Abstract This paper discusses protectionism of intellectual property rights in general and the conflict between large pharmaceutical companies? rights to patent and developing countries? rights to cheap generic preparation in particular. The essay focuses above all on HIV/AIDS medicine. The description tries to give an image of the different interests that collide and why they collide. The different actors are above all the pharmaceutical branch, including researchers, inventors and salesmen with their economic interest of revenue, and the population of the development countries and their pressed situation considering the great need of medicine.

In this report a study is carried out with the aim to identify added values of EPC projects implemented in schools in order to increase the interest of EPC projects on the market. The report examines how the planned maintenance, supervision, maintenance and corrective maintenance is affected, how insurance premiums and terms are affected, the indoor environment and how the tasks of the operating staff is changing. A literature study of energy savings, energy use in schools, maintenance and insurance as well as how energy efficiency improvements are related to the Swedish environmental objectives has been made. Visits were carried out in Ludvika, interviews were also carried out with operation technicians and local strategists in Ludvika as well as employees of insurance companies.Schools often have neglected maintenance and problems with ventilation and indoor environment. Schools also have a large energy saving potential due to their low utilization, mainly because they are empty parts of the year.

This master thesis explores the nature of public participation as a central and most current subject in the field of urban planning. A first impression exposes a seemingly unanalyzed consensus on the values and benefits which public participation provides the process of urban planning. The city may be a concern to all its inhabitants; hence knowledge and opinions of the local public are of great importance for the urban development. But is there really something new to these assumptions, and are the advantages of increased public participation in urban planning always obvious?  By using action research as a main method, I have put myself into the context of the Swedish municipality of Nacka and their projects dealing with the development of public participation.

The principle of proportionality is a guideline to interpret laws and agreements. The guideline has emerged within the EC-law as a moral aid to interpret laws. During the development of the guideline the EC Court of Justice has had the expression "appropriate and necessary" in mind. To consider the act as proportional it must fullfill the purpose, but not be more invasive than necessary. The advantage of the act must be proportional to the risk of damage.

Mitt syfte är att undersöka och förstå hur man hanterar kulturell och etnisk mångfald inom den kommunala äldreomsorgen som organisation. Speciellt de problem som eventuellt kan uppstå när människor på grund av sin kultur eller sin religion har referensramar som går stick i stäv med organisationens riktlinjer. Mina frågeställningar är: Hur hanteras mångfaldsfrågor i organisationen? Vilka erfarenheter har man av konflikter som uppstått mellan organisationens riktlinjer och en personal eller arbetssökande som på grund av sin kultur eller religion haft andra referensramar samt hur har man hanterat dem när de uppstått?Metoden är kvalitativ intervjumetod. Jag har intervjuat fyra enhetschefer och två chefer högre upp i organisationshierarkin för att få reda på deras syn på mångfaldsfrågor och deras erfarenheter av krockar mellan personal/arbetssökandes referensramar och organisationens riktlinjer.

Den 1 juli 2013 meddelade Högsta förvaltningsdomstolen (HFD) beslut i ett mål gällande kvittningsrätten för kapitalvinster och kapitalförluster på delägarrätter. Frågan som be-handlades i målet var om aktiebolaget hade rätt att kvitta sina kapitalförluster mot kapital-vinsterna som uppkommit i den utländska delägarbeskattade juridiska personen. HFD beslutade att neka aktiebolaget möjligheten till kvittning på grund av att lagstöd saknades.Denna bedömning väcker frågor, då aktiebolag som väljer att placera delägarrätter i del-ägarbeskattade juridiska personer får en mindre utsträckt kvittningsrätt vid jämförelse om delägarrätterna hade placerats direkt i aktiebolaget. Vid närmare granskning av kvittnings-möjligheterna kan det konstateras att även kvittningsrätten för kapitalförluster (inte bara kapitalvinster) på delägarrätter i delägarbeskattade juridiska personer är begränsade, vid jämförelse om motsvarande kapitalförluster hade uppkommit direkt i aktiebolaget. Be-gränsningarna för kapitalförlusterna på delägarrätter i delägarbeskattade juridiska perso-ner innebär att kapitalförlusten ska kvoteras till 70 % innan kvittning kan ske, vilket inte är ett krav om kapitalförlusten hade uppkommit direkt i aktiebolaget.

Interest deduction limitation rules have an important function as the regulations prevent the Swedish tax base to decrease. However, the restrictions must not be at the expense of the business environment. Interest deduction limitation rules that do not work in a satisfactory manner are likely to make Sweden a less favourable country to establish in. The first Swedish rules which were aimed to restrict interest deduction threaded into force in 2009. The rules were applicable to intercompany loans related to acquisitions of part ownership rights and the aim was to reduce tax avoidance through corporate group-loans. The rules proved to be ineffective since the avoidance continued and the Swedish rules could not tackle the problem.

