Denna uppsats behandlar den skattefinansierade Hälso- och Sjukvårdens ambitioner att, med befintliga resurser, kunna erbjuda en god Hälso- och Sjukvård. Beställarutförarmodellen är en modell med vilken offentliga organisationer försökt föra in ett marknadsorienterat synsätt i sina verksamheter. Modellen blev populär hos Sveriges landsting under en period då den skattefinansierade Hälso- och Sjukvården anklagades för att vara alltför kostnadskrävande i relation till vad den frambringade i form av Hälso- och Sjukvårdstjänster. Under den förhållandevis korta period modellen har varit i praktiskt bruk ute i landstingen, har två utvecklingar av den kunnat skönjas. Den ortodoxa Stockholmsmodellen, som betonar formalitet och konkurrens, samt Bohusmodellen som tar tydligt avsteg från Beställarutförarmodellens grundprinciper genom att framhålla samverkan och partnerskap som främsta attribut.

Chemotherapy is one of the most important methods of treatment available today for the treatment of neoplastic diseases and gives many patients an increased quality of life and a prolonged survival time (McKnight, 2003). The object of this study was to find out more about owners? views on and experiences of chemotherapy of dogs when it comes to for example quality of life, side effects and if they would make the same decision and treats their dog again in the future. A questionnaire was in the spring of 2009 sent out to the owners of 100 dogs that had been treated with chemotherapy for neoplastic diseases at Universitetsdjursjukhuset, Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet (SLU) in Uppsala between 2002 and 2008. The response rate was 67 %.

Vi intervjuade tio högskoleutbildade om hur deras livssituation påverkade deras etableringsprocess på arbetsmarknaden och deras syn på sin yrkeskarriär. Särskilt intresse riktades mot deras syn på pendling och flyttning. De frågeställningar vi sökte svar på var: Finns det skillnader i synen på mobilitet det vill säga pendla och flytta som kan kopplas till kön, familjesituation och klassposition? Påverkar dessa skillnader respondenternas etablering på arbetsmarknaden och yrkeskarriär? Finns det social konstruerade maktordningar som direkt eller indirekt påverkar individens handlingsval och upplevda handlingsutrymme? Vi använde begreppet intersektionalitet som en tankemodell för att se hur olika maktordningar samverkar. De teorier vi tolkade undersökningsresultat mot bestod av Bourdieus teori om klassposition, teorin om könsmaktsordningen samt Bourdieus familjebegrepp.

Piglet survival is a problem of great significance in pig production, affecting both animal welfare and economic aspects negatively. In Sweden it is illegal to use farrowing crates for sows on regular basis. To encounter this problem there is a proposal of an animal welfare program to allow the use of crates for sows during, and a number of days after, farrowing. The proposal aims to reduce piglet mortality and improve pig welfare. This present review aims to analyse how crating affects the welfare of sows, gilts and piglets as well as piglet mortality.

The aim with the thesis is to get deeper knowledge in one of the subjects botany, livestock technology or economy. I have chosen to get deeper knowledge in how to store potatoes. How are you going to act to keep the quality on the potato during the storage, with a minimum of weight lost? My aim with this thesis is to get a view over how the potato act in storage space. The storage environment is very important in the storage space.

Every year many dogs in Sweden are bitten by the adder, a venomous snake (Vipera berus). Despite the fact that adder bites are so common in dogs there have been few investigations made that study the effects of treatment with glucocorticoids, a drug that is commonly used. We have carried out a literature study concerning adder bites in dogs and a prospective study where case history, clinical signs and treatment have been recorded in dogs that were presented at two veterinary hospitals after a confirmed or suspected adder bite. Fifty three dogs were included in the study out of which 22 were treated with glucocorticoids. In our study, the group of dogs treated with glucocorticoids was compared with the group of dogs that did not receive glucocorticoid treatment by the owner or on arrival at the clinic.

  ?this Unpleasent klientel?A study on refugee care in Växjö between the years 1944 and 1947.The purpose of this study was to examine the treatment of sick refugees in Växjö in the 1940s. To achieve this a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods were used. The material found in the local archive and local newspaper was then put together and analyzed from the theoretical perspective, gender, class, ethnicity and social status.The result of this study shows that there were two main treatment wards for refugees, one that was supposed to treat women and children with active tuberculosis and the other ward treated refuges with ?epidemic diseases.? Foreign citizens were also taken care of in other words that were also not meant for refugees only, like the Epidemic hospital, which treated about 80 patients of a foreign nationality between 1944 and 1946.

The main purpose of this essay is on one hand to try to find and explain the formula of success of the rock group Status Quo, and on the other to elucidate and explain the foundation and essence in the music made by Status Quo, but also to study how, if and why the foundation and essence have changed over the years. The method of investigation is partly based on a musical analysis of three albums from three different periods: Hello! (1973), Ain´t Complaining (1988) and Heavy Traffic (2002), and partly on a sociological study of the group?s career between 1962 and today, 2005.The first part of the essay concerns the period between 1962-1973 with an analysis of the album Hello!; the second part concerns the period 1974-1988 and the album Ain´t Complaining; finally, the third part concerns the years between 1989-2002 with an intensified analysis of the album Heavy Traffic. In the forth part of the essay I discuss the career of Status Quo from a sociological point of view.I run to the conclusion that the essence of Status Quo is the boogie-woogie comp on Fender guitar by Rick Parfitt, the riff on Francis Rossis´ Fender guitar in combination with the base, the piano and the drums. This has been the essence through all the years, even though it was more difficult to apprehend it during the 1980s.

En av de frågor som diskuteras allra mest i politiken är hur man bäst gör för att öka sysselsättningen och minska arbetslösheten. Conceptions of labour immigrated women in Handelsnytt 1961-1976).The primary purpose of this thesis is to analyze the written conceptions of labour immigrated women in Handelsnytt, a Swedish Trade Union magazine. The analyses of the conceptions are based on theoretical categories of class, gender and ethnicity.

This study is about how older people are portrayed in TV- commercials, and what those images are saying about senior citizens as consumers. I?ve chosen two of Sweden?s most popular TV channels that are broadcasting commercials and from those two channels recorded commercials in a period of one week, three times a day (morning, afternoon and evening/night). My purpose with this study was to see when older people stared in commercials, which kind of merchandises they were marketing, in which manor they acted out their roles, and (if possible) say something about the elderly people as consumers..

Detta examensarbete undersöker hur studenter kan förbättra sina studievanor med hjälp av lifetracking viamobila applikationer. Lifetracking-applikationen som nyttjas i denna undersökning heter Lift1. Det visarsig att det är en fördel om motivationen till förändring kommer från personen själv och att denne har ettintresse och nyfikenhet för nya tekniker. Då ökar chansen att Lift fungerar som hjälpmedel. Om enstudent väljer att använda sig av Lift bör denne välja vanor som har ett högt värde för personen och somgår att upprepa under en längre period för att ha större chans till förändring..

Denna rapport avhandlar en tio veckors period på Otto Bock Scandinavia AB i Norrköping. Där analyserades en manuell testutrusning för funktionstest av myoelektroder, för att mäta muskelspänningar. Myoelektroderna används till att styra gripfunktionen hos handproteser, för patienter som förlorat en del av sin arm. Analysen ska resultera i att ge ett förslag på en automatiserad test av elektroderna. En stor del av rapporten består av studier kring hur testmetoderna fungerar och elektrodernas användning och funktion.
