Träd har alltid använts inom jordbruket och de senaste åren har de spelat en viktig roll i miljö- och klimatforskningen. Att integrera träd i jordbruket kan ha en mängd fördelar, såsom förbättrad jordstruktur och ökad avkastning. Östafrika är en av regionerna där man använder och forskar inom agroforestry. Delar av regionen har problem med svår torka, varför vattentillgången är en begränsande faktor inom jordbruket. Risken finns att trädens konkurrens med grödorna inte väger upp de fördelar som ett agroforestrysystem kan medföra.

Four central Nordic actors about the progress and extent of Nordic cooperationThe Nordic cooperation are often spoken as in terms of a peaceful international cooperation that is built upon a wide range of similarities among its members, such as a common culture, language similarities and a related kind of political system etc. But in spite of the fact that these so called propitious factors are present, many of the attempts that has been made trying to bring the states of the North (Norden) closer together has turned out unsuccessfully. Therefore no far-reaching Nordic cooperation has come to be implemented. The aim of this essay is to find out what the main reasons could be why this has been the case.I have chosen to take a closer look at the motives given by the former Nordic Prime ministers Tage Erlander (Sweden), Karl August Fagerholm (Finland), Einar Gerardsen (Norway) and Mauno Koivisto (Finland).

The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding about the police profession's impact on the singular individual, with a focus on roles, regions and emotions. The main question is to understand if and then so, how individuals outside of work will be affected of the profession and professional events. In order to answer this question I carried out six semi-structured in-depth interviews with police officers who worked at the main office in a police region in a midsize city in Sweden. To ensure reliability and allow readers to conduct their own assessments the quotations in this study are anonymous. The analysis of the collected material is based on selected parts of Goffman's theories about dramaturgical perspective as well as selected emotion theories.

New dwellings and commercial buildings in coastal regions has for some time now been a focal point. Old industrial harbours are regenerated into modern living areas with a recreational purpose. In Sweden the marina has not taken part in this development, thus remained in the monotony and large-scale structures of modernism. This graduation thesis looks upon the marina from a landscape architects point of view, where the marina foremost is a social venue. By revealing and discussing the development of the marina, its design and environmental consequence theories of the marinas future is presented. These theories are later tested upon the costal village of Rydebäck, south of Helsingborg. The thesis is structured in three parts: marina knowledge, proposal and resources. In the first part the historical development of the marina from prehistory time to now is discussed.

Det som undersökningen beskriver är hur EU:s säkerhetsstrategi påverkade de utrikespolitiska målen inför militära insatser i Demokratiska Republiken Kongo 2006, Tchad/Centralafrikanska republiken 2008 och Somalia 2009.Vår utrikespolitiska vilja och dess utrikespolitiska mål motiverar vårt deltagande i militära insatser utomlands. Dessa mål skall vara vägledande och skall genomsyra insatsens genomförande. Detta generade en problemställning i denna uppsats som lyder:På vilket sätt har bakomliggande säkerhetspolitiska resonemang till EUs säkerhetsstrategi påverkat utformandet av de nationella svenska motiven till internationella insatser i de EU-ledda militära insatserna i Afrika 2006-2009? Kan incitament och motiv identifieras som inflytelser i propositioner från samma period?Syftet var att undersöka målsättningarna i dokumentet Ett säkert Europa i en bättre värld, en Europeisk säkerhetsstrategi (ESS), för att se hur dessa målsättningar påverkat de svenska propositionerna inför de EU-ledda insatserna.Som metod användes en kvalitativ textanalys deduktivt, genom att analysera de utrikespolitiska målen med ett analysverktyg indelat i säkerhets-, välfärds- och idémål.Resultatet visade att EU:s övergripande säkerhetsstrategi genomsyrade våra motiv i propositionerna men att det fanns sammantaget en avsaknad av EU:s tydlighet med att vara aktiv, preventiv och handlingskraftig i propositionerna. För att få effekt i välfärdsmålsättningar anser EU att detta skall integreras med olika resurser och där även med civil och militär integrering.