Att säga att man har ?en nationalitet? är för många något man känner när man är född i och har vuxit upp i ett land. Men hur kan det vara om man av någon anledning tvingats lämna sitt hemland? Hur är det att inte känna sig hemma i sitt värdland, men att heller inte känna sig hemma i det land man en gång tvingats lämna? Hur är det att befinna sig i ett mellanrum? Jag har valt att undersöka ett material som jag själv har filmat från Kosovo sommaren 2005. Jag har också analyserat en intervju jag gjorde tillsammans med Nexhat, våren 2006.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a complex, often lifelong allergic disease affecting around 10 % of both dogs and humans. The hallmark symptom is severe pruritus, causing a lowered quality of life. Mast cells (MCs) are known to play an important part of the immunopathogenesis, promoting a faulty T helper cell type 2 (Th-2) response which follows by a production of specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies towards environmental allergens (Ag). To further investigate the role of MCs and its mediators in the progression of AD, a low-calcemic vitamin D3 analog (MC903) was used to induce AD-like symptoms locally on the ears of two different knock-out (KO) mouse strains. The first strain was Wsh-/- mice deficient in MCs.

Studiens övergripande syfte är att undersöka institutionen folkskolans syn på finska krigsbarn i Alvestabygden åren 1941-1945.Utifrån en strukturalistisk institutionsteori analyseras folkskolans behandling av de finska krigsbarnen, såsom det ger sig uttryck i källmaterialet. Källmaterialet består av examenskataloger från 30 folkskolor och material från Hjälpkommittén för Finlands barns arkiv.Folkskolans syn på krigsbarnen är intressant då folkskolan är den stora offentliga socialisationsagenten. Under perioden behöll fortfarande den Herbartska pedagogiken sitt grepp om skolan. De Herbartska idéerna fick tillsammans med en auktoritär skolkultur som resultat en skola med en disciplinerande funktion.En av studiens frågeställningar grundar sig på Bergs teori om utbildningssociologiska funktioner. Skolans funktioner är enligt den att reproducera en kunskapsbas/samhällsstruktur, kvalificera/sortera barnen för vuxenlivet, socialisera dem och förvara dem.Ur de 30 folkskolornas cirka 400 examenskataloger har 51 examenskataloger med spår av misstänkta krigsbarn sorterats ut.

The retail banking market in Sweden is highly concentrated and oligopolistic. This has been confirmed by numerous reports from different competition authorities within the EU, for example the Swedish competition authority. A considerably high number of different sorts of competition barriers has been pointed out in these reports. The competition barriers are mainly directed to the smaller banks and the potential competition. The retail banking market in Sweden is dominated by four major banks, which together has over 80 percent of all market shares.

Eftersom det pågår en migration av människor till olika länder är integrationsarbetet alltid aktuellt. Anledningen till att det är viktigt med integrationsarbete är att det finns tendenser att personer med utländsk bakgrund inte har samma möjligheter och rättigheter i samhället. För att uppnå integration måste politiker på lokal nivå skapa olika åtgärder för att det ska bli möjligt. Undersökningen har studerat en sådan åtgärd och beskrivit vad som påverkat dess utformning. Åtgärden som studerats är Göteborgs Stads styrkort för integration och det är ett balanserat styrkort och kom i användning i stadens verksamheter i och med Göteborgs Stads budget 2011.

The aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze the geographical distribution of everyday criminality in the town of Borlänge during the year 2002 and to analyze which measures to be taken in the physical social planning to decrease this everyday criminality there. The term everyday criminality is here to be understood as those categories of crime that appear most frequently in the records of reports to the police every year. Here two kinds of crime have been in focus, thefts from cars and office burglary.In fulfilling this aim two main questions have been answered. The first one is how the everyday criminality was distributed geographically in the town of Borlänge during the year 2002. The second one is which measures to be taken in the physical social planning to decrease this everyday criminality in the town of Borlänge.In order to answer the first question a spatial autocorrelation analysis, Local Moran LISA has been used.

White- and blue collar workers traditionally belong to different unions and, therefore, are covered by different collective agreements. Collective agreements for different employee categories create internal divisions, which mean that white collar workers are not obliged to do work that falls under a blue collar agreement and reversed. Historically the difference between white- and blue collar work has been fairly sharp and so has the difference between collective agreements. Due to the continuous development of technology white- and blue collar work within production has become less clear. This has resulted in an increasing amount of disagreements regarding what collective agreement should apply and whether the employee is obliged to perform different work tasks.
