Due to stress, the workplace is a setting where actions of health promotion are of great importance in the perspective of public health. Stress is caused by heavy workload, low control of organizing their tasks and lack of support from colleagues and supervisors. This can lead to cardiovascular disease, depression and insomnia. Due to the health problems that this causes, it is important to examine how senior immigration offices perceive their psychosocial work environment.The aim of this thesis is to examine how the senior immigration offices at the Migration Board perceive their psychosocial work environment. The study is based on a qualitative approach with deductive content analysis and the data has therefore been collected through interviewing six people based on a semi-structured interview guide.The result has shown that the senior immigration offices are pleased with their work environment and that their workload is constantly changing.

Im Blickfeld meiner Masterarbeit steht die Frage, welche Rolle historische Erfahrungen und Erinnerungen in Migrationsprozessen einnehmen. Es geht dabei um deutsche Frauen, die in der Nachkriegszeit (1945-1960) nach Schweden auswanderten, um eine Stelle als Haushaltshilfe anzutreten und die in der deutsch-protestantischen St. Gertruds Gemeinde in Stockholm eine deutsche Gemeinschaft fanden.    In meiner Untersuchung stellt sich heraus, dass die St. Gertruds Gemeinde nach 1945 eine Blütezeit erlebte. Als folge des Zweiten Weltkrieges hatte die Gemeinde sowohl in Schweden als auch in Deutschland wichtige Aufgaben zu erfüllen.

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the extent of the civil rights political participation on a municipality level. The starting-point is the participatory democratic theory. I have chosen to make a case study of the extent of participation among KPR ? the board of the pensioners in the municipality of Skara. KPR is represented by fourteen members from the seven existing associations for pensioners.

This bachelor thesis is titled Who has Right to Rights ? a Critical Discourse Analysis of the Swedish Government?s Migration Politics and is written by Sofia Lindqvist within the discipline of International Relations.The thesis takes its departure in the paradox that irregular migrants in Sweden are given different rights depending on which state institution they face. Through its collaboration with the Environmental party, the Swedish government has made it possible for irregular migrants to access extended health care. At the same time, one of the main goals of the current migration policy is to make deportations more effective. This essay aims to explore if the Swedish migration policies are compatible with universal human rights standards.

This Master Thesis documents the development of an On Board Diagnosis (OBD-II) interface for remote diagnosis of vehicles. The Master Thesis is part of a project at the company Wayfinder Systems in Lund. The purpose of this thesis was to design a scantool that communicates with a vehicle through its OBD-II port using relevant standards. In order to make the OBD-II interface development easier, a car simulator was first built. Both the car simulator and the OBD-II interface were implemented using a linux computer running a C-program with serial communication with an external electrical interface.

The thesis examines how language, culture and family structures interrelate and affect the process of migration. Vital is how women from a different ethnic background integrates during migration and in a dialogue context with us as researchers and native Swedes. The thesis is interdisciplinary and analyzes empirical data through a qualitative method by using the perspectives gender, ethnicity and identity. The empirical material consists of 7 interviews, which have been transcribed and then broken down in to quotations. Thesequotations have then been analyzed using the perspectives mentioned above.

The aim of this study is to investigate which management control mechanisms evolve in companies that receive funding from Venture Capital companies and why the management control systems evolve in the way that they do. A case study was performed on three Swedish high technology companies, that all received funding from Venture Capital companies for the first time in 2006. Merchant?s framework, defining all management control mechanisms as either, results control, action control or personnel control, was used to structure the study. Results show that the companies that received Venture Capital all increased the use of management control mechanisms within results control, action control and personnel control.

There?s still one problem to solve and that is the lackof web content specifically adapted for smartphones.The purpose of this paper is to identify and analyze from a user and usability perspective howto make a successful migration and design of a user interface for an existing web basedsystem so that it also fit smartphones.The paper starts with a theoretical reference material containing examples of differentapproaches for design and migration of an interface.A case study is performed and prototypes are designed with support from guidelines andrecommendations in the theory part.The conclusion stipulates that in the present situation there are no shortcuts when it comes tomigration of an existing web based system for the mobile web. The recommendation is aspecific interface for each different unit that are going to interact with the system.Research that analyzes differences between all mobile web browsers would be of greatinterest, a research that hopefully leads to guidelines for what level of mobile web standardthey should at least support.

Denna undersökning är en fallstudie som syftar till att ta reda på hur elever går tillväga när de löser ett algebraiskt problem. Syftet är att sätta sig in i elevernas tankar och sätt att lösa problem och genom ökad förståelse kunna förklara för dem på ett sätt de förstår och kan relatera till.Metoden som använts är enkät och intervju, och studiegruppen är en klass i årskurs nio.Eleverna är inte så vana vid att kombinera olika räknesätt i ett och samma tal. De har lättare att se algebraiska uttryck som uttryck för substantiv eller fasta siffror än de har för att se uttrycket som en variabel matematisk formel. De är heller inte vana vid att med ord beskriva vad de gör, därför löser de ofta talen rutinmässigt utan att reflektera över hur.Det är viktigt att det ingår varierad problemlösning i undervisningen så att eleverna övar sig på både praktisk matematik samt olika matematiska områden. Eleverna tycker det är roligt att göra annat än enbart räkna i läroboken.

The upstream spawning migration of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) at the confluence area between the power-station outlet and the bypass-channel in river Umeälven (flow 430 m3s-1) was compared in 2004 and 2005, two years with different experimental flow-regimes. In 2004 the water flow in the bypass-channel was altered during the day with increased flows during the nights while the water flow in 2005 mainly was altered between the weekdays and weekends. Salmon showed altered migratory behaviour in this confluence area, assessed with telemetry (n=116) and echo-sounding, with up- or downstream responses depending on flow-changes in both the bypass and the power station outlet. Increased turbine flow through the power-station generally attracted salmon into the tunnel outlet area while increased spill-flows facilitated salmon to enter the bypass. Echo-sounding in the confluence area showed an increased swimming activity up- and downstream due to time in the day and flow-rates through the tunnel outlet. No changes in activity could be detected due to increasing or decreasing flow through the hydro-power facility.

We were commissioned to do this study by the Red Cross Centre for victims of torture and war (RKC) in Skövde and questions was asked about how it can be to come as a refugee to a new country and start over. The purpose of this study was to search for a deeper knowledge about older immigrants experiences of their integration in the Swedish community. The conception of ?older immigrant? aimed of persons born before 1954 since these persons culturally was the older ones in the patient group at RKC. This study handled both men and women, was categorised in different themes and was analysed from theoretical points about identity and crises.

Brain drain innebär förlorat humankapital till följd av migration och förknippas oftast med högutbildade medborgares flytt till utlandet. Brain gain innebär å andra sidan ökat humankapital, antingen till följd av att migranter flyttar tillbaka till sina ursprungsländer eller genom ökade incitament för att utbilda sig på grund av migrationsmöjligheter. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka hur den lagändring som trätt i kraft i Ungern, för att förhindra migration av välutbildad arbetskraft, påverkar humankapitalet i landet. Uppsatsen begränsades till att enbart innefatta läkare.För att genomföra undersökningen användes data från olika databaser samt andra forskningsrapporter och kompletterande källor. Materialet analyserades med hjälp av teorier kring löneutjämning samt neoklassisk teori rörande nyttomaximering och inkomstfördelning.

There are no set guidelines on how to interpret the criteria?s in the adjustment rule within the meaning of the companies act. The criteria?s are not discussed in literature and the Swedish case law in this area is very limited. A reason for the limited use of the adjustment rule is the slow and very costly process, which does not grantee the outcome of the case.
