The aim of this thesis is to study a number of standards and theories, from the two research areas human-computer interaction and psychology, about how a graphical user interface (GUI) should be composed in order to facilitate interaction between humans and computers. Special emphasis is put on how the GUI should take into consideration the strengths and limitations of human cognition and perception. A study of three web catalogues shows how these theories appear when concretised. The following questions are answered in this thesis:What guidelines and styleguides can be found that specify the design of a user-friendly GUI?How do a few library catalogues on the web match a selection of these design principles?The guidelines are extracted from literature concerning human-computer interaction, psychology, automated library systems and web design.

The current thesis is on the rule of law and how the principles of the rule of law are met in thenew Swedish migration process. The migration process has been subjected to criticism duringseveral years and on different occasions. The migrations process is viewed through a ?rightsof the child? perspective, foremost to seek if the rights of the child are met. Detta genom närläsning av dikterna och application av kognitiv lingvistik på metaforerna kopplade till tid. Resultatet av studien är att all tid existerar samtidigt i Tranströmers poesi, enligt T.S. Eliots teori att både dåtid och framtid finns här och nu, vilket syns på diverse historiska aspekter i nuet såsom ordval och porträttdikter. Tiden i dessa dikter tar formen av insekter såsom ett armbandsur och ett fjärilsmuseum.

The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create a product in the form of a database that can be used for cost estimates of equipment within bio refineries. Through interviews and literature searches the key components and their costs were identified. The database was constructed in Microsoft Excel with different tabs for different categories of components; these tabs are further divided into three parts: one part with costs, one part with calculations and an information part. Most of the part with costs contains the expenses found in scientific papers during the literature study, the calculating part converts different capacities according to user preferences and the currency to euro (?) from 2010 and the information part consists of references and information about what is included in the cost.The database is a good tool for making cost estimates for bio refineries.

The Anglo-Saxon trust is not a new phenomenon, but existed as early as in the Middle Ages. The concept is customary among common-law countries, such as England the US,but unfamiliar to civil-law countries like Sweden. The person who creates the trust is called a settlor, the one who holds and administer the property is a trustee and the person who benefits from the settlement is called a beneficiary.In Sweden there is no legislation of how the trust ought to be assessed, but the need to understand it has probably increased with the internationalization.The Swedish Supreme Administrative Court has had a few opportunities to elucidate some of the uncertainties regarding trusts, but chose to abstain. With this The Swedish Tax Panel has very limited guidance from the court when they receive an application of an advance notice.A trust is not a legal entity nor a tax subject. This thesis analyzes the effects of different fertilization strategies on forest management at Holmen Skog in Umeå district. Harvesting volumes, net present values and fertilization intensity are presented for each fertilization scenario. The planning reserve (percentage area older than minimum final felling age) was also analyzed in this study.The thesis covers the analysis of five different fertilization scenarios, varying in fertilization intensity, from no fertilization at all, to fertilization at every harvesting operation (thinning or final felling). A sub-study was also carried out so the reader in detail can see how the different fertilization scenarios affect individual forest stands of different nature. The analysis has been done with the planning tool PlanWise, which is an application of the Heureka analysis and planning system.

Total protection is often the option chosen when protecting forests with high environmental values. An alternative to total protection is application of management regimes that do not interrupt continuity of tree cover. This study focuses mainly on continuous cover forestry (CCF) in forest stands already protected. All objects are situated in the county of Jämtland in northwest Sweden. The purpose of the study was to attain a greater knowledge about CCF practices.

Frågeställningen formulerades efter hand och lydde tillslut: ?Hur kan materia te sig i digital form?? Forskningen resulterade i en hypotes för hur digital materia skulle födas i datorn: genom att blanda två uppsättningar av data, såsom två genuppsättningar tillsammans skapar en ny organism. Under produktionen utvecklades därmed en metod för hur en grafiker ska kunna skapa tillsammans med en dator. Syftet är att ge andra grafiker ett nytt sätt att se på digital grafik.

Frågeställning: Påverkas en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse av revisionsarvodets storlek, om så på vilket sätt?Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att fördjupa tidigare genomförd forskning inom detta ämnesområde, genom att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan revisionsarvodets storlek och en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse, och i så fall på vilket sätt?Metod: Studien bygger på en kvantitativ metod där primärdata samlades in från databasen Retriever och omfattar 300 västmanländska mikroföretags årsredovisningar ifrån år 2009. I studien tillämpades även ett deduktivt tillvägagångssätt, vilket innebar att sekundärdata i form av etablerade teorier och tidigare forskning inom ämnet låg till grund för skapandet av studiens hypoteser. Efter insamling av primärdata sammanställdes datamaterialet i Microsoft Excel och därefter analyserades datan med hjälp av bivariat- och multivariat logistisk regressionsanalys i SPSS.Slutsats: I den bivariata logistiska regressionsanalysen återfanns inget signifikant samband mellan revisionsarvodets storlek och en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse. Däremot, påträffades ett positivt signifikant samband mellan dessa variabler i den multivariata logistiska regressionsanalysen.

Specifically the aims of this thesis have been to make a rough description of the largest competitive companies? products within the same market, explore and put together a brief theoretical foundation of contemporary research and produce concrete examples of ideas for digital applications.

The bioenergy market has been introduced relatively late in a perspective of the Swedish forestry. Nowadays branches and tops are used more frequently as bioenergy after harvesting. Therefore, it has developed a competitive situation between pulpwood and bioenergy. This situation has even established some questions. Two examples of these are: ? At what top diameter should the final piece of pulpwood be crosscut to get the best economically result? ? Should the top diameter, at the final piece of pulpwood, be crosscut at a thicker or smaller diameter than what is done today? The purpose of this report is to answer these two questions when the harvesting is made motor manually in beech stands.

BAKGRUND Under sommaren 2013 lyftes en fråga i Europa om det fanns ett behov av en standard för kommersiella diskmaskiner. Svenska aktörer, exempelvis Svensk dagligvaruhandel, kontrollmyndigheter och Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting, svarade ja. Tidigare forskning har tytt på att otillräckligt rena diskmaskiner kan påverka diskresultatet och att smutsiga ytor kan förorena livsmedel och leda till matförgiftning.SYFTE Att studera diskmaskiners renhet och om detta hade något samband med renheten på diskgodset.METOD Tio restauranger i Örebro kommun valdes ut genom ett bekvämlighetsurval. Diskmaskiner kontrollerades med utgångspunkt från en frågeguide och diskgods testades med ATP-mätare. För att analysera resultaten användes pivottabeller i Microsoft Excel och samband signifikanstestades med Chi2-test.RESULTAT Av tio kontrollerade diskmaskiner bedömdes åtta som smutsiga.

The consequences of this can be dissatisfaction from the local people as they are left out and do not share the financial benefits created by tourism. During the purchasing cycle of an all inclusive travel, it is possible that the tour operator can influence a sustainable development.The aim of this paper is to compare how a large and a small tour operator in their purchase of all inclusive holidays interacts with local players to create sustainable development, thereby creating a surplus value to the customer. The hypothesis is that the amount of knowledge and application of this knowledge regarding sustainable development differs in the purchase process between large and small tour operators.This paper was carried out as a case study.
