Course:Master thesis in Business Economy Purpose:By describe the processes of problem solving in two different projects of our two chosen knowledge companies, we will clarify whether problem solving contributes to the generation of organizational knowledge. The purpose of this research is to increase the management consciousness concerning everyday processes that will contribute to the creation and transfer of knowledge. This is a condition to transfer human capital to structure capital and thereby decrease the company?s vulnerability. Approach:We gathered the data we needed through conversations and interviews with people on the two knowledge companies.

I detta kandidatarbete skapas en animation för att visualisera användarinstruktioner för en balpress. Förberedelser utförs i 3D-CADprogramvaran Geomagic Design 2014 innan arbetet med animeringen påbörjas i programmet SimLab Composer Animation. I förberedelserna rensas modellerna och modifieras. Modeller som saknas skapas. I detta förslag på visualisering av ett moment i användning av balpressen är i syfte att underlätta för brukaren hur den snabbt kan använda maskinen. Användarens perspektiv sätts i fokus hur den kan tänkas betrakta och uppfatta maskinen genom instruktionerna i animeringen.

This report contains CFD-simulations of cable tray fires in nuclear power plant applications with the CFD-code SMAFS. Furthermore the report evaluates the use of CFD-codes within this kind of problems. The assessment of this report is that there is a tendency towards the good use of CFD-codes but before using it solely more research has to be done on the subject..

AbstractThis bachelor thesis has been assigned by the company ACG Nyström, Borås. ACG Nyström is working in cooperation with a Swiss company named Jentschmann AG. Jentschmann is a manufacturer of ultra sonic welding machines which ACG Nyström is marketing in Scandinavia and the Baltic States. On behalf of Jentschmann AG the company has the aim to introduce the ultra sonic welding technique to new companies.The aim of this thesis is to compare traditional sewing machines with ultra sonic welding machines within two textile areas, protective clothing and outdoor living.Two investigative questions have been formulated for this purpose: what are the differences between a sewing machine and an ultra sonic welding machine? Is it possible to replace the sewing technology with ultra sonic welding? These stand as guidance for this paper.To gather knowledge interviews, literature studies, and tests on two different ultra sonic welding machines were performed.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to through a theoretical analyze, investigate the conditions and the challenges for a consolidated democracy in Egypt from 1952 until after the revolution of 2011. The central question in this thesis is what opportunities and challenges are there for the democratic consolidation in Egypt, with respect to civic, political and economic conditions. How have the conditions developed between 1952 and 2011? How has the transition government/military government handled the central problems in the transitions phase after 2011? The theory used in this analysis is Linz and Stepans famous five arenas (the political society, the economic society, the civil society, the bureaucracy and the state of rule, whit focus on the three first). Through a qualitative case study we have analyzed the conditions in Egypt from 1952 to after the revolution 2011.The empirical material shows that the arenas in Egypt are both historically and current very weak, and they are not supporting democratic consolidation as they are challenged by several enormous problems.

Words like pirates and anti-pirates are becoming common features in the cultural political debate of today, and the file-sharing phenomenon has become a more and more delicate and disputed subject. The fact that people are organizing in networks to swap computerfiles with each other has, among other things, led film and music companies from all over the world to initiate a number of anti-piracy organizations, assigned to protect the right to culture and information. The industrial organization Antipiratbyrån (the Anti-pirate Bureau) and the network Piratbyrån (the Pirate Bureau) have on several occasions been used to represent the prevailing conflict in Sweden. The purpose of this study is to apply a sociological perspective to the collective act of file sharing. Additionally, the purpose is to argue that the activity can be understood as a social movement, although it is rarely referred to as such.

Alltsedan de moderna staterna började sin formering i mitten av 1600-talet har militariseringen allt mer knutits till statsmakten.Vilket är förhållandet mellan stat, krig och organiserat våld? Kan studiet av historien om dessa soldater hjälpa oss att förstå dagens PMC och kan vi i så fall sia om dess framtid?.

The report describes an ecodesign thesis performed by the author at the ÅF EcoDesign Center. The basic idea of ecodesign is to develop products with a minimized environmental load, without neglecting other significant product aspects such as function and price. During the last couple of years the public interest in environmental friendly products has increased, which has made it possible for companies to make a profit from their investments in ecodesign. To meet the increasing market for ecodesign services ÅF started the ÅF EcoDesign Center, where the company has gathered all of their competence in ecodesign in order to help companies to become greener. The task was to develop a tool for an Eco Screening.

