BAE Systems Hägglunds has a long history of producing high performance terrain tracked vehicles (mostly for military applications), and they are now aiming at developing a tracked forwarder with similar techniques.The forwarder will be of series hybrid type where a diesel engine via a generator will power the motors (one for each drive wheel). Thanks to individually controlled motors and the gentle rubber tracks, this forwarder is calculated to have a considerably higher average speed in the terrain and to be more gentle to the soil. The forwarder with a weight of 11 metric tons and a load capacity of 15 metric tons is specified to have an average working speed of 7-10 km/h, a top speed in terrain of 15 km/h and a top speed on roads of 40 km/h.This master?s thesis aims at developing a conceptual design of the forwarder?s drive module which includes electric motor, gear unit, brake and drive wheel.To investigate if the requirements can be fulfilled a study of the dimensioning loading scenarios has been carried out. The resulting needs regarding the torque has been considered in order to determine the required gear ratios for different motor options.

Introduction: Dental health globally is not equally distributed as shown by caries prevalence is higher in areas with more immigration outside Scandinavia and Western Europe and areas with lower socioeconomic status. To reduce the health inequalities in Borås, a dental health project was made in five kindergartens in the district Hässleholmen. Purpose: The purpose of the survey was, by interviews with the actors involved (teachers, children, parents and the public dental service) find out the views of the project, and whether the project is relevant and should continue. Method: The method used was qualitative interviews with the actors involved in dental health project. A total of 21 interviews were then consolidated by a qualitative content analysis.

This master thesis examines commercial video games and their relation to the concept of immersion and realism. Games as a communicative medium is quite a new area of interest within rhetorical research in Sweden. Most of the research conducted has, however, been focused on gaming and formation on opinion ? games that explicitly tries to persuade the player, unlike commercial games that focus on entertainment, that is. But that does not mean that commercial games cannot influence us.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att studera effekten av musik som omvårdnadsåtgärd vid olika akuta smärttillstånd och att beskriva musikinterventionens innehåll och administrering. Med akut smärta avsågs postoperativ smärta, smärta som uppstår efter skada, vid olika behandlingar och vid förlossning. Vetenskapliga artiklar togs fram via databassökning. Vid sökningen gjordes begränsning till svensk, norsk och engelskspråkiga tidsskrifter, publicerade 1999 och framåt. De funna artiklarna granskades med avseende på vetenskaplig kvalitet och poängsattes utifrån för ändamålet avsedda granskningsmallar.

The effect of total dietary fat on the blood lipid profile: a reviewFat consumption has increased in Sweden in the 21th century, probably due to the advancement of the diet low car high fat (LCHF). Also, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of premature death in Sweden. Various blood lipids are used to evaluate the cardiovascular disease risk; total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglycerides among others. High levels of total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides and low levels of HDL are believed to increase the risk. The purpose of this review was to examine the effects of high-fat-diet on blood lipids, cholesterol, LDL, HDL the ratio between LDL/HDL and triglycerides through a systematic review.

The political and civil unrest during the last years of the First World War had a profound impact on the political life in many European countries. Academic research on the Swedish Social Democratic Party and the development of the parliamentary system during these years, often focus on the civil unrest and the mobilization of the labour movement during the spring of 1917, and the impact on Swedish politics of the Russian and German revolutions.This study is an examination of the relation between the Swedish labour movement and the Finnish Civil War of 1918. The general aim of the study is to examine how different levels and organisations of the labour movement acted in regards to the situation in Finland, and how these different levels and organisations interacted with one another. A second aim of this examination is to better understand during what kind of processes of the Swedish labour movement?s history that the Finnish Civil War occurred, and how it affected them.The conclusion of the study is that the there was a disparity between the leadership of the Social Democratic Party (SAP), which at the time was part of the Swedish government together with the liberal party, and the grassroots of the labour movement, organized in trade unions, and in the local organizations of the SAP and the Social Democratic Left Party (SSV).

Metod: Litteraturs?kningen genomf?rdes i tv? databaser, Scopus och Pubmed under perioden januari ? mars 2024. Inklusionskriterierna till denna ?versiktsartikel var att deltagarna skulle vara diagnostiserade med KOL, studierna skulle vara baserade p? humanstudier med studiedesignen RCT och slutligen skulle studierna unders?ka skillnaden mellan interventionsgrupp som fick aminosyratillskott med kontrollgrupp som inte fick aminosyratillskott g?llande p?verkan p? kroppsammans?ttning. Studierna exkluderades om de skrevs p? annat spr?k ?n svenska och engelska eller om de baserades p? djurstudier.

This study shows how to plan a pond with an ecosystem which although it will have turtles living in it will not need to be cared. I will also demonstrate how this pond would be designed to work in the natural landscape on Mallorca. The background to the study is that I am interested to investigate how plants that we in Sweden are using as indoor plants are growing in their natural landscape and how to build a land-scape with them. The study highlights different cleaning-systems that can be used to clean a pond in a natural way. A comparison will be made between the conditions of an exterminated turtle-species which will live in this environment and a species that is easier to care for.