The aim of this study has been to describe the ongoing region enlargement process in the region Mälardalen, located in the east part of Sweden, and to investigate how this process can affect the local level. The study is especially orientated on public communications and accessibility. The intention has also been to examine how the local accessibility can affect the re-gional development in Mälardalen. The local investigation object that has been chosen for this research is the city Strängnäs, situated in the province of Södermanland. The city of Strängnäs and the cities in it?s near geographic surroundings has been the benchmark for this casestudy, in which the local accessibility with public transportation has been investigated.

Samhällsutvecklingen går från industrisamhälle till informationssamhälle och Försvarsmakten (FM) går fråninvasionsförsvar till insatsförsvar. Tidigare var det mer regel än undantag att civil teknologi hade sitt ursprung imilitär teknologi, t.ex. Internet. Idag är det precis tvärtom med marknadskrafterna som driver utvecklingen avt.ex. IT i ett högt tempo.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och analysera kommunikationsprocesser. I uppsatsen analyseras det avsända budskapet från livsmedelsklustret i Skåne samt hur det avsända budskapet uppfattas av potentiella investerare. Dessa delar används för att finna förklaringar till gap mellan avsänt och mottaget budskap från regionen till potentiella investerare. Analysresultaten används i förslag till förbättrad kommunikation. Metoden i denna uppsats har ett förklarande syfte.

De situationer och uppgifter svensk militär kan komma att ställas inför i sitt arbete att försvara Sverige vid ett väpnat angrepp och vid internationella insatser kan vara komplexa, otydliga och krävande. Dessa parametrar ställer höga krav på de chefer som skall leda förbanden. Ett av kraven är att cheferna, oavsett ledningsnivå är välutbildade och kompetenta inom just sitt område, de ska vara duktiga på just det de skall göra.Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att analysera behovet av militärteoretisk utbildning för gruppcheferna vid arméns jägarbataljon. Vad blir effekten av en sådan utbildning? Vidare var också syftet av ge förslag på vilka delar ur militärteorin en sådan utbildning skulle kunna innehålla, för att specifikt passa jägargruppchefer.Inledningsvis gjordes en analys av populärversion TOEM AJB, där förbandets uppträdande och uppgifter särskilt analyserades.

The aim for this study where to investigate the frequency of cutting cracks in saw timber harvested in the storm-damaged forests in regions where the storms Hilde and Ivar hit. The idea for this work came from one of the region?s biggest actors, SCA Skog and Jämtlands district. The purpose where to find out how big proportion of the saw timber that contains cutting cracks, their financial cost in lost wood value and also give advice and suggestions on how to work against the frequency of cutting cracks. For the field-study some guidelines where used to make sure that the samples were taken under the same conditions, they were: ? The field-study must be performed under harvesting of storm-felled forest, which are horizontal/inclined trunks. ? The averaged sized tree will make it possible to harvest saw timber. ? The trunks can?t be root cut. A methodology called in Swedish ?Trissmetoden? was used because it is the most frequent used methodology in earlier performed studies and the only one that can be used I field. Under the field-study data were collected from 570 saw timber logs, 30 logs from each one of the tested harvesters.

Beslutsfattning om militära våldsmedel varierar med en nations civil-militära mönster. The aim with my research is to illuminate the meaning of IKEAs settle in Haparanda, for the region Haparanda-Tornio, its economic growth and its inhabitants. The research has been carried out only through qualitative methods. Some interviews with a range of people from varying companies have been conducted.Haparanda is a smaller Swedish city situated in the north, on the border to Finland and to a city called Tornio. These two cities, Haparanda and Tornio, has realised they are stronger in pairs, so they initiated cooperation across the border. Haparanda-Tornio is not a region of historically welfare and well-being.
