The aim of this study was to investigate patients? experiences of pain during dental hygienist treatment and scaling. The study is based on a questionnaire and includes 129 patients, from four dental clinics in Skåne, Sweden. The questionnaire consisted of ten questions with a Visual Analogue Scale as a main question. Questions about age, gender and dental anxiety were also included.

Landscape architecture is a visual profession, but other senses also affect our interpretation of a place. Sounds can give us a lot of information about an environment, and they are often perceived as positive. Despite this, research about outdoor sounds most often focus on the reduction of unwanted sounds ? noise ? but the absence of noise does not result in a good soundscape. To accomplish this, sounds we appreciate are needed.

Sedan ett antal år tillbaka väljer allt fler att bo i innerstaden med små barn. Det har skapat ett enormt behov av nya förskoleplatser. Den vanligaste lösningen har blivit paviljonger med tillfälligt bygglov där antalet moduler monteras efter behov.  Med denna flexibla möjlighet tycks dock barackerna ha kommit för att stanna och blir oftast något helt annat än den provisoriska lösning de en gång var ämnade för. Ett annat problem som förskolan står inför är att maten inte tillagas på plats utan körs ut från storkök och levereras i värmeslådor. Det fungerar förvisso men den pedagogiska poängen går om intet. Syftet med projektet har varit att rita ett dagis i Stockholms innerstad som med samutnyttjade funktioner ger ett flexibelt förslag. Till förskolan hör ett restaurangkök som också serverar en restaurang, öppen för allmänheten.

We compare Matte Painting with a theatrical backdrop, a background that closely or viewed from the wrong angle can break the illusion that it is a real world environment. We will investigate and present how to build a digitally created Matte Painting that enables not having to travel across the country for the ideal film location, but can shoot the scene in a studio environment. We analyze existing film scenes that have made use of Matte Painting, making comparisons between different uses for Matte painting and discuss a conclusion that answers our main question: "How has the evolution of the film technology, Matte Painting, looked like and how you can apply a digital matte paint in post production to enhance the overall experience of a movie scene?".

The degree project has been implemented abroad in Brisbane, Australia. A literature study has beenperformed parallel to the practical work within the subject »Corporate identity through graphicaldesign«. In this study deeper research has been made concerning the establishment and manifestationof a corporate identity and its program. The knowledge given from this study has been put into practicethrough two larger projects.The first project was carried out at De Pasquale, advertising agency in Brisbane, where a corporateidentity program was designed for a new company. The company is a fitness centre, called KnockoutFitness, which specializes in different types of boxing training sessions such as Boxing, Thai Bow andBoxercise but also Aqua aerobics.

The Innovation- and Design Engineer program at Karlstad university is a three year long engineer education. In the last phase a final piece is to be done and in this case Boda Borg in Skellefteå is the company in need of product development. Boda Borg is a company in the experience industry and they are located in nine cities from Gällivare in the north of Sweden to Karlskrona in the south. Boda Borg is a franchise company where every facility is their own. As a visitor you will experience physical challenges as well as intellectual in adventure rooms which are serial linked.

The political landscape is constantly changing and influenced by outside forces. The strong connection to the traditional media has evolved to include a new important part, social media. A good way for the politics to utilize social media is through their youth associations, whose main purpose is to engage young people and spark their interest in politics. Due to the increasing influence of social media, the politicians, parties and various actors have to adapt to its demands, to be able to gain visibility on these platforms. One way to adapt is to become more entertainment driven, because these platforms are a safespace where people find time to relax and have a good time. With a growing emphasis on simplified, engaging and more fun political massages, political communication has changed its form. This phenomenon is referred to as ?politainment? and encapsulates the merging of politics and entertainment. The purpose of this study is to examine and measure the frequency of politainment in Swedish political youth associations political communications.

Technical products are becoming more and more complex, this means that the drivers, mechanics and service personnel?s need for assistance such as the service literature is increasing. In this degree project the focus is on the technical manuals of Scania?s Workshop Manual. Today, the information in the Workshop Manual consists of collaboration between text and illustrations.

I det västerländska samhället idag lever vi allt längre, samtidigt blir de äldre allt fler. Det finns idag en uppsjö av olika hjälpmedel till den äldre generationen, ett av de mest använda är rollatorn. Med hjälp av en rollator kan en människa uppleva en större känsla av oberoende, frihet och ett ökad socialt liv. Rollatorn är idag ett väl använt och för vissa ett oumbärligt hjälpmedel. En rollator användare behöver ibland röra sig ute i mörker, vi lever i ett land där vi upplever perioder med mycket mörker, norra delen av Sverige har ett stort antal mörkertimmar på året och för att förbättra ett redan bra hjälpmedel kommer denna rapport ta fram en belysning till rollatorn.Vad är det som händer med oss när vi åldras, vad sker med kroppen fysiskt och psykiskt? Vilka kognitiva förändringar kan vi förväntas erhålla när vi åldras? Rapporten tar upp vad som händer med kroppen när vi blir äldre och vilka olika former av nedsättningar som erhålls psykiskt och fysiskt.För att besvara forskningsfrågan "Vad innebär användarnytta samt användarvänlighet för design mot äldre?" tar rapporten även upp begreppen design och användarvänlighet och tittar närmare på delar som användbarhet, användarupplevelse, användarnytta, design och olika designprinciper, samt så har intervjuer utförts.Studiens forskningsresultat beskrivs i en tabell där sammanställda designprinciper har ställts mot olika regressioner som man erhåller vid en stigande ålder och visar på vilka delar av en design som behöver förtydligas vid vilken form av regression.

It is based not only on audio but also on the visual performance. The tablature matches exactly with Montgomery's playing. The study analyzes the way he moved on the fingerboard and presents a theory why he moved in that particular way. The study leads to a discussion of various possible explanations for Montgomery's special way of playing.Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka Wes Montgomerys förhållande till gitarrens greppbräda.

This scientific essay contains an interpretation of injuries caused by weapons and traumas on the bones from the execution site Galgberget in Visby, Gotland. The site was used from about the 13th century to 1845 AD. The purpose is to examine the injuries and describe them, also to investigate what may have generated them. An important question is what bodily position the individuals had at the time of the injury. The methods presented in this essay can be associated with experimental osteology, also the basic methods such as sex- age- and stature- assessment has been applied where?s possible.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the motives underlying the consumption of alcohol among college students and if the motives differ between genders. The study is based on the following questions: What are the motives underlying alcohol consumption among students? Do these motives differ between men and women? Is there any connection between the motives for alcohol consumption and consumption? The study is a quantitative, empirical comparison study and the data presented is mainly descriptive. The study group consists of students from a university in central Sweden. After an exclusion of five students a total of 81 students participated in the survey, of which 55 were female and 26 were male.

The thesis and the product has beendeveloped in alliance with Faveo ProjectManagement with the shared goal to create a toolwhich is easy to use but still covers the essentialareas of project management theory. The tool willbe used internally by Faveo-employees as well asexternally together with Faveo?s clients in aneducational purpose.
