande matvanor, boende och transporter dessa utgjorde underlag till ett ekologiskt fotavtryck. I enkäten undersöktes också var läraren upplevde att undervisning för hållbar utveckling hade sitt fokus på skolan. Resultaten pekar mot att det fanns ett tydligt fokus på naturvetenskapliga ämnen då det gäller undervisning för hållbar utveckling på de två skolorna.