The conservation of great apes faces many challenges, one of which is the threat of infectious disease outbreaks. Zoonotic transmission of respiratory diseases from humans to wild great apes has recently been confirmed. Since respiratory disease is one of the major causes of death in both gorillas and chimpanzees, this gives reason for major concern. Little is known about the risks of disease transmission from humans to great apes in natural environments, and there is a need for systematic risk evaluation. Researchers, conservation staff and tourists spend time in very close proximity of wild great apes, sometimes during long time periods, which poses a potential risk of disease spillover. However, the presence of researchers and tourists has been shown to decrease the risk of poaching, making the matter increasingly complex.

Sammanfattning Bakgrund: Det vetenskapliga underlaget för hur en kvarliggande urinkateter med flödesproblem bör hanteras är otillräckligt. Svensk lagstiftning betonar sjuksköterskans ansvar att ge patienten en individanpassad god vård. Vilket underlag för beslutsfattande sjuksköterskan använder och hur interventionen genomförs och utvärderas kan vara beroende av kontext och erfarenhet. Syfte: Syftet med intervjustudien var att undersöka hur sjuksköterskor beskriver att de resonerar och agerar vid flödeshinder i kvarliggande urinkateter. Metod: En kvalitativ intervjustudie med semistrukturerade frågor av tolv kliniskt verksamma intensivvårdssjuksköterskor vid en utvald intensivvårdsavdelning vid ett medelstort sjukhus i södra Sverige genomfördes i oktober 2010.

Föreliggande arbete avsåg att göra en riskbedömning av ergonomin vid arbete med diagnostiskt ultraljud av hjärtat så kallat EKO, före och efter införandet av robotassisterad undersökningsteknik. Den undersökta gruppen, 3 kvinnor och 1 man var biomedicinska analytiker specialiserade på EKO följdes med klinisk undersökning och uppföljning före och efter en intervention som för två av de fyra innebar omplacering och för de två andra utprovning under ca 4 mån av robotassisterad undersökningsteknik. Behov av vetenskapligt stöd för tesen att här sannolikt förelåg en relativt hög risk för belastningsskador samt den undersökta gruppens låga numerär motiverade omsorgsfull litteratursökning med en sammanfattande redovisning av sökresultaten. Tidigare arbete (1), har visat på användbarheten i Arbetsmiljöverkets författningssamling om ergonomisk riskbedömning (2) varför detta enkla och tydliga instrument kom att ingå i metoden. Tillgängliga data talar starkt för att EKO-arbete med den gamla manuella metoden utgör en belastning på rygg, arm axel och nacke av en sådan storlek och karaktär att flertalet arbetstagare riskerar drabbas av belastningsskador på kort eller lång sikt.

Sömnen är viktig för människans upplevelse av hälsa och något som ofta påverkas i samband med sjukdom. Sömnproblem är mycket vanligt, speciellt bland äldre personer, kan i sin tur skada hälsan både fysiskt och psykiskt. Att ha kunskaper i omvårdnadsinterventioner som främjar sömn innebär en möjlighet att hjälpa personer med sömnproblem och därmed öka deras välbefinnande. Därför är kunskaper om sömn och vila nödvändiga inom omvårdnad. Syftet med studien var att identifiera olika omvårdnadsinterventioner som kan användas vid sömnproblem hos äldre personer med och utan demens.

The purpose of this project is to get a fully functional, automatic steering system and a variable breaking system with an emergency breaking function to an off road vehicle. This off road vehicle is supposed to work as an aid in military situations. A team of two, Sebastian Attervall and Nichlas Gustafsson, got an order from Jonas Nyårds and the PreeRunners Project to construct a steering system that could manoeuvre an off road vehicle without any human involvement. To make this possible the vehicle would be guided by onboard sensors, cameras and computers. The team where also assigned to construct an automatic breaking system, there also no human would be involved.

Älvkarleby, landscape character and design proposal is a Graduated Thesis (30 ECCcredtis), in the subject of landscape planning at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, the Department of Rural and Urban Development. This thesis is a study and implement of the method "Landscape Character Assessment" (LCA), developed in England and Scotland as tool to analyse and highlight the landscape in different planning processes. The purpose of LCA is to increase the understanding and strengthen the role of the landscape. The thesis consists of three main parts: landscape characterization, guidelines and a design proposal. The landscape characterization emphasizes the values of the landscape in different types of planning processes, a documentation to base estimations on in any kind of change in the area. Theese estimations have resulted in guidelines that give proposals to the development of the landcape, focusing at the desingproposal.

Sjukdom i hjärta och kärl har ökat och är i dag orsak till störst antal dödsfall och sjuklighet i Sverige. Hör till de livsstilssjukdomar som ökar. Den här studien belyser personers upplevelse av livsstilsförändring till följd av sjukdom i hjärta och kärl och beskriver ett inifrån perspek-tiv. Den utvecklar förståelse för hur förändringen påverkar personen och livet och för att hitta rätt metoder i att stödja och motivera till att förändra sin livsstil. Studiens syfte var att genom en systematisk litteratursökning beskriva personers upplevelse av att förändra livsstil till följd av hjärt- och kärl sjukdom.