With the rise of the internet especially and information- and communication technology in general, the opportunities for fast and effective communication and sharing of information have proliferated. In relation to the new technologies, the citizens? demands on organizations? communicative efforts have increased. Today?s citizens have high standards regarding transparency, the opportunity to dialogue and have hopes to influence the public sector.

In 1998 Sweden accepted the Treaty of Amsterdam which contained a development of the common foreign and security policy (CFSP) towards a European security and defense policy (ESDP). This thesis aims at studying the decision making process behind the Swedish foreign policy decision to further develop its security policy within the European Union. The purpose is to explain which factors and conditions that did affect and influence the Swedish foreign policy decision. The research applies foreign policy analysis, a theoretical perspective that analyzes both domestic and international conditions using different levels of analysis. The research methods being used has been qualitative as well as quantitative, complemented by interviews, since the research is a process tracing case study.The thesis conclusion is that the Swedish decision is explained by several factors.

Under våren 2005 fastställs doktrinen för markoperationer i den svenska Försvarsmakten.Doktrinen bygger på manövertänkandet, något som rimligen bör påverka hur armén bedriverförbandsövningar. För att kunna införa en ny doktrin krävs att den efterlevs, prövas ochutvärderas, inte minst för att kunna utveckla densamma. Det är förhållandevis enkelt att rentintellektuellt bekänna sig till de teorier om manöverkrigföring som doktrinen bygger på, det ärdesto svårare att tillämpa manöverkrigföringens principer och att skapa förbandsövningar som gördet möjligt att tillämpa dem. Problemet som studeras i denna uppsats är således följande:Återspeglas manöverkrigföringskonceptet i arméns slutövning (RSÖ-04 Dubbeleken)?Mitt påstående är att armén under RSÖ-04 inte övar manöverkrigföring i den utsträckning somkrävs för att kunna införa och utveckla manövertänkandet inom armén.Syftet med uppsatsen är att kartlägga förekomsten av manöverkrigföringskonceptets centraladelar, läs principer, i arméns slutövning (RSÖ-04).

Syftet med detta kandidatarbete var att sätta samman ett promopaket bestående av en webbsida och en demo-EP med passande grafisk design. EP:n har tre spår elektroakustisk instrumentalmusik av skiftande karaktär, samt ett stilrent men ändå suggestivt omslag. Den svenska Försvarsmakten har under en smärtsam process genomgått en reform från det gamla invasionsförsvaret till det nya insatsförsvaret. Det har i sin tur påverkat var och när uppgifter skall lösas, den mentala förberedelsen syftar inte längre till att enbart försvara rikets gränser. Svenskatrupper finns idag på ett flertal platser världen men jag vill belysa insatsen i Afghanistan. Den svensk/finska kontingenten har förstärkts med Stridsfordon 9040, ett system konstruerat för ett subarktiskt klimat. Denna uppsats vill bidra med en uppfattning om Stridsfordon 90 är lämpad att lösa uppgifter i Afghanistan och i förlängningen ge ett underlag för en diskussion om det är rätt att systemet finns i insatsområdet.

Grunden för examensarbetet är den tävling om nytt stadsbibliotek i Stockholm som Stockholms stad utlyste 2006. Det nuvarande stadsbiblioteket från 1928, ritat av Erik Gunnar Asplund, är en av Sveriges mest kända byggnader. Uppgiften har varit att rita en tillbyggnad som kan bilda en helhet tillsammans med det nuvarande biblioteket. Det har handlat om att först värdera det som finns idag och sedan tillföra något för framtiden..

This master thesis is an early concept development project about using plastic films and sheets as materials for shaping openings for Tetra Pak packages. It is also a technical introduction highlighting the areas of importance for the development of plastic film and sheets openings. The master thesis has been carried out as a co-operation between Chalmers University of Technology, KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Tetra Pak AB.The master thesis study presents an introduction that gives an understanding of the technical complexities and design possibilities of using thin plastic films and sheets in liquid carton openings. The knowledge is then transferred into five design concepts which points out the areas of opportunity. The technical introduction is widespread and extensive covering current packing trends, the liquid carton package and openings, thermoplastic material properties, and thin film and sheet manufacturing and shaping.
